"This ain't your night!! My night" This is my night.. my night for a great movie.. I can't help myself shaking and shivering. What a performance!! Marlon Brando was God on the waterfront.. his character was really deep and classic. I can say i've never seen such a performance like this in my whole life.. where was i?? where?? why i didn't pick this incredible movie up and washed some so-so trash out of my brain!! I'm the fan of Raging Bull.. and i can see connectin' between Robert De Niro in "Raging Bull" and Terry Mulloy in "On The Waterfront".. The way they acted the way they talk the way even they moved their mouths.. it's creative and epic acting!! |

Underated movie from Roman Polanski! it's not ghost, it's evil !! i love how Sven Nykvist created at the beginning of the movie that formed the dismal atmosphere i never feel before.. and also his high contrast, low-key lightin'. Roman was an actor himself and he did it great. Almost everybody prefer Rosemary's Baby.. but i love The Tenant ;) |

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 1966, R)
Four people in a house.. expressing their pain and weakness little by little to the great confrontation. I think this is one of the best acting EVER in world cinema.. Mike Nichol presented it like a play.. to communicate the truth and emotion, he used long take instead of Close up shot! and it's really work!! Movie Contains lot of great dialogues that so clever and interestin'. I've heard about Richard Burton and Eliz Taylor since i was young. Now i can understand why they're so famous!! I love them at the first time in this movie!! Great work by Mike Nichols.. you never let me down! |

"Haunting, Creative, Brave and Crazy!!" Not many directors could bring this piece of art into Cinema! Satire of all new human technologies.. like computer, beauty surgery, government system and of cause The cold, indifferent of capitalsm human nowaday.. Great Creative of Dark City.. full of crazy people. The story is real interestin' for my anti-captalism thought. All the charactors are charming in their ways! Unforgettable vision!! with great crazy innovated technology. |

Pan's Labyrinth 2006, R)
The Sad wonderful score still in my head. With dark mysterious dreamy, Reality and dream mixed together hard to separate. Sometimes it's hard to tell that the world we live in is reality or imagination. It's between What we think and what it be.. when desire strong enough.. Imagination will take over the truth!! Classic theme of world cinema.. what we want versus what we be. I love it. |
|
| 106 |
Sex and Lucia (Lucía y el sexo) 2001, R) |
|
| 107 |
A Prairie Home Companion 2006, PG-13)
Lovely.. Robert Altman always showed us how to direct Great characters in one movie.. and this is amazing.. better than Gosford Park. All the characters are Superb(except: Linsey Lohan)** The way he captured every frames, The great unity of camera movement and how they were edited together is so perfect.. High quality movie in years. I'm wondering why most of people in flixter don't quite like it.. I can tell you It's adorable!! I love how he presented live radio musician lifes.. many interesting aspects for me to absorb.. People always think of Altman as a old fashion director.. I was too.. But after today i will include him with all the most progressive and independent directors of all time!! I thought of "Goodbye Dragon Inn" or "Radio Days" Passion of Generations.. It's charming.. eventhrough one day there were changes.. They will stay in our hearts forever.. our hearts that the word "generation" is meaningless..... |

The Deer Hunter 1978, R)
Russian roulette.. Pain i never forget!! Generally the movie is quite slow that can made most of people feels boring sometimes. But for me i think the speed of this movie brings so many good things like Relationship, characters' details and being gently peace of what we call HOME.. De Niro and Walken did it great!! I worship the scene when Stan pointed gun at his friend in the cottage and Michael came in then tought him something about pointin' gun at people's faces(he called it "Game").. that's damn good and also the russian roulette scenes between De Niro and Walken!! I watched this movie 7 years ago and just watched it again tonight.. I found myself in love with peace and friendship of it.. Good movie to watch at least once in a lifetime. |
