Chances Are 1989, PG)
Chances are has got to be one of the best casting jobs ever for the rolls that were available. This movie also is just wild to watch repeatedly to see what you missed the last time you watched it. It is drama, comedy, romance, and all rolled into a script that is probably one of the best scripts of this type ever written. The script rivals Heaven Can Wait, the casting rivals that of Star Trek (Imagine if you will, William Shatner as Spock and you will understand the importance that I speak of in casting), and overall this movie is just simply a joy for the whole family to watch. It is by far my favorite movie ever, and it brings the story full-circle like has rarely been done before or since. |

A Knight's Tale 2001, PG-13)
This fantastic view of Chaucer's Cantabury tales meets Heavy metal magazine was thought to ruine films, until A Knight's Tale that is. The film makers delivered a classic with real power to our generation by incorporating the music in this way within such a powerfully dramatic storylines. I think Heath Ledger could spend his whole life trying to find another role as fitting for him as this lead role was. Everyone alive should see this film at least once, just to say they have seen it. |

Labyrinth 1986, PG)
This tale of a movie is whimsically wonderful and entertaining in any day. Again, the casting in this movie was key to how adorable it has become and was at its release. I find this to be one of Bowie's best roles in acting and who better than the beautiful and talented Connelly to play his opposition in this magical land...Amazing and a must see for everyone!!! |

Highlander 1986, R)
This movie is a true example of why some sequels should never be made. The series was better than most sequels of this classic film. The story was romantic and action packed. The characters were perfect. The acting was beyond award deserving by Lambert, Connery, and Brown as the Evil bad guy. This was an incredible film for it's time and most likely the best of that year all around if you judge special effects, acting, story, casting, and wardrobe. It is a wildly wonderful tale that will carry anyone through until the end credits if they have a heartbeat. |

What Women Want 2000, PG-13)
I think of all the roles and movies that Mel Gibson has done that this is one of the best and most fitting for him. The movie brought his personality out in a very beloved manner. It left me thinking Gene Kelly meets Dean Martin meets Danny Kaye, which is a huge compliment on my part. Some may call this a chick flick or a guys show, but it is really just a fine piece of artistry and humor. The cast in this movie was amazing and Mel Gibson's counterpart in this movie was Helen Hunt who I think was perfect for the role. This is a Definitive must see movie. |
