For such a beautifully fictional tale, the characters are so truthfully deep. For such an outrageous story, this movie hits so close to home. Wes Anderson's finest.
A beautiful portrayal of the things that make relationships painful and the things that make relationships worth it. Jim Carrey proves his range. Kate Winslet blows me away. Kaufman and Gondry make a great team.
This film is a patchwork of all of Gondry's previous works. When pieced together, these patches create an amazing quilt of inginuity, originality, creativity, and randomnity... the things that dreams are made of.
This film brilliantly paints the gritty quirks, vices, and flaws of a dysfuntional family with the bold colors of hilarity and reality. Fall in love with the Hoovers. Watch this movie today.
A time machine to 1995. This film really takes me back. Its quirky and doesn't take itself too seriously, although it deals with an array of serious subjects a teenager might face.
Punch-Drunk Love is pure poetry. As in every Anderson film, the story is erratic but the emotions and relationships are incredibly real. This part must have been made for Sander because he fits in this role like a glove. Anderson is truly a genius.
Way funnier than expected. Much like its unlikely hero, this film has surpassed incredible odds to become an unexpected fave. Jack Black rocks in every movie he's done.. what more can I say?
