Anne of Green Gables - The Sequel (Anne of Avonlea)
Beautiful follow up to the original. It's great that they got the whole cast back.
2
Top Secret! 1984,  PG)
Top Secret!
Let's face it, it's a spoof movie. The acting is aweful, but I love Val Kilmer and if nothing else, you should watch the cow scene just for a giggle.
3
Blood Diamond 2006,  R)
Blood Diamond
Amazing movie. Really opened my eyes to the diamond trade over in Africa. Very political, but I loved it. Never a dull moment.
4
The Notebook 2004,  PG-13)
The Notebook
I picked the ending, but that's not unusual for me. Beautiful storyline, perfectly cast. Plus my mum loved it - and she is a tough critic!
5
The Outsiders 1983,  PG)
The Outsiders
One of the best movies and books ever!!
6
Gone With the Wind 1939,  G)
Gone With the Wind
They just don't make movies like this anymore. It's a classic
7
Queen of the Damned 2002,  R)
Queen of the Damned
Wish it stuck to the original storyline. They tried to cram two books into one, and didn't do Anne Rice's storytelling the justice it deserves. Still pretty good though.
8
Dirty Dancing 1987,  PG-13)
Dirty Dancing
Great movie, great soundtrack, great dancing...
9
Footloose 1984,  PG)
Footloose
Puts an interesting twist on playing 'chicken'.
10
Twilight 2008,  PG-13)
Twilight
I really really enjoyed this movie... Was totally unexpected for the way it panned out, but that's not a bad thing. A love story between a human and a vampire was not what I was expecting, but I was blown away with the storyline... The way the Cullen family grew to accept her, to protect her, the budding relationship between Edward and Bella.... I'm dying to get my hands on the books now. Will be interesting to get a better understanding of the back story, how the different clans developed etc...

Also, kick arse sound track.. Good to hear a bit of Muse and Linkin Park in there :)

Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story 2000,  Unrated)
Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story
Fantastic 3rd installment in the Anne series. Is completely different to the original as told by LM Montgomery, but suprisingly, I loved it. Great to see Cameron Daddo included in the cast tool
12
The Crow 1994,  R)
The Crow
Brandon Lee would have been proud of this film and it is such a shame that he is not around anymore, because this would have catapaulted his career forward. Awesome soundtrack too.
13
Interview with the Vampire 1994,  R)
Interview with the Vampire
Wasn't bad, certainly not Tom Cruise's best effort, fantasitic acting for a very young Kirstin Dunst. Stayed true to the book, which was good.
14
The Mummy 1999,  PG-13)
The Mummy
Loved it. Brendan Fraser cracks me up. And it's not even a comedy.
15
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi 1983,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

16
Field of Dreams 1989,  PG)
Field of Dreams
"If you build it, they will come"
I love the fact that (even though it's fiction) he had the guts to carry through with his dreams. This is a great movie.
17
Anne of Green Gables 1985,  G)
Anne of Green Gables
My favourite childhood books and from the time this was released, it has always and will always be favourite 'chick flick'. Great acting, awesome scenery.
18
The Illusionist 2006,  PG-13)
The Illusionist
OMG!!! WOW.... This movie was completely and utterly amazing. This is so going into my favourite movie list... All the actors put in a stellar performance and Edward Norton WAS the perfect illusionist.
Oh - and wait til the ending.... You think you have it all worked out and then bam - HUGE twist at the end that really makes you think!
