1
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
I often find the middle film of all great trilogies the best. LOTR:TTT was no different. Love the Battle of Helms Deep.
2
Casshern 2004,  Unrated)
Casshern
This film is amazing. It looks great. The Soundtrack is great. At times it looks like the Anime it is sourced from. It is beautiful to watch, It is stunning. that said I still don't know what is going on???
3
Deep Blue Sea 1999,  R)
Deep Blue Sea
What's not to like, this film is Renny Harlin at his best. Over the top sets and action. Thomas Jane and Michael Rapaprt make any move worth watching and Saffron Burrows strips for no real reason. Superb
4
Alien 1979,  R)
Alien
An incredibly tense and scary affair. Sci fi horror at it's best. Still stands up today because of it's cast, direction and visuals. I was 10 when I first saw this and had to take the next day off school. Those BBFC ratings are there for a reason.
5
The Matrix Reloaded 2003,  R)
The Matrix Reloaded
It's that middle thing again. Most people hate the sequels to the matrix. God knows why. What a car chase. OK maybe could have done without the cavernous orgy/rave scene.
6
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 1980,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
No 2 again. This is so much darker than the other 2/5 movies. OK Episode 4 is the one that started it all, but this ones for the adults.
7
Black Hawk Down 2001,  R)
Black Hawk Down
One of, if not, the best, War movie, if not, movie, ever made. Punctuation aside, it is that good. Real and unflinching. You feel like you've spent 24 hours fighting on the streets of Mogadishu with these guys. Fear, confusion, anger and death. Just like war, just like the business of killing another man. Director, cast, story, DoP, music, sound - everything is spot on. As usual Eric Bana steals the show. Watch it. Hoo-Aah!
8
Aliens 1986,  R)
Aliens
Just as good as the frst and yet nothing like it. this is the action scifi version of Alien. Love It!!
9
The Fast and the Furious 2001,  PG-13)
The Fast and the Furious
What do I love about these movies, who knows I don't even have a car. But it is such an action package.
10
The Fisher King 1991,  R)
The Fisher King
Brilliant and touching film, with Gilliams fantastic visionary story telling, Behold my magic wand and release your golden orbs!
11
Titanic (in 3D) 2012,  PG-13)
12
Apocalypse Now 1979,  R)
13
Donnie Darko 2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
It's as good as they say it is. Watch It! It will mean different things to different people. Is it about fate?? Is it about choices? Is it a film about time travel and the paradoxical events that are created? Am I just spouting trash and trying to be clever? Look, listen and learn.
14
Ocean's Eleven 2001,  PG-13)
Ocean's Eleven
Had to give myself the pleasure of watching this great movie once again.....in HD. It really is a beautiful piece. Plays well, sounds great and looks fabulous. George Clooney is an actor I like to watch, he oozes charisma and is a marker for all men trying to impress the ladies. That is ladies, not skanks. But the boy George aside, all of the cast are having a whale of a time in this and they are fantastic. Even the horrible Julia Roberts doesn't do too bad and I despise her normally. It all being set against the back drop of Las Vegas helps as well. Aaah The Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, The MGM Grand, such amazing places. I will go back and take some great photos next time. I digress, the story is great as well, with a few little twists and turns. Very much like 'Sneakers' which was another great little ensemble cast affair. Don Cheadles accent was a bit Dot Cotton though.
15
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope 1977,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
It's Star Wars, It's my childhood, it's my most watched film...ever.
16
Terminator 2: Judgment Day 1991,  R)
17
The Bourne Identity 2002,  PG-13)
The Bourne Identity
The film that spawned a thousand sequels. Well I think it did. Much like The Matrix inspired numerous scifi/fighting actioners (from the West anyway, Our Eastern friends were doing it for years) this one reinvented the Spy Thriller. Even James Bond sat up and took note. The story isn't entirely original, but then the book it comes from must be about 30 years old, so who knows. But ever since this film, fight editing has got quick and in your face and the hand held camera is king!!! The best bit is the sequels are even better.
18
The Bourne Supremacy 2004,  PG-13)
The Bourne Supremacy
Bourne is back. And in a unusual twist for sequels, it's even better than the first. Still roaming the gritty grey rainy world of Europe, still driving like a loon and still staying one clever ass bastard step ahead of his makers. Wow wow wow and more of the legend that is Cox too!!!!!! I await the Bourne Vs Bond comic strip.
19
The Bourne Ultimatum 2007,  PG-13)
20
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
21
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
22
The Matrix 1999,  R)
The Matrix
No one can tell you what The Matrix is, you simply have to experience it for yourself. And if you never have then where have you been.
23
The Matrix Revolutions 2003,  R)
24
The Mummy 1999,  PG-13)
The Mummy
Brilliant love it. So what if it borrows from the Indy ethos, maybe they shouldn't have waited so long to make Indy IV.
25
In Bruges 2008,  R)
In Bruges
Very entertaiig from the off. A black comedy with laugh out loud moments that quickly turn violent. Set against the backdrop of Bruges which is more ineresting than you think. Like I was in a dream. 1 gay Beer please barman.. You know more midgets die proportionatly....
26
The Mummy Returns 2001,  PG-13)
27
The Incredible Hulk 2008,  PG-13)
The Incredible Hulk
Not as good as the first, but still good. A much better take on the comic book movie. More action than the first, but still well developed characters. Weird that chracters were the same but actors were different. Loved the ending, had to revisit Ironman after;-)
28
Bad Santa 2003,  R)
Bad Santa
Don't watch this one with your kids. It just might not be suitable. It is rude, crude and downright dirty. But it just might be the best Christmas movie out there, the funniest for sure. Billy Bob nails it, The kid is immense, Tony Cox is huge and Lauren Graham is funny and so hot. It smacks Christmas on the head with a pneumatic drill dressed in bows an ribbons. The only people that wont like this is those miserable gits that think all they have to do is be soooper happy for two weeks a year. Well I hate you guys!!!
29
Braveheart 1995,  R)
