LOVED THIS FILM. I felt like it perfectly combined the subtle, nuanced comedy of The Life Aquatic, with the keener, sensitive moments of The Royal Tenenbaums. Anderson has truly knocked one out of the park for me, with this film. (Also helped that more than a few moments reminded me of my own siblings....don't ask.)

A equally stark and sensitive portrayal of the more cruel side of human nature. Monica Bellucci's performance is incredibly moving and she is truly breathtaking to behold.

Sets and scenery beyond compare. Beautifully, haunting score. For those who know East Asian Cinema is more than just martial arts. Zhang Ziyi give one of the best performances I've seen as an actress.

This is one of the most special and endearing movies I've seen in a long time.

I loved this movie! This is how a musical should be - granted you can't really go wrong with The Beatles. But Julie Taymor, really runs with it. Beautiful, moving, feel-good, this film has it all.

One of Spielberg's greatest films. Due to become a classic. It was also great to see him break from his personal style a bit, and produce such a great-looking film, gritty and artistic.

LOVED this film!!! Will Ferrell is amazing! The rest of the cast shines. Marc Forster diversity comes through again. The script is a dream. Anyone who loves literature will love this film.

This movie, is hands-down my oscar favourite. Ryan Gosling is brilliant and Shareeka Epps should have been nominated as well. I usually don't like movies related to drugs, finding them to be degenerate and unrelatable, but this film smashes all those boundaries.

Richard Linklater is great. I loved this film, even more than the first. Great acting on behalf of Hawke and Delpy and I found their characters to be much more relatable and truer, after their time apart with their own lives, at time flawed.

Visually amazing, animation as an art form.

Tarsem Singh has provided us with another gift. In the vein of The Cell, every shot is stunning beyond compare - the frame bursts with colour, energy and detail. This is a childhood-fantasy with the emotional maturity of an epic drama.

Incredible insight into the American military-industrial complex.

I'm many are not aware this film was directed by Alfonso Cuarón. After seeing the film, this should be obvious. The cinematography is sumptuous and the story line is classic and moving.

Love, love, love this film. It gets better everytime you watch it. Don't watch DVD commentary, it's a bit pretentious and obnoxious.

This film, loosely based on true events, is beautful and moving. A cast made up largely of children under the age of 13, the acting is perfect in it's understated delivery. I think the length is entirely deserved.

A triumph by Darren Aronofsky. Nicolas Cage did a great deed stepping down to allow Rourke to play this role seemingly tailor-made for him. Perfectly shot, acted and paced, this film feels more real than most of the docu-dramas on the market.

The greenish-hued images create the perfect mood for the film. The story is incredibly moving and the main cast is exceptional.

A love story, centred in the beautiful Tibetan landscape. A thoughtful examination of the role of women in the buddhist religion.

I love the washed out green yellow colour scheme of this film, similar to Lives of Others. The cast is amazing, this is definitely one of the best sci-fi movies on the market.

I know a lot of people had a hate on for this movie, so I was skeptical when i watched it, but I really, really loved it. I thought everyone did a great job, but the standouts for me had to be Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, and Penelope Cruz, and Fergie really showed why she was the singer of the bunch. I know I will watch it over and over again after I buy it.

I thought this movie was very well done, much as the title indicates it's a very quiet film. The haunting and serene soundtrack perfectly underscores the emotions of the film. Great performances, a sweet, touching film that aptly deals with the issues of loss, relationships, family and life as a whole.
