2
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 1980,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
This will always be the classic. Good and evil. Mysticism. Great Battles. Hope from hopelessness. And, most importantly, someone OTHER than george lucas in charge.
3
The Godfather 1972,  R)

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
this film contains what may be one of the best siege scenes ever filmed.
9
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The only regret i have about this movie is that the first time i saw it, it was very very late at night/early am. I was too tired to really understand what a great movie i had just seen.
10
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
best of the three, who knew hobbits were gay, though?
11
Jaws 1975,  PG)
Jaws
This has been a favorite of mine since before I was old enough to go see it. I've always dug sharks. I have a shark tattoo. The performances are so genuine and the story's a good one. (watch it high once or more)
12
Sexy Beast 2001,  R)
Sexy Beast
I call this the Wal-Mart of movies. It has friggin' everything and it didn't cost a lot. It's got good script, great acting, great directing, a heist, a romance, a murder mystery-sorta- a six foot tall rabbit, etc. I also like it because you see Ben kingsley as the anti-ghandi.
13
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels 1999,  R)
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Best British crime thriller/comedy.
14
Serenity 2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
I loved this series on TV and liked the film for how neatly it wrapped it all up.
15
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan 1982,  PG)
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan
Never has a more quotable film been written. yes, some of the performances are over the top. But, you know, what? that's where the icing sits on a cake. over the top. And cake without icing is just not the same. So suck it.
16
Star Trek - First Contact 1996,  PG-13)
Star Trek - First Contact
I just loved this one. Great plot. Fun action. Believable time travel. And pee jokes!
17
Glengarry Glen Ross 1992,  R)
Glengarry Glen Ross
Trying to describe how great this movie is like trying to recite the declaration of indepence after falling out a 2nd story window onto your gut. It knocks the wind out of you even just thinking about it.
18
Road House 1989,  R)
Road House
this movie is so bad its awesome. Ridiculously quotable. It's got Sam Elliott, Monster Trucks, Swayze's ass, gratuitous sex and violence, explosions, barfights, gunfights, helicopters, knifefights and the best line in a movie ever: "I used to F*%& guys like you in prison!" An absolute -10, which makes it a 10!
