a very entertaining movie! never too kitschy... i am guilty in having consumed several disney productions in my childhood. this one reminds me of the same things. but this one is different to the normal love overloaded ones, they are build up with a funny kind of irony...

last time i've seen it on tv around midnight. now i found a better time and my dvd-player for watching it. perfect just perfect sci-fi as it should be. schaffner holds up a mirror for every racist, fundamentalist or gun nut in every time or country. a modern fable about science, evolution and religion told critically in a scifi movie. p.s. its hard to admit it (cause i am a burton fan), but this one is much better than the remake.
