This film turned out to be much better than i anticipated. With the kids going stir crazy during the school holidays, a movie seemed worth. I've always liked Dwayne Johnson and here, he proved again, to be as charming as ever.
The plot is simple enough - two aliens children land on earth in the hopes of retrieving scientific information that can save Earth from being tsken over by their alien race. They get into our hero's cab and the rest is an adventure which includes car chases, some cute comedy, a bunch of humans dressed up as humans, a dog and one predator-like soldier.
In short, it's a fun ride, and kids are sure to love every minute of ot. . Its an entertaining ride all the same. Buckle up and enjoy . Alexander Ludwig , again rob our hearts too ! great perfomance from him...
The Unborn is a supernatural thriller that draws upon the legend of a dybbuk, a malevolent spirit that refuses to leave the human world and inhabits the body of a person. Protagonist Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) is plagued by merciless dreams, visions of strange looking dogs, and an evil child with bright blue eyes. The movie starts with Casey jogging, when suddenly, there is a blue glove on the trail. She picks it up and turns around to see a boy, with a blue glove missing from his left hand. After Casey blinks, the boy turns into a dog with a mask on. The dog walks into the forest, with Casey after it. Casey finds the mask on the ground, with the string buried in the dirt. She digs it up, and finds a piece of pottery with painting on it. It had a picture of a mother & her unborn child. Suddenly, the unborn baby opens its eyes. The next scene cuts to Casey baby-sitting Matty, her neighbor's son. He is upstairs, supposedly taking a nap. Casey is downstairs talking on the phone to her best friend Romey (Meagan Good). Suddenly, there is a voice that says "Jumby wants to be born now," on the baby monitor used for Matty's baby sister. After yelling, "Matty, are you awake?", Casey goes upstairs to check on them. Matty was standing over the baby's crib, holding a mirror to the baby's face. After being hit with the mirror, Casey's eyes begin to change color (see Tetragametic chimerism and Heterochromia) and she learns she had a twin brother who died in the womb. Casey begins to suspect that the spirit haunting her is the soul of her dead twin, being possessed by a dybbuk, wanting to be born so it can transfer to the world of the living. Casey meets a woman named Sofi, who is revealed to be her grandmother. Sofi explains that she had a twin brother who was killed in Nazi experiments in Auschwitz when they were both just children. The boy was brought back to life by a dybbuk who intended to use his body as a portal into the world of the living. Sofi killed her twin to stop the dybbuk, and now it haunts her family for revenge. Sofi refers Casey to Rabbi Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can perform a Jewish exorcism to remove the dybbuk. The exorcism is performed, but things go awry as the dybbuk tries to stop Rabbi Sendak from completing the ritual. Many people are wounded and others are killed. The exorcism is finally completed, and the dybbuk is drawn back from the human world. Casey's boyfriend is severely wounded and later dies with Casey by his side. Casey mourns him and she soon finds out that she is pregnant from him with twins.Casey Bell (Odette Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spiritual advisor, Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can make it stop.
With Sendak's help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany?a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born.

if one is expecting a film with a flimsy plot-line , almost non-existent supporting characters and stereotypical villains , but with no-holds-barred action, well, then that is what ones get with Taken . Just think of Liam Neeson's Bryan Mills as a combination of Jack Bauer ( Kiefer Sutherland ) , John McClane (Bruce Willis ) , Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) , Frank Martin(Jason Statham) ; he makes a decent action hero too . Mills is a dedicated father who'd go to any lengths to save his beloved daughter annoying Maggie Grace when she's kidnapped . So go ahead , suspend all disbelief , and go along for the ride as Mills breaks bones , shoots-'em-up, chases-'em-down and tortures the bad guys . Overall , its worhy !!
