Inception 2010,  PG-13)
Inception
Excellent film. It's almost impossible for me to say bad things about it. I just love when you are at the edge of your seat during the whole movie. I also see that it's hard to fully understand the movie the first time you watch it, because Hollywood is used to make brainless explosion silly movies. But is that difference that makes it better. Anyways the acting, the script, the visuals, the twists, and the score played together perfectly to give us this masterpiece.
2
The Matrix 1999,  R)
3
Marvel's The Avengers 2012,  PG-13)
Marvel's The Avengers
All your anticipation will be rewarded. Everything worked perfectly, every character, every line, it was all worth it. There was even a good timing for some comic relief. Tony Stark is a scene stealer every time, yet the movie had a good balance between every character and just seeing them interact was really entertaining. The visual effects and action sequences are from the best I've seen and Hulk was actually way cooler than I expected him to be. What else can I say? Go check it out for yourself!
4
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
The journey continues and the story gets more interesting and thrilling as the characters progress in their adventure. The soundtrack and the visuals stood up again, the action scenes are bigger and we get introduced to Gollum thanks to the great performance of Andy Serkis.
This time the fellowship is divided in three parts and director Peter Jackson did a good job with each group, giving them the right amount of screen time and making us feel connected to them. Captivating from beginning to end, this a fulfilling follow up that is just as good if not better than the first.
5
The Dark Knight 2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
Finally got the chance to watch it. And yes its like everybody says an awesome movie and the best super hero movie ever. Heath Ledger's Joker steals your attention more than Batman himself, one of the best villains of all time. I wasn't expecting Two-Face here and was also satisfying. There`s one point at the movie when you are the edge of your seat just watching how all turns out. Good acting, good script and one of my favourite movies.
6
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
An epic and touching adventure that stands out from other fantasy movies. Great characters, inspiring script, perfect soundtrack and outstanding visual effects. Only Peter Jackson can give us a 3 hour film (Extended Version) that still leaves us wanting more. The start of a franchise you won't forget.
7
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World 2010,  PG-13)
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
This is one goes to my favorite movies. First, the visual effects and the editing are AMAZINGLY DONE. They captured the escence of a comic and a videogame together. The cast was perfect, even Michael Cera, who I normally don't like. Also, I haven't laughed so hard with a movie in a very long time. Because it has a no sense humor that I'm really into. There are a lot of things to say, but it's an undescriptable film that you just got to see for yourself. If you enjoy videogames, this is your fanboy fantasy. In one word EPIC
8
Fight Club 1999,  R)
Fight Club
With the great performances from Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. It deals with a complex character and a great devolopment to it. The story is always interesting, cleverly narrated and has one of the best endings I've seen, which completely changes the way you see the film. A must see spectacular and original movie
9
Shutter Island 2010,  R)
Shutter Island
It's different than your average movie, and that's what makes it so good. The cinematography, the music and the cast were excellent. You really get into the character and all the mistery of the island. Even being more dialogue than action I wasn't bored. And I just gotta say that the twist at the end was brilliant. Don't wanna give spoilers just go watch it, it's the best movie you could find right now.
10
District 9 2009,  R)
11
The Bourne Ultimatum 2007,  PG-13)
The Bourne Ultimatum
One of the best action movies in the history
12
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 2011,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2
Well, well,,,everything must come to an end. And I'm glad it was one hell of a ride. This last film is the best one in the series, full of emotion until the final battle. The acting was great, and this time around is all about Harry and Voldemort. Visually stunning and action packed, this is the perfect and nostalgic finale of the beloved series.
13
Iron Man 2 2010,  PG-13)
Iron Man 2
Better than the first. Great script, acting, visuals. It's just too good, full of entretainment and some hilarious moments. Also liked the references to the upcoming Avengers, hot Scarlett Johansson...and so on. In conclussion a must see movie, the best way to start summer and Iron Man already beat Spider-man as the best Marvel superhero.
14
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
A good adventure with Johnny Depp doing again a good character as Jack Sparrow. It was interesting, unpredictable, good effects and the style of Jack
15
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End 2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
A great end to the trilogy. Great visual effects as the last two and the plot gets a little more complicated, in a good way. This one has more drama and altough I thought that the scenaries were not that diverse, the action was still amazing. Well overall a very entretaining and satisfying film
16
Limitless 2011,  PG-13)
Limitless
The biggest surprise of the year, so far. Limitless is a clever and interesting thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seat. Bradley Cooper was really good as this character, and the whole plot was well developed with a great script. This is one of those movies that you keep thinking about. Highly recommended.
17
Iron Man 2008,  PG-13)
18
Thor 2011,  PG-13)
Thor
I can't believe they made me buy that Thor, this mythological god lives in the same world as Iron Man. But they did a great job for this movie to fit in. The special effects are amazing, the movie starts a like it's gonna be a typical action movie but then turns out to be pretty badass and ocassionally funny too. The cast was perfect in my opinion. And it's an entertaining movie and the perfect summer starter. Can't wait for The Avengers
19
The Bourne Supremacy 2004,  PG-13)
20
Cloverfield 2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield
I think it's the best movie of this type. The effects of the camera are realistic, and it works for the thrills until the end.
Anyways is now one of my fav movies.
21
Spider-Man 3 2007,  PG-13)
22
Avatar 2009,  PG-13)
Avatar
A great movie with the best use of 3D so far. It really introduces you in the movie.

By it self has a good story and happens in an amazing world created by James Cameron.

Interesting, entretaining and you don't feel like the movie is that long. Just a little overrated
23
Spider-Man 2 2004,  PG-13)
24
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 2003,  PG-13)
25
The Bourne Identity 2002,  PG-13)
26
X-Men: First Class 2011,  PG-13)
X-Men: First Class
The finest X-Men movie to date. It's smarter, more thrilling and exciting. The cast was perfect. There's more chemestry and connection between the characters. Which made you care more about them. And I really enjoy the style of director Matthew Vaughn, who proved to be good after Kick-Ass. Proving that you don't need Wolverine to have an amazing X-Men film. He has a pretty short and funny cameo though.
27
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011,  PG-13)
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
One really, really great prequel. I haven't seen the originals, but I need to right now. This movie works really good, capturing the apes like never before. The CGI looked nice and every expression was perfect, you actually get to feel their emotions. The movie also had a good storyline, great character development and a pretty cool climax at the end. If you're looking for a clever sci-fi or action film, this is a must see.
28
Fast Five 2011,  PG-13)
Fast Five
This could easily be the best guy flick of all time. The setting and the cast is great, we get to see a lot of familiar faces return and the action and adrenalyne feeling is so good it's ridiculous. It's also funnier and I liked the change from street racing to heists. Anyways the best one so far, this is a must see with a lot of friends and I'm patiently waiting the sixth installment.

PS: There's a scene after the credits don't you dare to miss that
29
The Truman Show 1998,  PG)
The Truman Show
I'm speechless. The premise and the execution of it are spectacular. Jim Carrey proves us that he can be one hell of an actor and the soundtrack is brilliant as well. In conclusion this is a must-see smart and unique masterpiece.
30
The Social Network 2010,  PG-13)
The Social Network
Really good thanks to a brilliant script, great acting and a nice score. It keeps you entertained and really interested in the whole situation. It's smart, and highly recommendable, whether you use facebook or not. So, It's not an advertising movie it's a well done film in it's own right.

Captain America: The First Avenger 2011,  PG-13)
Captain America: The First Avenger
Marvel you don't stop to amaze me. It has a great story and script that was adapted perfectly to it's period setting. There are some good performances here, and every one proved to be there for the right reasons. I just love how all this films are like a big puzzle and are all connected to each other, when all of them are equally good. I really liked the ending too, and stay for the credits you don't wanna miss the teaser for The Avengers.
44
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 2011,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Johnny Depp is back as captain Jack Sparrow, and he's charm and charisma are still there after four movies. In this new adventure they're looking for the Fountain of Youth. And it' a great journey where we find some new characters. Penelope Cruz was good in her role, she has good chemestry with Depp. Blackbeard was a badass. And I liked the action scenes with the mermaids, they looked great. Is the come back worth it? I'll say yes, and I would like to see the new trilogy.
45
Jurassic Park 1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
An unforgettable classic. Good cast, great soundtrack and special effects. Spielberg made an adventurous and suspensful film that stood out in his time and is still amazing.
46
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 2010,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1
The darkest entry yet. I liked the visual effects and the amazing art direction and cinematography. Plus the acting has improved. The penultimate film is also one of the best, with lots of action, suspense, and even some horror elements that keep your attention until the end, which leaves you wanting to see part 2 even more. So it's a high recommended film for Potter fans and fans of good movies in general.
47
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 2010,  PG-13)
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Probably the best videogame adaptation ever. With an entretaining plot, good effects and overall good action and even some laughs, Prince of Persia is a great movie that actually surpassed my expectations. I liked the chemestry of the leads and the fact that the movie wasn't predictable at all. The whole back in time thing was also good. Maybe the only "too much" things were the exaggerated stunts, but considering its based on a game, that makes it faithful, I guess. Anyways good option to see on theaters and I hope it's the start of a new saga ala Pirates of the Caribbean.
48
King Kong 2005,  PG-13)
49
Star Trek 2009,  PG-13)
Star Trek
I went to the cinema without knowing anything of Star Trek. And it was completly amazing!!! The special effects, the story, the dialogue were incredible. It's a smart thrilling science fiction adventure that you need to see.

51
Quantum of Solace 2008,  PG-13)
52
Transformers 2007,  PG-13)
53
Kick-Ass 2010,  R)
Kick-Ass
One of the most surprsingly good movies I've ever seen. Packed with violence and some comedy, works perfectly as the kind of movie it is. The cast, the soundtrack, there was not a single moment where I was bored. Even with the ridiculous costumes you care about the characters as much or more than a Marvel or DC superhero. In resume just BADASS. And Lyndsy Fonseca is f***ing HOT
54
The Hangover 2009,  R)
The Hangover
Best comedy of the year.
Worth seeing with your friends and I guarantee you'll laugh
55
Tron Legacy 2010,  PG)
Tron Legacy
This is one of that movies that you remember for years and years. Amazing special effects, good performances and great soundtrack by Daft Punk. The 3D is good to get you more into the story and this fantastic world. A must watch for fans of the original movie and sci-fi films, and a great way to end the year.
56
Terminator Salvation 2009,  PG-13)
57
A Scanner Darkly 2006,  R)
A Scanner Darkly
A clever script, good performances and a unique visual style. The story is complicated, but really interesting. This is a different kind of movie from what we are used to, and maybe that's one of the reasons of why I liked it so much.
58
Clash of the Titans 2010,  PG-13)
Clash of the Titans
Great movie. Simple plot, but well done that made it so enyojable. First it's visually stunning, altough a lot of it is CGI. Then we got the action that's also pretty cool. I think it's a must see in theaters (Not sure if 3-D will make it even better) Well, I like greek mythology so this was obviously a must see for me.
59
Kill Bill: Volume 1 2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
It's impressive how a straigth forward story managed to be so captivating. The movie is violent and extremely bloody but still visually great. It also had one of the best fight sequences I've seen and an amazing soundtrack to fit every moment. A badass action movie about revenge that stands out of others.
60
Chronicle 2012,  PG-13)
Chronicle
This is an outstanding movie. And surprisingly the found footage style was really effective. It's fun, with likeable characters and you get to connect with them, that's why the unexpected events that follow give it a tone of emotion and tension. Really cool film with a great story that feels realistic despite having characters with super powers.
61
The A-Team 2010,  PG-13)
The A-Team
One of the best TV adaptation movies I've seen. The main cast it's perfect, specially Sharlto Copley who is brilliant as Murdock. The action is really great, thrilling and well developed. I've loved the series as a kid, and this movie manages to bring an ideal modern version. So it's a highly recommended movie if you're into action flicks.

Bruce Almighty 2003,  PG-13)
64
Click 2006,  PG-13)
65
Horrible Bosses 2011,  R)
Horrible Bosses
This year's Hangover. The characters, the situations and the script work really good for this laugh out loud comedy. This one is full of jokes, so pay attention or you could miss a couple. Haven't laughed like this in a while.
66
Yes Man 2008,  PG-13)
Yes Man
Another great comedy of the funniest actor.
67
Tropic Thunder 2008,  R)
68
Howl's Moving Castle 2005,  PG)
Howl's Moving Castle
Visually spectacular and beatifully artistic. This imaginative tale even surpasses Spirited Away to my surprise. Hayao Miyazaki has a stylish and unique way to show his vision, and his characters are amazing and really deep. The story is not that easy to follow, but trust me, you'll just let yourself go with it.
69
Toy Story 3 2010,  G)
Toy Story 3
Amazing return from the toys giving memories back, great since the begining to the ending credits. It's one of Pixar's best, there's good plot, humor, emotion, excitement. It got it all.
Such a lovable and enyojable movie, and could easily be the best Toy Story yet.
Also extra points for the short Day and Night
70
Up 2009,  PG)
Up
I liked it!
It was fun, cute and interesting. Another Pixar memorable movie
71
Coraline 2009,  PG)
Coraline
A beautiful movie in its own dark way. Has a good storyline with some weird or creepy characters on it that fit perfectly. The music follows well the movie and has the best balance of dark in a kids movie that I've ever seen. Entretaining for kids and adults
72
Shrek 2001,  PG)
73
Shrek Forever After (Shrek 4) 2010,  PG)
Shrek Forever After (Shrek 4)
The final chapter of the Shrek franchise had everything it needed. Better animation, fun story, and good ending. One of the things I liked the most was that they return to places like the dragon tower. There were also a couple of new characters and the movie was like rediscovering the story again. Also they did a good work with the collage at the ending credits with a little bit of every Shrek movie. So this is probably my favorite of the sequels. Funtastic!
74
Rango 2011,  PG)
Rango
Hilarious, great looking, and with some action. No, I'm not describing myself, this is exactly what Rango delivers. The movie has a pretty cool character design that makes it unique, and it's probably even more fun to adults than kids. This animated western is an instant classic.
75
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) 2009,  PG)
76
Ice Age 2002,  PG)
77
How to Train Your Dragon 2010,  PG)
How to Train Your Dragon
I loved this movie. It had a great plot for an animated movie, also good action and visuals. There were also some little details that made the movie so likeable and original. One of the best from Dreamworks actually.
78
Spirited Away 2001,  PG)
Spirited Away
A truly imaginative and impressive looking movie. A lot of details on the characters (cute ones, scary ones) and the story. Also the score is perfect to follow the story. All that makes it recommendable for those who are looking for an animated movie that's not too Disney.
79
The Incredibles 2004,  PG)
80
Puss in Boots 2011,  PG)
Puss in Boots
One of our favorite animated characters is back with his own movie. It's entertaining, visually stunning, funny and charming with a well made latin vibe. It is at the same level of other Shrek movies, but has a different style. so I think it can stand by it's own.
81
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2009,  PG)
82
Hercules 1997,  G)
83
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit 2005,  G)
84
Shrek 2 2004,  PG)
85
Cars 2 2011,  G)
Cars 2
The sequel improves a lot over the first. Tons of action and beautiful scenery from all around the world, along with an exciting spy story. And while Mater isn't exactly my favorite character, they made the movie really entertaining and fun to watch. Good for kids and adults. Its' Pixar, enough said.
86
Fantastic Mr. Fox 2009,  PG)
Fantastic Mr. Fox
First I'd like to start saying that I've read the book back when I was a kid, so I was excited to see they were making this movie. I think they made a good decision by making it stop motion. It had that old school feeling that I really liked. The script was great and the voice cast worked perfect. Started a little slow, but as it progressed with a sarcastic humor and original storytelling, got more entertaining. I really enjoyed what they did here but maybe not everyone will understand it. Recommendable for fans of the book and stop motion animation.
HIGH 7/10
87
Ace Ventura - When Nature Calls 1995,  PG-13)
Ace Ventura - When Nature Calls
Keeps the charm of the original and it's a lot of fun as well. Now in an exotic location Ace must find a bat that will save two tribes from a war. With a lot of WTF moments, this is obviously not a movie for all tastes. But if you liked the first one, you don't wanna miss this.
HIGH 7/10
88
Liar Liar 1997,  PG-13)
89
Rush Hour 1998,  PG-13)
