I have been avoiding this one since the first left a negative after taste in my mouth and, it was more of the same though Downey's character has grown on me so his self centered attitude wasn't as annoying. Perhaps a little worse as the villain actually didnt seem to pose a real threat at all. its more useful as an introduction to black widow and a proper introduction to nick fury than an actual engaging film this time around. A better choice in villain/villains would have made this film more watchable. Overall a fun fleeting film, but not worth buying. See everyone at iron man 3!

Once in a while it's actually good to just let the critiquing go and just enjoy a movie as it is, and, I have to say, Detective Dee's mystery action and joy is infectious. Andy Lau is awesome as always, the stunts and camerawork top knotch, Bingbing Li is gorgeous and the story, though a little silly, holds together enough to let the martial artist stunts soar. a fun film from veteran Tsui Hark.
