Excellent movie. Peter Jackson rules!
2
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Nobody could have done these movies like Peter Jackson! He stayed true to the book, yes with some changes, but nothing which changed the essence of the story. A fantastic movie.
3
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
This movie was just magical! The best of the 3 in my opinion. The score, the cinematography, the acting, the directing was all excellent! An really good adaptation of the book!
4
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2004,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
A very good attempt at adapting the book. However, I think the best director to date has been Chris Columbus.

X-Men 2000,  PG-13)
13
X-Men: The Last Stand 2006,  PG-13)
X-Men: The Last Stand
Nice movie. But I don't like how the character of the Phoenix was developed. They should have stayed true to the comic series.
14
Robin Hood: Men in Tights 1993,  PG-13)
15
The Phantom of the Opera 2005,  PG-13)
16
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
One of the best movies in the series. Great acting (Daniel was so cute!) and the director stayed true to the book (well, mostly).
17
The Matrix 1999,  R)
The Matrix
This is one of the best movies ever made. The sequels were crap, but this was spectacular! It really makes you think.
18
Cats: The Musical 1998,  G)
Cats: The Musical
Superb! A musical I can listen to and look at again and again!
19
The Sound of Music 1965,  G)
20
Spaceballs 1987,  PG)
Spaceballs
An absolute ton of laughs! If you are religious about Star Wars then don't look at this. It's a spoof of the entire trilogy that had me in stitches. Some of the best comic lines and definitely Mel Brooks best!!
21
The Fifth Element 1997,  PG-13)
The Fifth Element
Fantastic! One of my all time faves.
22
The Day After Tomorrow 2004,  PG-13)
The Day After Tomorrow
It would be interesting to find out what the scientific world thinks of this scenario.
23
Jurassic Park 1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
Excellent movie with fantastic GCI. Good story line (it IS based on a novel). Teaches us that we really ought not to play God.
24
300 2007,  R)
300
One of my all time faves with one of my favorite actors - Gerard Butler. If you read the history of Leonidas and the Spartans, these actors did them proud! The movie also stayed relatively true to the real story. Of course there were differences, but remember, it was a movie, not a documentary. Excellent movie!!
25
Willow 1988,  PG)
Willow
Definitely one of the best adventure movies ever! Interesting story line and I love anything with Val Kilmer :-)
26
Kate & Leopold 2001,  PG-13)
Kate & Leopold
This was one of the best romantic comedies. Hugh Jackman as Leopold epitomized the perfect gentleman.
27
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
There was so much expectation for ths film! Maybe that was the problem. However, considering all that transpires in thefinal book, in my opinion, many crucial bits of info were omitted from this movie.....
