The Little Mermaid
Need I even say anything at all?
2
Gattaca 1997,  PG-13)
Gattaca
This movie talks of a future that is really quite scary. Genes. Is it all that matters? Ethan Hawks is fantastic in this role. And he looks damn good while doing it too. Hmm. I didn't really understand the end though. What made Jerome do it?

Troy 2004,  R)
Troy
Awesome bloody fights and really good storyline. Whee. I like the fact that it's historical too. Makes it more authentic, no? Yeah and that's not even considering all the hot bods inside. hee.
4
Catch Me If You Can 2002,  PG-13)
Catch Me If You Can
very slick.
5
Ocean's Thirteen 2007,  PG-13)
Ocean's Thirteen
Very very nice!!!! Intellectual, with clever plot twists. Slick n smooth. Love it.
6
V for Vendetta 2006,  R)
V for Vendetta
Bold and amazing. Abstract concepts that are strangely compelling. Chillingly brilliant and touching at the same time. A classic.
7
The Dark Knight 2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
One of the best movies I've ever seen. Kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, especially with the Joker's truly psychotic performance. Batman became grittier and Two-face was well played. Themes of morality/chance/truth were superbly weaved into the movie, giving it greater dimension (think the gripping ship detonation scene), and dimension is what elevates an ordinary superhero flick into something with more thought and tension, beyond mere action.

Watchmen 2009,  R)
Watchmen
How on earth did Watchmen get such poor reviews?! It's AWESOME. A huge departure from the normal superhero genre. These humans/heroes feel real and gritty. Found the long running time absolutely endurable, it never got too draggy or boring though the necessity of certain sections could be questioned. Thoroughly enjoyable, not just as dumb entertainment, but also as a look into human nature. Not quite sure if my admiration should be directed mostly towards Moore and Gibbons since the movie apparently follows the comic really closely... but heck, if frame for frame made a good movie, why not?

(500) Days of Summer 2009,  PG-13)
(500) Days of Summer
The way it echoes my life is freaky. I might not have liked it SO much were it not for the fact but I'm sure I would have liked it still. It's something different. It's achingly sweet. It speaks out to that devoted being in each of us (if there is one in you). And it sends us all an encouraging message/slap to the face about life, its mysteries, hidden feelings, fate, faith and hope.
