My Favorite Movies

[EN] The film, for the very few that didn't know yet, tells the history of Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of the Halloween town, a place where are living all the monsters and where, year by year, prepares a show for the night of the deads and bring nigthmares to the sleeping children. But Jack is tired of all of this, he feels alone and bored, so he goes to the forest and finds some doors, one of them of Christmas Town.

Happy for his discovery, he brings it to his town and, with a rare plan,decides kidnapping Santa and take his place, always helped by Hallowen town, wichs citizens understand the Xmas on a way more different that Jack do it.

When I saw it the first time I was only teen years old and the movie trapped me. Not only me, mi little brother and sister too. The estetic of this "not-for-children-tale" created by Tim Burton, far away from scare, is lovely. The songs, the characters, the plot are charming and, up of all of this, it adore that poor and lonely Jack Skellington (Skeleton in Spanish xD, who lives trapped on a monotony he wanted to break, until he discover that he loves that he does (scare and frighten children) and that he is the best for do it.
An awesome marvel made cinema wich would be cruel not to recommend to everyone and, if the film never existed, someone would must to invented.

[Spanish]Cuando la ví por primera vez no tenía ni once años y me encantó. No solo a mí, a mis hermanos que son menores que yo también. La estética de este cuento no tan infantil creado por Tim Burton, lejos de aterrar, enamora. Gustan sus canciones, gustan sus personajes, gusta la trama y sobretodo, se adora a ese pobre e incomprendido Jack Skellington (o Skeleton en spanish xD) que vive atrapado en una monotonía que quiere romper, hasta que se da cuenta de que realmente le gusta lo que hace y es el mejor para hacerlo.

Una maravilla hecha cine que sería injusto no recomendarle a todo el mundo y que si jamás hubiera existido, alguien debería haberla creado.

Buena película, entretenida, con toques de humor y sobretodo, una buena historia que recuerda a aquellos relatos de princesas, piratas y brujas de cuando eramos más pequeños.

Con un reparto apenas conocido, con las excepciones de Michelle Pfeiffer como Bruja y Robert deNiro como el extravagante (por no decir otra cosa xD) Capitán Shakespeare, la historia trata sobre Tristán, un joven de 18 años, algo pringado, que está enamorado de la chica más guapa de pueblo, que por supuesto, pasa de él.

Tristán vive en una aldea en Inglaterra que está en el límite del muro, que lleva a Stormhold, el reino encantado donde todo es posible. Sin embargo, la entrada está prohibida y vigilada por un guardián.
En una cita de Tristán con Victoria, ven caer una estrella y Tristán se ofrece a ir a recogerla si ella promete esperar
le una semana y casarse con él en vez de con quien se va a casar.

A partir de aquí comienza la aventura, predecible por los trailers pero que no pienso destripar, ya que Tristán cruza el umbral hacia lo desconocido, hacia el Reino de Stormhold y las aventuras que en él transcurren son variadas para lo que dura la película, que no llega a 2 horas.

En resumen y definitiva, una película que, aunque con claros tintes infantiles, me encantó y me entretuvo, tanto por su historia como por lo variopinto de los personajes y del mundo. Una película que yo recomiendo a todos, porque además, es muy bonita y se ven pocas así
