Being a lover of the original movie I was really looking forward to the sequel and more adventures of the erstwhile Transporter (Jason Statham). Well I guess that set me up for more of a disappointment as I feel the director, writers and Statham himself had the need to out do the first movie. And in an attempt to set the they pushed the bar way too far and out into the next room. As there is a fine line between over-the-top plausible and over-the-top ridiculous and unfortunately this movie falls mainly in the latter category
A great watch. I'm not sure how many women (or men for that matter) would have known how to piece a telephone together but otherwise a great idea. Just didn't have the "yes yes yes" factor to want me to watch it over and over again.
If X-Men proved Hollywood can make a good blockbuster superhero movie and X-Men 2 proved a good superhero movie sequel can be made, X-Men 3 proved that changing directors two-thirds of the way through a trilogy is a stupid move to make.
X-Men 3 wasn't just bad. It was terrible. It was a hollow shell of a movie that completed the trilogy, forever leaving a bad taste in the mouths of X-Men fans everywhere. I hope the studio learned its lesson, as there are more X-Men (and related) movies in the making.
Quite scary, bringing chills down your spine. This film shows that there is an enormous difference between talking to the dead and meddling with them. Maybe they don't want to be bothered...
Not quite as good as the original, mainly because of the ending which in effect forces you to watch the next POTC movies, as nothing is resolved, the film is therefore very hard to appriciate on its own.)
Adam Sandler lights up the screen with his funny role, as the regular sweet town guy, with a billionaire uncle who leaves it all to him. He couldn't have showed a better performance, and I was pleased with him.
The Rundown marks the arrival of Dwayne Johnson, A.K.A. "The Rock" as a bona-fide movie star. As Beck, a "Retrieval Expert" who longs for a simpler life as a chef, he displays for the first time on film the humor and charisma that won him "Millions....and MILLIONS!" of fans in the WWE. Dispatced to the South American town of El Dorado (Called Hell Dorado by the locals) to fetch Travis Walker (Seann William Scott), the wayward son of his shady boss, Beck gets more than he bargained for. He finds Travis easily enough, but getting him home might pose more of a problem. Not only does Travis not WANT to go home, but local land baron Hatcher (The hilariously nutty Christopher Walken, at his eye-popping best here) won't LET him go...At least not until Travis finds a mythical golden idol for him. The Rock vs. an army of gun-toting slave-drivers......P lace your bets!
it was the tru story of two New york city cops named john Mcloughlin and will jimeno who entered the world trade center building number one on september 11th, 2001,. When the builiding collapses they rely on each other for company, and someone to tak to.Also in this film they show their wives and what they deal with after they fin out their husbands are missing in the rubble.
the film was directed by Oliver stone, someone who when he gets his hands on a true story he sticks to the facts and doesnt add anything, it was good to see that he did that this film cause this was one of those film that everyone will remember for years and years to come, and if the was something wrong with it Oliver would nver here the end of it.
The film starred Nicolas Cage as john Mclouglin and nic was absolutley brilliant, he brought experience and his capabiltes of performing in major roles that are sent his way, allthough after watching this film you feel that no matter what performance nic tries next it will not be nearly as good as this one, but oh well nic is still great and will do so good things in the future.
The second Star of this film was Micheal Pena as will jimeno and he was fantastic, the role demanded alot out of mike and he delivered with alot, the film demanded emotions and scenes that alot of actors would not be able to do , not because they aernt good but simply because they just dont have the experience and aernt willing to give it all they have.
The supporting cast was lead by maggie gyllenhall an mario bello as the wives of the two cops and they were both spectacular.they showed worry and they cried and they had to break the news to their children and it was really sad to see that.
The scesnes in which the two were trapped and they were talking were amazing, alot of people would have given up and just let death take them, but these two realized that their families need them and they wanted to get back to them.
Their was alot of people saying that this film was amde to early for the families that lost someone in this tradgedy, but it seems like oliver stone waited long enough and noe the families of the loved ones may not watch this movie, but it was still a very good film.
The story featured alot of sadness and alot of emotions, it could really bring out the tears of the best of us, and that is a good thing.
Oliver stone delivers with a ver good adaption of what really happened septmember 11th, 2001. Nic Cage and mike Pena were splendid and the supprting cast as well, all in all a good film that one day everyone should definitley watch
