  Weetzie's Rating My Rating
1
Pulp Fiction 1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction. I could talk about Q's work forever. Often the first thing people see is the violence. But I see so much more - brilliant stories, great humour, and spectacular dialogue. Pulp Fiction has all that, it's a cult. To me, this is the perfect movie.
2
Lost In Translation 2003,  R)
Lost In Translation
Lost in Translation might seem quite different than my other movie favorites. But it's really important film to me. I've felt so much watching it, I've learned so much, I've felt so related. It's about being lost, being alone, finding new world, finding somebody. I find Lost in Translation so moving, that sometimes I'm afraid to even watch it. This is beautiful, this is why I want to see Tokyo.
3
Kill Bill: Volume 1 2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
Some people say, that Kill Bill shows how Tarantino lost his talent. Well, this was first of his movies I saw, and I loved it. I still do, very much. It shocked me but I enjoyed and felt something exciting. Plot is simple, but oh how good it looks. Q's ode to his favorite movies and in the same time genius film.
4
Fight Club 1999,  R)
Fight Club
Awesome movie. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton both do unbelieveble acting. One of those movies which made my mind explode. Fight Club is fucking great.
5
I'm Not There 2007,  R)
I'm Not There
i had to write new review because this movie has given so much to me it's difficult to explain. i love it, to me it's brilliant. the idea is very fascinating and works, soundtrack is terrific and all the actors do good work. i have to mention cate blanchett makes the most amazing role work i've ever seen and i'm ready to marry her, anytime. no, actually i want to marry her. NOW. i can quote everything she says in this movie from rote memory.
i don't know what bob dylan thinks about this movie, but i think he might appreciate it. movie from one dylanist to another and kind-of-biopic, but still just wonderful movie which i think anybody could love.
todd haynes, it's official. i love you.
6
The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975,  R)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Strange? Maybe. Crazy? maybe. Fun? You bet. But also smart, sexy, groovy, cool and brilliant. And oh, what a great music! This movie is fantastic even after 30 years. And such a cult. Tim Curry's performance as Frank is something i can't describe with words. I've started to love rocky horror more and more, it's so many things.

No Direction Home: Bob Dylan
awesome and long documentary about legendary man of mysteries. maybe not for people who are not interested of bob dylan, but those who are, even slightest, i recommend. he's ultimately fascinating and scorcese really caught atmosphere of 60's and bob's earlier years. contrast between material of really young bob and bob of nowaday talking about his past is brilliant.
