it wasnt too bad, but I felt major plot points were missing or ignored. especially the numerous time leaps. Not bad though. It seems to have a positive influence on though of course much more popcorn oriented American spy and assassination
cinema that would come later in the decade like Mission Impossible and Bourne.

perhaps an early inspiration for lost in translation, but this was the perfect romantic film. The leads interactions and chemistry never feel fake or forced, but beautifully natural. Another great achievement for Richard Linklater as director and cowriter. Surprised this film didn't receive any academy or other award buzz, especially in the screenplay category.
