The U.S. vs. John Lennon 2006,  PG-13)
The U.S. vs. John Lennon
Great documentary. Shows the craziness of the government trying to go after one individual that they see as a threat. Has great relevancy today also.
2
Schindler's List 1993,  R)
Schindler's List
One of Spielberg's best, and most meaningful movies. He can still tug at the emotions well, as he does near the end. This is an important movie for anyone to see.
3
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope 1977,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
Great fun as the first of the Star Wars movies.
4
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 1980,  PG)
5
Saving Private Ryan 1998,  R)
Saving Private Ryan
This is great for the opening D-Day scene alone. Moving and meaningful film.
6
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial 1982,  PG)
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
A classic. Spielberg has always been really great at working people's emotions and this is no exception.
7
Munich 2005,  R)
Munich
Spielberg got criticized for this movie from both sides which is due to him trying to be a bit evenhanded in his look at the aftermath of the massacre of the Israeli athletes at Munich. A very well done study of the need of a country for revenge and the results.
8
The Graduate 1967,  PG)
The Graduate
Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft as Mrs. Robinson were great. Great Simon & Garfunkel songs. Classic lines.
9
Berkeley in the Sixties 1990,  Unrated)
10
A Hard Day's Night 1964,  G)
A Hard Day's Night
Shows the early stages of Beatlemania and really showcases the charm of the Beatles. A great look at them as they were in the year of them really taking over the world.
