Taxi Driver
'Loneliness has followed me my whole life, everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape. I'm God's lonely man.'

My All time favorite movie ever!! I love Paul Schrader's screenplay.. the wit dialogue, creative situation. It's fresh and modern and old school believe in the same time.. "I'm a god's lonely man.." that's one of my favorite quote. De niro was really great and so was Harvey Keitel. i watched it for over 20 times.. in everytime i love it more and more.

Bernard Hermann's Score was incredibly fit with the story and De Niro's Charactor!! The style scorsese did in this movie is the best directing work of him. Containing interesting subjects that's so original and breakthrough.. One of the Sweetest, Most Inspiring and charming films of all time#

Indifferent, loneliness in nowaday soceity is for us to bear.. someday we're gonna get organizized..

like "the tree in the cold winter night.." that's what i think about this movie..Cozy and Warm.. Kim Ki-Duk distincted his work from other.. fresh new feelin' far away from "Bad Guy" or "Spring, summer, fall, winter and spring" this might be my most favorite of Kim's Films

Camera Buff 1979,  R)
Camera Buff
Great Piece of Art!! so naive, sincere and wonderful.. Symbolics.. Metaphorsis.. How could a director to tell the story no one ever told before, in the simply style you never wish to see.. Great story teller.. I love the friend's mother part.. The Dwarf part.. ohh!! every parts of the movie!!

One of the best movie about movie making, about telling story, peace & activism and.. right or wrong!! Everybody knows Blue, White and Red.. But no one ever talk about "Camera Buff".. It's maybe the first Movie of Kieslowski that made him well known in world of cinema before "Decalogue". Really sorry that this film was under-rated!!

This is sure be My personal favorite!!

PS. Anybody help!! can anybody send flixster the "Camera Buff" poster or something to be the cover for this great movie!!

Underground 1995,  Unrated)
Underground
"One of the Great Films of The Decade!!" my friend always talked to me about Emir Kustorica.. Now i know, He's a Movie Genius!! This is my first film of Kusturica.. It kills me for christsake!! I've never expected i'll find a masterpiece like this.. "Original, Clever, Beautiful, Crazy, Wonderful and Sharp like a knife!!" All the charactor were so deep, fuckin' charming and lord knows they're really beloved.. I fell in love with it since the first 15 minutes of the movie!!

From the opening to the end.. is full of intelligent scenes.. all the scenes were so interestin' and charming.. with mad & charming charactors and situation. This is one of the movies i dream to make.. if i were a film director!! I thought of Guiseppe Tornatore while i watched it.. by Let us go deep in life of a social.. Moral and norms of Them.. How they live their life.. It's perfectly charming!!

Epic!! Morality flys high!! Hospitality rides in the air!! Beautiful.. Beautiful.. I cried.. The charactors like Blacky, Marko, Natalia, Jovan.. and many many even Sony(A monkey) will be in my heart forever.. This could be one of the most charming movie with most Charming charactors in the world!!

The Story is perfect, clever and sharp.. filled with madness and insanity!! One of the best war satire films. The Black comedy of the century.. Classic like "Dr. Strangelove.." Kusturica is a god of film makers.. I'll continue with "Life is a Miracle" very very soon!! Love your work, Emir!!

So long, Yugoslavia...!!

On the Waterfront 1954,  Unrated)
On the Waterfront
"This ain't your night!! My night" This is my night.. my night for a great movie.. I can't help myself shaking and shivering. What a performance!! Marlon Brando was God on the waterfront.. his character was really deep and classic. I can say i've never seen such a performance like this in my whole life.. where was i?? where?? why i didn't pick this incredible movie up and washed some so-so trash out of my brain!! I'm the fan of Raging Bull.. and i can see connectin' between Robert De Niro in "Raging Bull" and Terry Mulloy in "On The Waterfront".. The way they acted the way they talk the way even they moved their mouths.. it's creative and epic acting!!

The Story is interestin'!! Moral test.. do the right thing or ignore it.. so up to date content in this material world! i don't care some of the people and critic said that.. On the waterfront was something Elia Kazan created it to be the excuse about political problems in that time.. but i really don't care!! Who care if i don't fuck my wife for years to create such piece of Art!! forget about it.. what i'm trying to say is don't ever connect this movie with some point that doesn't effect art creating!! It's nothing to do with that!!

The Scene in the car between Terry and Charley.. is breathtaking'.. classic dialogue.. super performance.. great score from Bernstein.. i can say this is one of the most powerful scenes and most powerful dialogues in my life.. "You don't understand! I could have had class! I could have been a contender. I could have been somebody..!!" Terry explored his anger and inner need in great way.. the way Marlon Brando talk is outstanding and unique! he acted with his eyes his mouth his voice.. God i love him!! This movie wouldn't be this great without him.. The Most powerful acting ever. and lot of great scenes.. like Father Barry Statement in the front of workers!! The scene Terry carried a gun to Johnny Friendly's Bar!! and the last confrontation at the endin' scene!!

Lord, it's Great to watch it.. superb experience of cinema!! All time favorite ....Salute Marlon Brando & Elia Kazan!!

Zelig
One of the most intelligent and interesting movie of Woody Allen.. strong sarcastic content mixed with Allen's funny emotion --> hurt soceity the most.. i believe that.. sarcastic comedy is more powerful to look down on and convince social fools.. Who's Camus, Anyway? (Kamyu nante shiranai)
No wonder why Japan is one of the greatest movie makers for almost a century!! I almost lost the word.. SUPERB**

"Simply Wonderful, Originally creative, Questionable, Psychological Tester, A Real Piece of Art!!" Mitsuo Yanagimachi is a great storytelling.. with brilliant Story.. the way he presented it.. The Cast is perfect!! all charactors are interestin'.. I could touch every single word they said or acted.. I can say That's a great way of directing.. How can you present a charactor in a mood!! And Yes i love Albert Camus' works, specially "L'Etranger" which amatuer movie makers in this movie used as a main story of their movie.. I picked it from the shelf in the indy DVD store cause of that!! But i never ever think i'll find an Unknown Masterpiece!!

Every parts of the movie contains Realistic atmosphere. So it's tense and real. Like a documentary. And the ending is so clever in extreme way! And it is a question for anyone to answer....

I can see there's none of my friend here watched it.. I insist this is the must see for Everyone who's eager for something new.. something interestin'.. something creative.. even something insane..

PS. Please anybody.. i can't upload picture to this great movie.. Could you give me a hand about that?? Thanks anyway

How long for a man to understand life.. through good and bad.. Cold and warm.. Kim Ki-Duk understands it!! in every movies of him, we'll always learn something new about life. He showed us dark and bright sides beautifully than any one did.. I have a korean friend, he told me that in Korea Kim Ki-Duk isn't quite popular.. i don't understand that cause in my opinion He's one of the best asian directors who represent Asian thought and philosophy through the world.. I love his work and i can say he's my best director!! and his thoughts co-ordinate with mine!!

Salute!! My dear, Mr.Kim

The Tenant 1976,  R)
The Tenant
Underated movie from Roman Polanski! it's not ghost, it's evil !! i love how Sven Nykvist created at the beginning of the movie that formed the dismal atmosphere i never feel before.. and also his high contrast, low-key lightin'. Roman was an actor himself and he did it great. Almost everybody prefer Rosemary's Baby.. but i love The Tenant ;)

Children of Men 2006,  R)
Children of Men
Great piece among epic war of men!! I love it more than i can explain. What a Story. And what made it so special is How Alfonso Cuaron made it..

This is the best in years of cinema.. How could they create this masterpiece! I couldn't imagine of this such great movie in the world. Longest take of handheld camera shot i never dreamed of.. longer than any of us can imagine. I work in movie production and know how to create long take matters but not this long and not this great.. how can Lubezki shot from buildin' to the streets of war and rally then into another big fucking building that was attacking with guns and tanks.. smoke and extras in everywhere added by bullets effect all over the place.. I didn't ever blink while i watched!! Extreme Long take shots took me into the movie. Let me be the witness of all incident. Alfonso Cuaron took me into his world.. filled with dark green and shadow that is Full of sadness and beauty.

Being Hornest, I don't fuckin' care how you all think about this movie.. How much star you gave for it.. To me This is a real piece of art and ambition.. I love it! Even now..My heart is still beatin' like a drums!!

PS. I love the Maximize size of Picasso's work in the Dinning room.. and for all Pink Floyd fan in this scene we'll find Pig Balloon of Roger Waters out side the window.. over the factory!!

PS.2 Thanks Cuaron with ending credit music! in "Y tu mama tambien" you used the masterpiece of Zappa.. and in "Children of Men" you used the masterpiece of King Crimson.. love your taste#

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Four people in a house.. expressing their pain and weakness little by little to the great confrontation. I think this is one of the best acting EVER in world cinema.. Mike Nichol presented it like a play.. to communicate the truth and emotion, he used long take instead of Close up shot! and it's really work!! Movie Contains lot of great dialogues that so clever and interestin'. I've heard about Richard Burton and Eliz Taylor since i was young. Now i can understand why they're so famous!! I love them at the first time in this movie!! Great work by Mike Nichols.. you never let me down!

"Haunting, Creative, Brave and Crazy!!" Not many directors could bring this piece of art into Cinema! Satire of all new human technologies.. like computer, beauty surgery, government system and of cause The cold, indifferent of capitalsm human nowaday.. Great Creative of Dark City.. full of crazy people. The story is real interestin' for my anti-captalism thought. All the charactors are charming in their ways! Unforgettable vision!! with great crazy innovated technology.

I love that 2 men from central service.. who gave Jonathan Pryce and me hard time about fixing air conditioner!! so crazy!! Ian Holm, Katherine Helmond, Robert De Niro, Jonathan Pryce, Bob Hoskins were all great!! I also love the dinner scene that all the menu were called in Number. So huantin' and then when the food came.. oh shit!! this is the real creative to do for Satire!!

It's a Real Adventure, Full of Fun and Real brain food.. for all of us, the 21st century people. This's one of the best movie from '80!! I'll try find "Time Bandits" and "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen".. another 2 of trilogy about Imagination versus Reality by Terry Gilliam!! During this time.. this is his masterpiece for me.. and it's a masterpiece of cinema world!!

Salute!!!!!! BraziL!!

PS. After 2 hours long of this adventure.. i want to see natural things badly.. Where are trees?? Where are rivers?? Hill?? You know, I believe that.. this is what Terry Gilliam wanted me to think!!! WOWW!!

Best of John Woo!! Fun, CooL.. High Historical Importance!!

I've always wanted to watch this for years.. i love Woo's Hong Kong works. specially "A Better Tomorrow" & "Hard Boiled"

Never seen Woo style this wonderful.. charming.. I love "A Better Tomorrow" but this is The real original of Woo's style.. I can touch in every minute of the movie. I feel a bit "Le Samourai (Melville)" in it. Chow Yan Fat is cool as usual. The cameramovement is so charming and so Wooooo ;) and sure Woo didn't forget about Affection, Friendship and Gun philosophy..

Real classic of Woo, one of the greatest Hongkong Directors!!

Pan's Labyrinth
The Sad wonderful score still in my head. With dark mysterious dreamy, Reality and dream mixed together hard to separate. Sometimes it's hard to tell that the world we live in is reality or imagination. It's between What we think and what it be.. when desire strong enough.. Imagination will take over the truth!! Classic theme of world cinema.. what we want versus what we be. I love it.

Sergi Lopez is great, his character is disgustin' but cool in the very same time.. The story is simple but interestin'. Time and situation is a bit questionable.. eventhrough it's ok. For Cinematography it's not only about shot and cuttin'.. it's about lightin' (out door at night in the forrest.. tough work for cinema) and what they shoot.. There're lot of creative thing to shoot in this movie that's what i think.. all made it beautiful and epic.. dark tone in whole story.. great sound effect!! And for sure.. The creative monsters and sets.. Love the atmosphere of the movie.. specially in the palace of eyeless creature!!

Maybe the only reason i gave it 4 1/2 stars.. 'cause it some kida same old story.. Kid's fairy tale(even there're more serious and more violent).. and yesss.. the ending is quite easily predictable.. But for all many creative things and good ambition.. I love it!!

This is absolutely Master work by Guillermo del Toro!! Fun, beautiful and gloomy..one of the experience everybody should touch!

Lovely.. Robert Altman always showed us how to direct Great characters in one movie.. and this is amazing.. better than Gosford Park. All the characters are Superb(except: Linsey Lohan)** The way he captured every frames, The great unity of camera movement and how they were edited together is so perfect.. High quality movie in years. I'm wondering why most of people in flixter don't quite like it.. I can tell you It's adorable!! I love how he presented live radio musician lifes.. many interesting aspects for me to absorb.. People always think of Altman as a old fashion director.. I was too.. But after today i will include him with all the most progressive and independent directors of all time!! I thought of "Goodbye Dragon Inn" or "Radio Days" Passion of Generations.. It's charming.. eventhrough one day there were changes.. They will stay in our hearts forever.. our hearts that the word "generation" is meaningless.....

Wish you Rest in peace, one of the great directors.. you've just made a masterpiece movie.. the movie anybody will never forget!!

Cache (Hidden)
Michael Haneke is Michael Haneke.. As great as you are!! I love his every single work. Hidden.. what was hidden?? We all have any hidden things in our memories. Haneke said "Hey, take a look closely!!" Are We ignore or forget something.. everything is worth remember. Even some of them are tragic & painfuL This is one of his masterpiece!!

WARNING: Not read this if you haven't seen it..

The suicide scene is one of the most shocking scenes i've ever seen!! Always love his shocking frame... It's like a great stable long take frame in Benny's Video!! or sex scenes in The Piano Teacher!!

The Conclusion in The ending of the movie was left open!! But it wasn't that shock for people who already saw Benny's Video. Haneke did it superb in the ending scene.. if you didn't take a look closely.. you will not see what was hidden in it! Look around you.. some small details are what you need to know.

"Creative, cold, indifferent, raw, brave!!" there're cruel incidents in his movies.. But he made it all believable and interestin'. Like we look at a real life.. I'm waitin' for your new film, MichaeL!! My Fav Director#$#@

PS. 4/5 for Haneke.. is higher than other directors.. still full of fresh, creative and interestin' things.. I just believe he could create a real real masterpiece for himself one day!!!!! ;D

The Deer Hunter
Russian roulette.. Pain i never forget!! Generally the movie is quite slow that can made most of people feels boring sometimes. But for me i think the speed of this movie brings so many good things like Relationship, characters' details and being gently peace of what we call HOME.. De Niro and Walken did it great!! I worship the scene when Stan pointed gun at his friend in the cottage and Michael came in then tought him something about pointin' gun at people's faces(he called it "Game").. that's damn good and also the russian roulette scenes between De Niro and Walken!! I watched this movie 7 years ago and just watched it again tonight.. I found myself in love with peace and friendship of it.. Good movie to watch at least once in a lifetime.

Saluted Michael, Nicky!!

Manon des Sources (Manon of the Spring) (Jean de Florette II )
Great movie of morality!! The movie is Superb like the first part(Jean de Florette). Real masterpiece series from France!! Yves Montand is a wonderful character!!

Jean de Florette i feel like i'm a god watching thier life. But Manon of the spring is more obvious drama. invite you to be one of the villagers. Even i feel a little too much pressure sometime i still love this movie!! When good and bad collide, When the truth was reveal. The confrontations in the movie are so serious and beat my heart like a drum!!

This movie is not for anyone who haven't seen "Jean de Florette" you must see the first part before this movie. I cry for both parts..

One of the great movies i will never forget!!!
