My Favorite Movies

If only Gore had beaten Bush. The World would be a much, much better place by now.

A movie that tries to make you like a pro-smoking lobbyist. Very difficult to get right but it was nailed perfectly. Satire done wonderfully. I didn't laugh so much although it was funny; I was preoccupied trying to work out if the movie was pro or anti smoking. I still don't know but that's probably what makes it great. In a world of spin and political correctness this movie sits on the fence and to it's credit. Aaron is an amazing actor - I'd love to see more of his work.

They chose the right guy. I've seen every Bond movie and they've made the right move with the new grittier direction. Definitely a great improvement when compared to the terrible 'Die Another Day'. 9/10 simply because I still don't fully understand the ending and what happened with the money to cause Vesper's death.

Amazing. The Director's Cut is close to perfection and it's possibly the best ending to a movie ever.

Sure, maths lessons in school may suck but this is the story of a gifted mathematician and his struggle to distinguish imaginary people from real people. I almost cried in happiness at the end.

This film is hilariously funny throughout. It's about love but guys will probably find it funny anyway. Women will love this film as long as they don't mind seeing topless women frequently. I've never really had a favourite actress before but Elisha Cuthbert has stolen my heart. I'll simply have to rent the whole 24 series now!

Some people say the movie is historically inaccurate. I don't care on this occasion because it's one of the greatest and most moving movies of all time.

Watch it and you'll understand why it's still considered one of the best movies of all time. The ending was a very slight letdown for me but there was no easy way to end this masterpiece in a way that everyone would love completely.

The constant fear of death and the struggle for survival culminates in some heart stopping moments shortly before the Germans leave and as the Russians arrive.

This deserves to be a timeless classic. There aren't many huge movies about the Korean war but boy, this is great. I won't spoil the plot but it's incredibly emotional. A true tale of brotherhood. And yes, it's better than Saving Private Ryan.

Ok, obviously no-one else agrees with 10 stars but I'm a real sucker for Hugh Grant love movies. Yes, I know; that fact scares me more than you!

My favourite horror movie. Exciting storyline and certainly exciting. Best of British.

This movie was amazing! An incredible story but the beauty is in the execution. More action than many war movies and impressive long-length shots, one of which maneouvered around inside a car for about 14 minutes during an action sequence. The attention to detail is also impressive; every newspaper and photograph you see fits in the story. Only missed out on 10/10 because I wish it had expended the ending more to show a more final outcome.
