Outrage 2009,  R)
Outrage
Great documentary and a real eye opener on the very universal theme of hypocrisy and of living an authentic/unauthentic life. Applies equally well to both heterosexual and gay people.

La Moustache 2005,  Unrated)
La Moustache
Just as bizzare and true to life as I had hoped it to be. Shows in a great way how sanity is defined and maintained by our peers: take away this suport and you plunge even the strongest man into madness.
3
The Age of Stupid 2009,  Unrated)
The Age of Stupid
Not the worlds best documentary, but the message is good and probably did what it set out to do i.e. inspire me!
4
Pink Floyd - The Wall 1982,  R)
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Brilliant cinematography and what seems like screenplay. Great music and animations too!
5
A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash 2007,  Unrated)
A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash
What the fuck!?! I had no idea! How come on any given day you can pick up a newspaper and there's loads of articles about global warming, but there's hardly a word mentioned about oil running out? I mean global warming is a nasty thing, but isn't the energy crisis we're going into now going to have far worse consequences much sooner for civilisations everywhere?

District 9 2009,  R)
District 9
Whoa!? Never seen anything like this before! Absolutely brilliant brew of scifiactionsplattermocudrama with a deeply humanitarian twist.
7
Cashback 2006,  R)
Cashback
An avid dreamer myself with reoccuring insomnia and love-life problems, I was easily able to relate to the main character. The sequences of slowed down/paused time are cool too.

I Heart Huckabees 2004,  R)
I Heart Huckabees
I actually saw this film some years back before I even knew I had an existential crisis of my own, so now that I've realized I'm having one I had to watch it again and I still love it. Yes indeed! Looks very familiar! Lovely script and pretty much all the actors are brilliant.

Question humaine, La, (Heartbeat Detector) 2007,  Unrated)
Question humaine, La, (Heartbeat Detector)
It probably took me a day and a half to work out what this film was all about (almost too subtle for me?), but when I did I was intrigued. I found the story slightly confusing, and would have liked things to have been a bit more spelled out and obvious, but that's just me. Acting was good though.
