Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! 2009,  PG)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!
For sheer jaw dropping badness this film must be experienced! Why anyone would want to have tomatoes as the main feature in a `monster movie` and its bizzarre internal `humour` and that over the top theme `song` are, frankly, difficult questions to answer. Its easy to see why this film regularly makes the top 10 worst movies of all time. Revel in its total crapness!

Monsturd 2003,  R)
Monsturd
A combination of a sh*t monster running amok, bad acting, the worst police force you will ever see and people being warned not to go to the toilet makes this one of the most ridiculous and hilariously dumb films I have seen. You simply won`t believe their plan to kill the thing! A classic.
3
Forbidden Planet 1956,  G)
Forbidden Planet
Definately the best science fiction film of the 50`s, has that rare combination of humour, menace and the novelty of seeing Leslie Neilson in a straight role! The scope and power of the visuals and story is impressive - well worth a look.
4
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension 1984,  PG)
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
10/10 for originality, bonkers ideas and sheer mad enthusiasm! This film will either just blow you away or have you glued to the screen in case you miss another totally bizzarre idea or gimmick. Don`t even start to suss out the plot! Difficult to compare it with anything else I`ve seen - probably unique!
5
Aliens 1986,  R)
Aliens
One of the few `better than the 1st one` films - goes from unease to creepy to scary with brilliant action and effects - a classic Sci-fi/ horror crossover
6
Attack 1956,  Unrated)
Attack
A rare treat - a study of cowardice in war with no redeeming features. What do you do when your leader is more likely to get you killed than the enemy?!
7
The Birds 1963,  PG-13)
The Birds
That this film still has the power to effectively unnerve and scare 40+ years later shows its class. The unexplained bird attacks, the growning unease, the feeling of being besieged by nature is done in a masterful way.
8
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad 1973,  G)
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
A good Sinbad film should have action, monsters and exotic looking women - this is satisfyingly delivered! Watch Ray Harryhausen`s Kali fight with 6 swords, see Sinbad struggle against various monsters and magic and you have Caroline Munro as a bonus - jobs a good `un!
9
Dark Star 1974,  G)
Dark Star
An antidote to some of the more po-faced Sci-fi out there. Instead of slick efficiency everything is going wrong on board the Dark Star and things are just crap for the fed up crew! Its the 70`s in space with serious beards all round, no toilet paper, an alien that resembles a giant tomato acting up and one of the talking bombs decides to take a crash course in philisophy - darkly hilarious.
10
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.) 1966,  R)
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.)
A truly epic film that takes the 3 main characters through an western/ American civil war landscape, looks into their background and finally pits them together in a big finish. One of the best westerns I have seen - a classic.
11
Jason and the Argonauts 1963,  G)
Jason and the Argonauts
With classic Ray Harryhausen special effects that still look good today this is a great fantasy adventure with an epic quest, treachery and best of all fights with may bizzare and ledgendary monsters.
