Not what I expected, but still good. I'm not sure that they accurately portrayed how it really went down... I haven't read (in any place) that the Bell Witch was symbolic of the whole "John abusing Betsy." I don't think that even happened. They should have put the Bell Witch's laughter at John's funeral... That would've been eerie, but still true :)
Okay, in all honesty, this is a rarity for me. For once, I totally prefer the movie over the book... I realize Paolini was a first time writer, and he did an amazing job, but it just wasn't my type of book, I guess. The film, however, was outstanding!
Woo hoo! Wong and Morgan did it again, in what was supposed to be the third and final installment... Great casting and fantastic story line :) An improvement from the previous one.
Fantastic movie, especially for being one from a few decades ago! =D Why is this movie not as well known as the "Friday the 13th" and "Halloween" flicks?!
Cool movie, and great eye-candy, but that doesn't necessarily make it a good horror/thriller flick. I suppose I was expecting a bit more, but I did enjoy the way all the legends were meshed together. :)
A pretty awesome flick :) It might have been a bit better if they had stuck to the true story, but Johah is pretty cute, so I can't complain too much... Lol
Pretty decent movie :) It was horrible when compared to the book, perhaps because of the casting. But then again, we do live in a world filled with HUMANS, so I guess we can't always get what we want. I would have preferred Gaspard and Emily. *shrug* Oh, well. 'Twas very funny, though :D
Simon Baker is such a cutie! I really liked this :D George Romero has such a unique and interesting point-of-view when he implies that humans in society today are zombies. Very cool =)
Wow. Anne Hathaway is soooo pretty! An Simon Baker and Adrian Grenier are soooo hottt! lol! But this was a superb movie! Meryl Streep (and the rest of the cast, as well) did a great job!
Awesome movie! The fact that it didn't stick to the book completely, but still somehow managed to tell a unique story all on its own is absolutely amazing to me! =D
I found this movie absolutley horrifying as a child! Perhaps it was the human horror involved in it... I can handle zombies, and vampires, and werewolves, and ghosts, but show me a human being burned alive, and I'll more than likely cringe at the sight.
No words can describe the emotions I felt when I watched this movie. Just knowing that people actually committed these horrific crimes against other human beings (or any being, for that matter) is true horror. Enough horror, in fact, that it gave me nightmares. Excellent movie. I have yet to read the book, however...
Great animation job!!!!! To spend three years on ONE movie is fascinating to me, but perhaps only because I am an impatient person...Lol :) Anywho... Selick, Burton, everyone did an amazing job making this movie :D
