This is a great Australian film which was released in 1999. The main character, Jimmy (Heath Ledger) works for a local gangster (Bryan Brown) without any loyalties. When Jimmy is moved up the local chain of command as a runner for this gangster, he is given quite alot of money to give to another gangster across town. However, when the gang leader does not answer the door [suffers from emphysema] Jimmy decides to go for a swim. He places the money in the sand. Not a very good idea. Some young children, [terrifically portrayed by a young Australian actor and actress] see this and take the money. |
