|Synopsis:||A train conductor (Danny Glover), a pre-med student (LeeleeSobieski), and a fast-talking salesman (Steve Zahn) find their greed clashing with their better judgment after stumbling into a fortune in diamonds aboard a speeding locomotive, and attempting to figure out a way to keep their discovery a secret. A nameless passenger has died en route to an unknown destination. His only possession: a mysterious box containing a valuable treasure. With that amount of money, the conductor, the student, and the salesman could all live comfortably for the rest of their days. But all three would rather have the fortune to themselves, and as the train races toward its destination, temptation, betrayal, deceit drives them each to irrational extremes in a paranoid bid to outsmart the others. Little do these three desperate souls realize that there's something sinister to this innocent looking box, and they might not find out what it is until it's already too late. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi|

"I really like Steve Zahn and Danny Glover. But this was not their best performances. Well no, more like not their best film cause their performances were solid. The movie tries to be mysterious, but it only ends up being confusing and pointless. The ending was crap too. I really enjoyed the first half, but by the middle it started losing its steam (pun inteded). Leelee impressed me by being really creepy in this movie. You never knew if she was being sincere or just waiting for her chance to strike her scythe (not literally, figuratively) down on you. It just wasn't what I was hoping it would be. Not worth seeing more than once."

The film quality was distractingly bad, and I almost turned it off. But the wife wanted more, so we watched. It got pretty interesting for the first half of the movie. Then suddenly, it was like a new movie started and everything went to hell very quickly. Let's just say it went from "this is kinda cool" to "what the hell is going on?" in just a few minutes. Not a terrible movie, but one you should only watch under the right mood.

Low-budget surreal thriller set on an overnight train. Three people dispute what to do when they find a body and a mystery box. It's like a tele-play lost Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode. The exterior train shots were done with minimalist CGI, which added to the fantasy. I watched this late at night, and ignored the jumps in storytelling logic, so it was a fun viewing.

So bad it's almost good. Almost.

This movie left me hanging at the very end...so many victims, so much time...WASTED! One and a half stars for keeping my interest...
what a waste of popcorn! The theme of how far would you go to get everything you desire...ran thin! Stay away from this glitch! "Midnight Meat Train" (with Vinny Jones) will give you everything you desire in a movie...and more...

On a night train on Christmas Eve, one of the passengers dies and in his possession is a mysterious box that appears to have something valuable inside. The conductor (Danny Glover), a pre-med student (Leelee Sobieski) and a salesman (Steve Zahn) team up to hide the body and split the money.
The movie kept my attention, just like another strange movie with a mysterious box....called the Box. However, just like the Box, Night Train gets stranger and stranger as it goes on. Just like the Box, it also falls apart by the end. Sobieski is entertaining though since her character gets weirder and more creepy as the movie goes on and she pulls it off well.

Danny Glover picks up a passenger on-board his night train during the holidays. Long before reaching the next station, he and two of his other passengers (Sobieski and Zahn) noticed that the new fellow, apparently, died while on board, leaving in his lap a package containing a mysterious box. Little did they know that peeking inside it would cost more than they could imagine.
The first part of the movie was interesting. Too bad that I reached the last few minutes to realize that it was a total waste of time. If its any consolation, Leelee Sobieski played the creepy chick well.

They should have tagged this as a Twilight Zone rip off from the start, might have seen it in a more positive light if I knew that in advance.
The CGI was trash. You'd think for a movie called Night TRAIN they could actually afford decent outside train shots, stock footage, or something. The interior set looked like a washed out high school production. Thank God I didn't get the Blu-ray for "extra detail"
A death scene looks like someone is dealing canned hams at a butcher shop. An old woman who is clearly a guy in a wig.. and it gets worse.
If you're bored, it's good for a laugh.

How bad do you want something? How far are you willing to go? These are some of the questions we come to ask ourselves in Night Train. What I presume to be straight to video fare, but really entertaining. Of course anything with Steve Zahn in it is entertaining. He just brings so much life to his roles. Danny Glover is an everyman, with a big heart, and a desire to do right. Along with Leelee Sobieski's usually subdued performance we're taken on a train ride through a snow storm. When a mysterious figure suddenly dies and leaves behind a box full of what, "we don't know", the two passengers and conductor soon attempt to fulfill their dreams through a complex plan to steal what is left behind.

This started off interesting enough, but that didn't last for long as it got way too silly and stayed that way for the remainder, lamely setting itself up for a sequel.

worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life. Complete waste of my time. It doesn't even deserve half of a star rating.

Without giving anything away, this movie is more like an episode of Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits than an actual fleshed out movie. The movie starts with one of the worst beginning credits sequences in recent memory (just awful). The story and character's motives are completely removed from anything reality based yet for some reason, that I can't quite figure out, I liked this movie. I kinda liked that the title of the movie didn't give away what the story was actually about, like say... Snakes On A Plane. ;)
Not necessarily purchase worthy, but at least give it a chance with a rental.

Danny Glover always a good performance as the conductor of the train. the movie gives you a since of something not quite right, an erie feeling of a last ride. Leelee Sobiesky is such a dyspeptic evil character. On pins and needles through most of the chilling movie. Everyone wants the magical box.

I wasn't expecting much from this movie and that was good because I didn't get much. The story idea wasn't too bad. With more writing and thought this movie could have been a cool thriller. As it stands now, it is nothing much. Your typical C movie that tries to grab your attention with names like Danny Glover and Steve Zahn. The acting was pretty bad as well, but the actors didn't have much to work with as the script was terrible. I give this movie two an a half stars solely because it wasn't a bad idea and I wasn't expecting much. If you are fans of one of the actors or just feel compiled to see it, like I was, don't waist your time, however be warned.

By far, the supidest movie I've ever seen!!! Did they not read the script before they agreed to it?? Love all the actors and I guess they did the best they could with what they had, but GEEZ!! Stick-o-rama!!

This movie totally SUCKS! I can't believe Danny Glover is in such a horrible movie! Don't waste your time!

Well I've seen some really bad movies lately and didn't expect a whole lot just ecasue this looked like a low budget movie. So to my surprise this turned out be pretty good. The story about 3/4 of the way was really intersting and even a little different. Then it got a little on the superstisious side but still ok. The cast was surprisingly really well cast. Danny Glover very good, always like Steve Zahn and even Leelee Sobieski was better than ever. This was entertaining and it made me wanna watch it all the way through.

It's pretty slow to get going but the psychological stuff starts to get good when you learn why they never said what was in the box. I only watched it cuz of Steve Zahn and Danny Glover, and although it wasn't a complete waste of my time it was filmed stragely and it was very predictable.

It was an ok movie but nothing I would watch again. It's kinda a weird plot and that makes the movie better. The acting is ok, but again nothing great. If you want to see a movie that is a little weird with a different kind of plot and want to pass a little time, then give it a watch.
