Moon Child 2004,  Unrated)
Moon Child
My movie of the moment! It got me so much that I was reduced to tears in front of my sister! Hyde and Gackt are beautiful and play their parts marvelously... if only the story had made sequels possible... but alas, every ends with definate finality... thus the tears

The Shawshank Redemption 1994,  R)
The Shawshank Redemption
I love this movie and the novella was amazing too... I was surprised to learn it was written by Stephen King... it is a very bittersweet and uplifting movie and I recommend it to everyone... It's enchanting... and I love it! After so much suffering it's nice to see a movie of friendship and the ideals of freedom from someone best known for his horror movies...
3
Moulin Rouge! 2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
I love this movie cause of the dazzling and exagerated visuals with plenty of dramatic color... The songs are fun and easy to sing along with (if you are alone at home) and the story is rather cute... it makes more sense though, once you watch the special features on the dvd... the driving force behind the movie (ziddler's money-draining obsession with electric lighting) But the movie flows well and ends in a tragically bittersweet way...

Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust 2000,  R)
Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust
How can you go wrong with vampires... well, you can, it's very easy... but not if you respect them... if directors and writers respect the creature and not set out to ridicule them, the movie will be great... and VHD:BL does just that... wonderful animation (much improved as compared to the first) with a classic vampire hunter story line that has a cute romantic twist to it... but not where you expect it...
5
The Emperor's New Groove 2000,  G)
The Emperor's New Groove
what can I say? I'm more (or less) an adult and yet I love this movie... It's great for when I'm eating lunch alone at home... I get to eat in the living room and feel like a little kid again...
6
Patch Adams 1998,  PG-13)
Patch Adams
Tears of a clown... this movie is enough to inspire anyone to become a doctor... first he overcomes depression then sets off to conquer medical school... and if that wasn't enough, add his comical style and a terrible tragedy and you get my favorite mixture of: comedy, romance and tragedy... it's bittersweet and couldn't taste any better...
7
Dangerous Liaisons 1988,  R)
Dangerous Liaisons
Johnny boy again, this time as a player who gives as good as he gets when he makes a startling realisation about his life and all the social manipulating he had been doing with Glenn Close...
8
Mary Reilly 1996,  R)
Mary Reilly
romantic and tragic... plus is has John Malkovich... I love him... and so does Julia in this movie... though, it ends in a bittersweet fashion...
9
Escaflowne - The Movie 2000,  PG-13)
Escaflowne - The Movie
I adore this movie... the characters are recognisable from the characters in the TV series, despite the change in style, I believe it the style is nicer than the series and it's nice that Milerna looks tougher... The movie itself feels a little tougher around the edges than the series and in a way maybe a little rushed but trying to tell a story in a movie is different than making it into a series... It just seemed to feel better to me, than the series...
10
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children 2005,  PG-13)
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
I don't remember when but at one point I forgot they were animated... the characters seemed so life-like and fluid that they just became real to me... having played the game is a definate plus if you want the whole experience (since it is the sequel to the game) but simply knowing some background on the characters is good enough... otherwise you'll be left thinking: huh? Sephi-who? or who's the chick in pink? But if you are an FF fan... no WAY can you pass up this movie!
11
The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975,  R)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
A classic... I love watching this while doing housework... there is nothing more fun than dancing the TimeWarp with a vacuum as your partner! Though I will admit to being jealous that Tim Curry has nicer legs than I do and certainly looks better in that outfit than I could... ^_^
12
Legend 1986,  PG)
Legend
this is a fairy tale... literally... reality goes out the window and down the rabit hole here... glitter is everywhere, the original symphonic score was thrown out for a more enya-ish electric feel provided by Tangerine Dream... which only added to the otherworldly charm of this movie...
13
The Covenant 2006,  PG-13)
The Covenant
a movie about warlocks not witches... cool
