I love this movie to death. Tragedy. Loss. Desolateness. Fear. Beauty. Freedom. Being sold and treated like property and then being forced to kill another human being. There's so many things I could say about this movie. Point is, I love it.
Beautiful movie, exploring the depths of love and difference. I think it is a basic principle that each of us wants to hold onto memories, because that is essential to our personality and life, and that's why when we're faced with the prospect of death or brain damage, we're afraid to lose those memories of people we love, of things we did, difficult times which made us stronger... It's kind of ironic that even when we know we need to let go of something, we resist it with every amount of strength possible, but I suppose if we didn't, we couldn't be human. ^_^
This movie just blew me away. The music, the style, the creativity, everything about it. It raises a lot of self-exploration questions regarding survival, instinct, strength, etc.
I loved loved loved this movie. The fact that it was low budget just made it more real, more beautifully relevant to the viewer. Some of the pieces gave me chills. There is something so inherently attractive about acoustic instruments and words from the heart that one can't help but give into the magic. I also love that the director chose people who were actual musicians. Much kudos to that. All in all, a cute but realistic movie of a man and a woman meeting through music in a time of transitioning love.
This movie was awesome. I loved how it jumped out of chronological order, and I really like the whole scene with the House of Blue Leaves. Gogo Yubari is my fave.
So many good messages in this movie touching upon environmental awareness, human connection, conformity, advertising, technology, obesity activeness, loneliness, motivation, and love. Pretty much many of the social issues we have in today's world. It was a very refreshing movie, beautiful story, and simple harp soundtrack which I personally took to. ^_^
I'd forgotten how terribly sad this movie is. I thought it would be childish when I was taking my little sister to see it, and yet I was the one that ended up crying. Heartfelt story of a beautiful friendship opening up new worlds.
Whatever. I don't care what you say about this movie, homophobes. It was actually a really good movie, gay or not. It's realistic, and I liked how they didn't use much music, so that when they did, it was heart-wrenching. Wonderfully done.
This movie blew my mind. No pun intended. I love love love it! It's so different, so refreshingly blunt and thought-provoking! The twists took the audience for a very unexpected but joyous ride. Nothing could ever be predicted, and I loved that.
I really liked this movie surprisingly. I think I'd like to get into the anime/manga of it too, because I can tell there is so much more depth to these two very different characters that couldn't possibly be captured in two short films. They did a very good job of it though. I love the the NanaxNana moments...So sweet! I can't wait to watch the sequel! Already it gives a lot of thought on finding love, selfishnesss vs. selflessness, and tolerances.
Amazing! I love you, Taylor, Claire, and Johnny Geare! You were so cute in this movie and made it even more meaningful! I can't wait to call you my nieces and nephew. (adorable rant ended) In other terms, this movie was great. I'm a little biased in that I love dream movies above anything else, but this was wonderful. I loved the suspense, the visual feast, and the imagination put forth into it. It was still not as good as Vanilla Sky for me, particularly because I wanted it to be a bit more confusing and not as easy to figure out, but regardless, it was still great. I hope that the dvd will be more extended so we can get a little more taste of the dream world they've created here.
