Chinjeolhan geumjassi (Lady Vengeance) (Sympathy for Lady Vengeance)
I would of loved this film even if it had no subtitles because it just looks so gorgeous. The character development was phenominal and the number of emotions that Geumjassi goes through, throughout the film is just so great. The only problem with the film was that the first 30minutes or so were a little hard to follow, but it eventually got put together. And that might of just been because of it being foreign, i dont know. But as I said, this film is just a treat to look at.

Oldboy
A near perfect film. The whole project is, flat out, beautiful. Its just a treat to watch. To add to that, there is also many great twists and turns. This is how films should be made!

Grindhouse
This movie fucking rocks!!! I love it! I dont plan on writing on a huge review like I've done at other places, but I will just say that you must see this at a theater, now! Because you will be a part of something special. I've got a lot of people pissed at me just because I won't shut up about this film. This shit is what I live for!!

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang 2005,  R)
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
The greatest comedy ever made. It's a mystery too, which adds to it. It's a rare comedy, because it passes the test of time. Michelle Monaghan puts on an amazing performance, proving herself as an actress of the future. Val Kilmer and Downey Jr. are one of the best on-screen duos ever put together...their chemistry is so good that its unbelievable. This also has, by far, the best dialogue that I have ever heard. The writing it great...but the film is mostly so damn good because of the quality of the performance.

Mulholland Drive 2001,  R)
Mulholland Drive
Lynch is the einstein of film. Just when you think he had done it all...he brings it in again. This film was mystic as usual, and had a horror feel to it as well. Watts kicked acting ass in it and i am blown away by the direction and characters.

Hard Candy 2005,  R)
Hard Candy
Such a genius film. Its what I love. So simple, but yet so complex. Now, if you havent seen the trailer for this film or haven read anything about...dont. It is so much better if you dont know the plot, going in. Its my kind of a torture film, cause it tortures with your mind. The acting is very good. Ellen Page is so good in this film. Another thing I love is that the whole thing is shot in one house (most of it), so there is technically like only three or four scenes. This could easily be done as a play. And there were only four or five actors in it, and 99% of was just the two main characters in the house. There were times where I felt kind of naughty while watching it, but I was so pleased when it was over. The unpredictable aspect of it was great. I really caught myself feeling for a character. You would feel so sorry for a certain character and hate on another, but yet still wanted to see more. Many might see this as a thriller that can seem weird at times...but to me, it came of as a love story.

Across the Universe 2007,  PG-13)
Across the Universe
A truely great film. Of all the musicals, this one had one of the best put together stories. It wasn't just random music. All the songs fit and expanded the storytelling. The performances by Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess were near perfect. This was also just visually entertaining. This is one of those films that does nothing but make you feel happy when you are done watching it.
