My Favorite Movies

Incredible psychological drama. The style of storytelling - with the scenes being shown out of chronological order - could've easily come off as gimmicky, but it really works, and manages to put you right in the main character's shoes more effectively than most other films out there. Also, the director (Christopher Nolan) creates a great atmosphere, and the performances are top-notch.

Excellent movie, and the best of the trilogy. Epic, emotional, and excellently acted - not to mention the amazing action sequences.

Stanley Kubrick's best film. Disturbing, powerful, provocative, and altogether brilliant.

Something to keep in mind if you want to get the most about this movie: stop reading this. This is a movie where, the less you know about it, the better; it'll make it that much more effective. Seriously, unless you really want some of the surprises of this movie partially spoiled for you, stop reading this.

For those of you who are still reading: this movie is absolutely excellent. It starts off as a relatively straightforward drama, which it plays out as for the first hour or so. After that, it gets progressively darker and more & more insane until it climaxes in one of the most disturbing, hardest-to-watch scenes I've ever witnessed in a movie (if you've seen it, you know what scene I'm talking about - if you haven't, I ain't spoiling it). It's a brutal, powerful, excellently-acted-and-directed movie, and a definite recommendation - if you have a strong stomach.
