Adapting the greatest comic book into the big screen is no easy task, especially when said book is disputably the master, Alan Moore's, greatest masterpiece. If nothing else, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it would be impossible to adapt this, but it was better than I expected. Watching it felt like watching the graphic novel come to life. This movie got some bad heat because a lot of so-called critics said it was too loyal to the original material and offered viewers nothing new. I say WTF is with these people! Stop looking for anything negative in everything. Of course, the movie wasn't entirely loyal to the book, they tweaked the ending just a bit and omitted some sub-plots. Overall, watching this film gave me chills about the reality of life and it will make you appreciate Mr. Moore's genius. |
