A dark comedy for anyone with taste. What an amazing adaptation of the novel, which is a bestseller even today, after 60 years! The movie is filmed beautifully, the beauty of the macabre and eccentric. The romantically errie scenes of Whispering Glades are quite stirring, and then curiously transition into moments like the 'dinner date' with Mr. Joyboy and his mommy (hilariously disturbing).
