The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Enya will never be the same for you after watching a torture scene in this movie but that's just one that will make you cringe. I haven't seen the Swedish version of the movie, but the Fincher edition rivals his work on Se7en and the Zodiac. It's definitely heightened by NIN's score and gorgeous cinematography. Hopefully you get a chance to watch this one, but keep the kids out!
Marvel's The Avengers

I'd say Loki stole the show, and while the movie felt a bit long, the witty dialogue kept it going. The giant battle in the end was great, but I actually liked the fight in the forest a bit more interesting. The new Hulk was great, and Iron-Man was awesome as usual. Stay till the end for an extra scene, but I don't think it was really worth it compared to the other end-of-movie treats in the past.

You have to step back and think about how hard this script is to write, and just realize that Charlie Kaufman is great at what he does. Must be Jim Carrery's best performance up till now.
