  Worthless trash. I put this on as background noise because the cable guide description made it sound decent -- kind of a cross between CANTERBURY TALES and FLESH AND BONE. I saw that Tim Roth was in it, so it seemed OK. How wrong I was. Roth must have done this because he needed some extra money to pay off his Christmas debt. Turns out that it's a soft-core sex comedy, and a badly-done one at that. I should have paid heed to the rest of the cast -- Hayden Christienson and Mischa Barton. I'm glad I only half-watched it. Had I wasted any real time on it, I would be embarrassed and pissed at myself.

  Wonderfully sexy and funny comedy that's part between Carry On and American Pie. Combining old world aesthetics and contemporary sensibilities, the film, based on a novel by author Giovanni Boccaccio, has a little bit of everything - laughs, romance, adventures and thrills!

  Hayden Christensen, Mischa Barton, Matthew Rhys and Tim Roth star in this medieval tale which is a mixture between a parody and a sex comedy and aims to entertain the audience, with a certain amount of gratuitous nudity and sexual innuendo,. Recommended just for the giggles, nice cinematography and costumes!

  American Pie meets Medieval Times. Virgin Territory is the story about a teenage maiden with three suitors during the Bubonic plague and decides to run from at least one of them. (Okay, so a little bit of Runaway Bride thrown in too). It also lightly and amusingly discusses the importance of virtue and virginity and the two aren't necessarily interchangeable. I liked it. It was entertaining. Craig Parkinson had to be the best part about this film. He was effortlessly funny. And the three hours didn't actually feel that long. Hayden Christensen is actually kinda hot when he isn't being pretentious and above it all. And I see Mischa Barton has gotten perfectly pigeon-holed into the "poor little rich girl" typecast role. The character Tindaro even says so in the film! Give it a look-see if you've got 3 hours to kill.

  This had a very strange plot and nothing relevant to say, but it was an entertaining waste of an hour and a half.

  I think it's safe to say that this "film" was the most screwed up piece of work i've ever watched.
  Apart from the irrelevant music soundtrack, retarded nuns, nudity, and just plain absurd random crap, It was a really decent movie. But overall really odd.. I enjoyed the swordfighting and all. I don't know how to explain how ridiculous this movie was.

  This movie wasn't what I expected, and, this time, that wasn't a good thing. I love period films, with the costumes, etc., but this one I couldn't get into. I just didn't think it was very interesting.

  "Not all virgins are angels and not all angels are virgins..." is the opening line of this film.
  This is a story of young adults in Florence, in the time of the plague. Sexually repressed virgins, who think of hardly anything else.
  Starring Hayden Christensen and The O.C.'s Mischa Barton. She is betrothed to one, and in love with another. He is wanted and trying to escape the sword.
  I am a sucker for romance, so I was semi entertained by Virgin Territory. It stuck me as a B rate cross between something like The Princess Bride and A Knight's Tale. Only not as good and with more nudity.
  It was a decent story, just seemed to fall a little flat in parts.
  If romance gets you, or you believe you can truly fall in love from just one kiss, you will get some amusement out of this film.

  I never saw a preview so I didn't really know what to expect, but it was at least funny. However, not enough to warrent another watch.

  pretty good flick with a lot of comedy, lots of boob shots, so be aware if you happen to have kids around while watching this one.

  What a turd. The premise suggested a quirky medieval piece in the same vein as A Knight's Tale. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an annoyingly raunchy and unnessary film. I thought it might be worth it to watch, especially since the storyline prevented Hayden Christensen from talking. I was left asking, why, Tim Roth, why?

  An attempt at combining pop culture and a period romance failed to deliver anything worthwhile. It had the acting talents, plot depth, romantic aspects, and about as many naked women as a porno. Ryan Cartwright was about the only amusing character in this failure of a comedy.

  There is very little good about this movie. The few good things are overwhelmed by bad acting and a poor script.
