Memento 2000, R)
Incredible psychological drama. The style of storytelling - with the scenes being shown out of chronological order - could've easily come off as gimmicky, but it really works, and manages to put you right in the main character's shoes more effectively than most other films out there. Also, the director (Christopher Nolan) creates a great atmosphere, and the performances are top-notch. |

Audition (Ôdishon) 1999, R)
Something to keep in mind if you want to get the most about this movie: stop reading this. This is a movie where, the less you know about it, the better; it'll make it that much more effective. Seriously, unless you really want some of the surprises of this movie partially spoiled for you, stop reading this. |
