Léon (The Professional)
Great Film!!
This star rating is for the theatical version, the international version was a little too awkward for my taste. The theatical version is a more focused - to the point - yet still preserving the soul of the movie - viewing experience.

The Matrix
Recently released on Blu-Ray!
Just another incentive to revisit this awesome classic!

"Work Sucks."

AWESOME, AWESOME Movie!!
I despised "Beavis & Butt-head" back in the day, however Mike Judge really shows off his comedic talent with this!!
(If that at all helps to show how much of surprise this film is...)
And Jennifer Aniston in a movie that doesn't suck the gunk out between your toes... Bonus!

CLASSIC Sam Raimi flick!!
The evil side of me just loves Ash and his misfortunes.

What a surpise thriller (with a cameo from Obi-wan)! The scene where she's running down the hallway to the elevator is classic. The main character Billy Hughes' sister and her boyfriend are funny and almost steal the show!

... a thanks goes out to the flixster team for finally adding this film to their database.

A terrific "who done it" flick & single-handedly brought back the slasher genre!
[...can't believe it's already 10 years old]
37
Dante's Peak 1997,  PG-13)
Dante's Peak
This movie still has some very impressive "how'd they do that" special-effects. Great mix of miniture and CGI.
38
The Frighteners 1996,  R)
The Frighteners
Great Peter Jackson flick! ...gotta love the movie art too, awesome cover!

53
Spider-Man 2002,  PG-13)
54
Spider-Man 3 2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
Dazzling!!
Sam Raimi once again proves he is the right (possible the only) person to direct the Spider-Man movies.
The only complaint, the movie trailers showed too much. Take for examples, when Harry Osborn becomes scarred and how Eddie Brock becomes Venom both plainly seen in the trailers. Both of which could have been nice plot points, now became expected and predictable.
None-the-less a great film from a great director based on a great character!!
Bring on Spider-Man 4!!
55
Disturbia 2007,  PG-13)
Disturbia
Bravo... Mr. Caruso... Bravo!!
A modern day Hitchcock-ish thriller that is delivered terrifically, from the whole cast chemistry to simply the sound effects.
This movie doesn't try to be more than what it is, it knows it's a PG-13 movie and is better for it.
Shia LaBeouf has arrived, and has proven to be leading actor and can hold a movie on his own.
This film is certainly a treat to watch, however not to say that it doesn't have it's faults, for example some of the characters make odd decisions as the movie plays out and the killer played by the wonderful David Morse is slightly cliched with his weapon of choice, the over-used "slasher" knife. Even with these minor complaints, this movie is packed with Style, simply just fun to watch and is much better than alot of current suspense thrillers.
One of the most memorable movie experiences of 2007, and probably one of my favorite modern thrillers period.
56
Running Scared 2005,  R)
57
Platoon 1986,  R)
58
Appurushîdo (Appleseed) 2004,  R)
Appurushîdo (Appleseed)
This movie was way beyond my expectations, it just rocks!! The english dub is great also!
59
Pan's Labyrinth 2006,  R)
Pan's Labyrinth
This movie is awe striking!!
I just finishing experiencing this film and all I can think as I write this is how much I want to watch it again.
Serious if you haven't seen this movie yet and can handle mature situations and violence, do yourself a personal favor - rent, buy, steal a copy of this work of art.
"Pan's Labyrinth" puts the fantasy world of "The Fountain" to shame.
60
Jersey Girl 2004,  PG-13)
Jersey Girl
I'm not a huge Ben Affleck fan, however I was pleasantly surprised to experience this honest and welcoming Kevin Smith film.
61
Accepted 2006,  PG-13)
Accepted
I'm not sure why exactly...but this little sleeper just ROCKS!!
Might just be one of my favorite comedies of all-time.
As classic as "Office Space" and "American Pie", but has it's own personality.
...Makes me want to be a S.H.I.T.head!!
62
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration) 2008,  R)
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration)
Solid effort by Capcom!
The animation is spectacular, however the acting is a little stiff here and there, yet never ruining the experience.
The only real complaint is the fact that this movie does require that the viewer has some knowledge of the Resident Evil universe to get the full impact and understanding of what exactly is outlined in the plot.
Non-the-less probably one of my new favorite movies.

DVD WORTHY:
Yes, if you like sci-fi/monster flicks.

BLU-RAY (Hi-Def) WORTHY:
MOST DEFINITELY!!
With Blu-ray this movie jumps out of the screen! This is THE way the experience this film!
