Bishop and his men plan to spend only a short time in Mexico and then cross back into Texas to continue plying their trade. Their stay is lengthened however when they meet a violent Mexican general who wants them to rob a U.S. train carrying arms. They do so, but it leads to a violent and bloody final confrontation.
Review: I m not exacly a appreciator of western films but i started to enjoy and respect the genre when i watched The Good, the Bad and the Ugly so i decided to see more westerns and the one that attracted my attention was The Wild Bunch.I got a chance to see it on TV.I don t what to say but The Wild Bunch is such an amazing picture.I was blown away by the intensity and realism that realizes they don t make movies like this anymore. That s why classics like The Wild Bunch will live forever.
William Holden delivers a great perfomance as Pike Bishop, the leader of a veteran gang of outlaws who decides to make one more score before retirement but it seems that it won t be a easy job when they re chased by Thorton and getting caught in the middle of te confrontation agaisnt the mexican army.Holden was great because he has such a commanding presence, making Pike a man with a strong code of honour but not exacly the moral figure.Ernest Borgnine was brilliant as Dutch,Pike s right arm and the moral member of the group. It was impressive from the part of Borgnine because he was the best actor of the film.Robert Ryan was also great as Thornton, the man who chases Pike and his gang.I really enjoyed Ryan because he can be on the same level of Holden and Borgnine. The rest of the cast were memorable including Edmond O´Brien,Warren Oates and Ben Jonhson.
Sam Peckinpah is the freaking man and he makes in my opinion one of the toughest and hardcore westerns of all time.Peckinpah s directon was truy masterfull and i enjoyed the violence and the intensity he brought to the picture.I was familliar with his work thanks to The Getaway but this is the best film of his career.
The Wild Bunch is already my favorite western next to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and an oustanding classic of film history. If you love classics and western, then watch The Wild Bunch to remind why the classics are the best.An memorable masterpiece and Sam Peckinpah´s iconic western epic.
"Three billion human lives ended on August 29th, 1997. The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare...the war against the machines".-Sarah Connor
Director:James Cameron Cast:Arnold Schwarzenegger,Linda Hamilton.Edward Furlong,Robert Patrick Genre:Action,Science Fiction Year of release:1991 Running Time:137 minutes
Plot: A decade after Sarah Connor destroyed the original Terminator, a second unstoppable killing machine arrives from the post-apocalyptic year 2029. But this time his mission is to stop an even deadlier Terminator, the T-1000 , made entirely of shape-shifting liquid metal and determined to kill young John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. Sarah, John, and the Terminator counter by going after the scientist responsible for developing Skynet, the computer system fated to destroy humanity, leading to an explosive and spectacular clash with the fate of humanity in the balance.
Review: Back in 1984,The Terminator became one of the biggest classics of science fiction and turned Arnold Schwarzenegger and director James Cameron to superstars.7 years after the first movie, the war against the machines continues in Terminator 2:Judgement Day,the follow up of the 1984 classic.I first watched T2 when i was 6 years old and is very special to me because is one of the most phenomenal, spectacular and brilliant movies ever made, proving to be by far more superior than the original.Where many sequels failed,T2 prevailed with a better storyline, improved special effects and amazing action and intensity.Terminator 2:Judgement Day is one of those movies that is impossible to beat.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is back(like he promised)as The Terminator but this time he s sent to protect the Connors.Arnold has proven that he s the greatest action hero of all time and he proves once again with his fantastic perfomance as Terminator.Like in the original,he s still deadly and unstoppable but he becomes more connected with the humans.Arnold is in my opinion the heart and soul of the series and he will always be the Terminator.Linda Hamilton also returns as a much stronger and tougher Sarah Connor and boy her perfomance is amazing.Sarah changed a lot since she survived the attack of the first Terminator and the birth of her son John. She looked like a pshyco in th beggining of the film but she becomes much stronger and determined to protect her son and gain his love.Linda was phenomenal and she was way better than in the first movie.Robert Patrick dominates the movie as T-1000.This new terminator is much deadlier and unstoppable than his predecessor and looks preety undestructable.T-1000 s mission is to kill John Connor and nothing will stop him to achieve his goal.Edward Furlong was awesome as John Connor. He reminded me a little of Bart Simpson because of his sense of humour.Ed s perfomance was great because John is practically a target before he was born and becomes very strong to fullfill his destiny.
James Cameron delivers another spectacular ride like he knows best.Cameron is the only man who directed two sequels that are better than their predecessors(like Aliens). The action sequences are the best ever made in a movie and nobody knows action better than Mr.Cameron.
Terminator 2:Judgement Day is one of the greatest action movies of all time and a oustanding masterpiece and a excelent follow up of the first movie but way better than Rise of the Machines and Salvation.Masterpiece of James Cameron
Director:Christopher Nolan Cast:Leonardo DiCaprio,Ken Watanabe,Joseph Gordon-Levitt,Ellen Page Genre:Action,Science Fiction Year of Release:2010 Running time:148 minutes
Plot: Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.
Review: After the massive success of The Dark Knight in 2008,everybody was wondering what would be Christopher Nolan s next project. The answer is Inception,a elaborated and yet complex thriller about the world of dreams.I was preety excited because after i saw the trailler,i said:"This looks good".Inception is such an original,mind-blowing and heartpounding movie experience that will grab you every second.Inception is another example of excellent cinema.
Leonardo DiCaprio delivers a fantastic perfomance as Dom Cobb,a expert in the art of extraction(stealing ideas from the dreams)who takes on more job to go home but the mission seems to become more complicated Cobb could predict ,specially with a enemy he would predict.DiCaprio proves once again to be one of the best actors of his generation and Inception is by far his best next to The Departed and Titanic.DiCaprio was well casted because we see a lot of him on Cobb.Ken Watanabe is such a wonderfull supporting actor with his great perfomance as Saito.Joseph Gordon-Levitt was fantastic as Arthur and man i was suprisded with Levitt. He s indeed one of the best actors of the film.Ellen Page was great as Ariadne, the youngest member of Cobb s group. It s great to see Ellen on the role since Juno. The rest was great including Tom"Bane"Hardy,Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy.
Christopher Nolan has done it again and delivers another masterpiece.Nolan s direction was truly masterfull and he did the same thing like The Dark Knight but much far.Nolan is indeed one of the most brilliant directors of all time and i m looking forward to his next projects.
Inception is such a brilliant and oustanding thriller and one of the best movies ever made.A wonderfull and brillliant blockbuster,Inception will continue to thrill you many years to come.
Director:Ridley Scott Cast:Harrison Ford,Sean Young,Rutger Hauer,Edward James Olmos Genre:Science Fiction Year of release:1982 Running Time:117 minutes
Plot: Advances in genetic technology have allowed scientists to create sophisticated biologically-engineered humanoid beings called "replicants". Following a violent revolt that takes place "off world," replicants are declared illegal on Earth. In Los Angeles, November 2019, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is called out of retirement when a fellow Blade Runner, Holden (Morgan Paull) is shot administering a Voight-Kampff test to Leon (Brion James), an escaped replicant. A reluctant Deckard is brought to his old boss Bryant (M. Emmet Walsh), who informs him that the recent escape of Nexus-6 replicants is the worst yet. He orders Deckard to eliminate the four replicants, a process referred to as "retirement".
Review: Blade Runner is one of the movies that changed my life forever. This futuristic thriller became one of the most influential movies not only of science fiction but of cinematic history, inspiring other movies like The Matrix and The 5th Element.I first watched Blade Runner when i was a kid.I didn t understand the story but the darkness and the visual effects grabed me a lot. Some people don t understand Blade Runner but i now understand the message of the film.Is about being human and what makes us being human, showing the dark side of humanity.Blade Runner remains a timeless classic that will never die.
Harrison Ford delivers a fantastic perfomance as Deckard, the ex-cop who is asigned to kill fugitve replicants.Ford confessed that Blade Runner is the most complicated movie he s ever done in his brilliant career.Deckard is very different from Han Solo and Indiana Jones but Harrison nailed the part perfectly. He gives such a charm and vulnerability to Deckard that makes his perfomance very realistic. For me,is Harrison s best perfomance and i couldn t imagine this movie without him.Sean Young is absolutely stunning as Rachael and her perfomance is preety decent. She s a mystery in the beggining because we question if she s or not a replicant. The chemistry between Deckard and Rachael is really electrifying and a must see aswell.Rutger Hauer is the best actor in the movie with his fantastic perfomance as the leader of the replicants,Roy Batty. That perfomance is truly deserfull of a Oscar.Hauer dominates the movie specially in his remarkable speech in the ending, probably one of the best endings ever made.Edward James Olmos didn t show up a lot but his presence is very powefull and so his perfomance. We also see Daryl Hannah for the first time as Pris but she was even better in Kill Bill.
Ridley Scott directs his most remarkable masterpiece, setting a new standard in science fiction just like he did with Alien in 1979.Scott directs masterfully this movie, showing a darker side of his personality that i could feel.Blade Runner shows how great director Ridley Scott is and he showed it with Thelma and Louise and Gladiator.
Blade Runner will go down in history as one of the greatest masterpieces of science fiction along 2001,Star Wars and Alien. This is such a phenomenal movie that will live on forever no matter how many years.Thank you Ridley Scott on creating one of the greatest movies of all time.Masterpiece.
"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie and Dim and we sat in the Korova milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening.? The Korova Milk Bar sold milkplus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence"-Alex De Large
Director:Stanley Kubrick Cast:Malcom McDowell,Patrick Magee,Mihcael Bates,Warren Clark Genre:Science Fiction,Thriller Year of release:1971 Running Time:136 minutes
Plot: Alex, a teenage hooligan in a near-future Britain, gets jailed by the police. There he volunteers as guinea pig for a new aversion therapy proposed by the government to make room in prisons for political prisoners. "Cured" of his hooliganism and released, he is rejected by his friends and relatives. Eventually nearly dying, he becomes a major embarrassment for the government, who arrange to cure him of his cure. A pivotal moment is when he and his gang break into an author's home: the book he is writing (called "A Clockwork Orange") is a plea against the use of aversion therapy, on the grounds that it turns people into Clockwork Oranges (Orang is Malay for "Man"): they are not being good from choice (sentiments later echoed by the prison chaplain). The film reflects this: many bad scenes in a Clockwork Orange are accompanied by jolly music; if we are to experience them as we should, we have to do it consciously, by realising they are bad, and not because the director tells us so through the use of music and images.
Review: I didn t know what to expect about A Clockwork Orange because it looked such a violent and disturbing movie that bothered me at the beggining but as a Stanley Kubrick,i decided to watch this movie on TV and boy, this movie is absolutely stunning and it blew me away big time.A Clockwork Orange is one of the most shocking, disturbing, contorversial and definetly brilliant films of all time, showing a shocking vision of a futuristic and dystopic Britain.I really enjoyed this movie and i knew that A Clockwork Orange is a stunning masterpiece.
Malcom McDowell delvers a stunning, disturbing but briilaint perfomance as Alex De Large.Alex is a young delinquent who loves to create havoc with his friends in the streets of Britain but he went too far when he accidentaly kills a woman with, well,a penis statue. He gets arrested and he is subimted into a behavior modification therapy that changes his personality and makes him a peacefull person but the modification will make a impact in his own life and existence.McDowell s perfomance is absolutely brilliant because he looks so damn scary but at the same time very vulnerable and realistic aswell. This is probably Malcom McDowell s most memorable and popular role yet.
Stanley Kubrick is one of the greatest directors of all time and i have no shame to say that.Kubrick shows all his brilliance and talent no making this amazing movie. The camera work is definetly one of the bests i ver ever seen in a movie that makes a Clockwork Orange such a enjoyable movie.
A Clockwork Orange is a stunning masterpiece and definetly Kubrick s most contorversial and shocking movie but is such a great movie and deserves the title of one of the greatest movies of all time.Masterpiece.
Director:Quentin Tarantino Cast:John Travolta,Samuel L.Jackson,Bruce Willis,Uma Thurman Genre:Crime,Gangster Year of release:1994 Running Time:147 minutes

While one is asked to baby sit their boss' dangerously pretty young wife, the other suddenly realizes that he must give up his life of crime.
Review: That s what i call a bad motherfucking movie. When i saw Pulp Fiction for the first time,i got disturbed by the extremely violence of the movie but a couple of years later,i realized that this is really a great movie.Pulp Fiction is definetly one of the greatest movies of all time and made a instant fan of Quentin Tarantino.Sure it isn t a comedy but i laughed my ass off in the entire movie.Pulp Fiction has everything i love in a movie:good directing, great story and memorable and diferent characters with one thing in common:they re about to have a one hell of a day.Pulp Fiction is great example of a cool movie and an amazing movie experience.
John Travolta delivers a great perfomance as Vincent Vega. This role ressurected Travolta s career and he s very thankfull for that.Vincent Vega is a sarcastic gangster who is a heroin addicted and works with his friend Jules.Vega starts his day with collecting some dues, shoots Marvin in the face(accidentaly)and hangs out with his boss s wife.Travolta is so cool in this movie and other ones of course.Samuel L.Jackson is fantastic as Jules Winnefield, the baddest motherfucker of movie history next to Tony Montana of Scarface.I like Jules because he s the kind of guy you wouldn t want to mess with and makes his victims crying like little bitches and he s ready to end the tirany of evil men.Jackson is the coolest actor of all time and this is his best role ever.Uma Thurman was great as Mia Wallace.Mia is the sassy wife of Marsellus Wallace and she likes to party and consume drugs.Uma was great but she s even better in Kill Bill.Bruce Willis was great as Butch.Although he s not the main star,Bruce delivers as always.Butch is a boxer who is always getting into trouble, kinda similar to John McClane of Die Hard. The rest of the actors were great including Harvey Keitel,Tim Roth and Ving Rhames.
Quentin Tarantino s direction made Pulp Fiction the great movie that it is today and it s definetly his best movie.Tarantino has a great talent of creating great characters and stories, which is one of the best things he can do.Tarantino is one of the greatest directors of all time and i have no shame to say it.
Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favorite and Tarantino s most legendary movie next to Reservoir Dogs,Jackie Brown,Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds. It won t be a cooler movie like Pulp Fiction for the next few years and still today Pulp Fiction is great masterpiece for the movie fans and Tarantino fans like myself.Classic masterpiece courtesy of Tarantino.
Director:Stanley Kubrick Cast:Keir Dullea,Gary Lockwood,John Ashley,Allan Gifford Genre:Science Fiction Year of release:1968 Running Time:142 minutes
Plot: 2001 is a story of evolution. Sometime in the distant past someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith here on earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well) Evolution then enabled man to reach the moon's surface where he finds yet another monolith, one which signals the monolith-placers that we have evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and man (Bowman) to reach the monolith-placers, the winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.
Review: I was interested to see 2001:A Space Odissey because i ve heard great things about this movie and also i m a huge Stanley Kubrick fan. When i first saw it,it was very hard to describe how did i feel because this movie blew me away and i was extremely focused(that rarely happens,actually).2001 is one of the beautiifull and visually stunning movies of all time and a landmark in science fiction. If you think that Star Wars was a revolution in science fiction, think again because 2001 is a unique movie and personally no other sci fi movie will achieve perfection like 2001 did.
2001 s plot is kind of simple. It starts right in the beggining of mankind back in the time of cavemen and monkey scene was phenomenal and takes to the year of 2001 where a man called Bowman explores space with his computer HAL.Keir Dullea is a actor i ve never heard before but he gives a great perfomance in this masterpiece.Bowman is very intelligent and at the same curious, questioning himself if there life way beyond space.2001 takes the audience to the a whole new world and the music is magical and envolving that grabed me in the first minute. The visual effects are the best i ve ever seen and a landmark back in the 60 s and a very original plot aswell.
Stanley Kubrick is definetly a master of cinema.2001 is the first and only science fiction but Kubrick managed to create a stunning masterpiece along A Clockwork Orange,The Shining and Full Metal Jacket.Kubrick s inspiration is very influential in other future sci fi masterpieces like Star Wars,Alien ,Blade Runner,Encounters in the 3rd Kind,ET and Avatar.
2001:A Space Odissey is the most influential science fiction movie of all time and a stunning masterpiece courtesy of Kubrick that gained a special place in my life.Rest in Peace Mr.Kubrick.Your movies will live on forever and 2001 is no exception.
"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talking... you talking to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the fuck do you think you're talking to? Oh yeah? OK".. -Travis Bickle
Director:Martin Scorsese Cast:Robert De Niro,Harvey Keitel,Jodie Foster,Cybil Sheppard Genre:Crime,Drama Year of Release:1976 Running Time:113 minutes
Plot: Travis Bickle is an ex-Marine and Vietnam War veteran living in New York City. As he suffers from insomnia, he spends his time working as a cabbie at night, watching porn movies at seedy cinemas during the day, or thinking about how the world, New York in particular, has deteriorated into a cesspool. He's a loner who has strong opinions about what is right and wrong with mankind. For Travis, the one bright spot in New York humanity is Betsy, a worker on the presidential nomination campaign of Senator Charles Palatine. Travis becomes obsessed with Betsy. After an incident with Betsy, Travis believes he has to do whatever he needs to to make the world a better place in his opinion. One of his priorities is to be the savior for Iris, a twelve year old runaway and prostitute who he believes wants out of the profession and under the thumb of her pimp and lover Matthew.
Review: I wanted to see Taxi Driver for a long time but i never had the chance to see the movie, which made my excitement growing up a lot. When i watched it for the first time,i was blown away about Martin Scorsese s urban saga.Taxi Driver is probably one of greatest movies ever made and i had a good feeling on watching the movie. With great perfomances, great directing and a brilliant but dark history,Taxi Driver is an amazing masterpiece.
Robert De Niro delivers one of the most memorable and popular perfomances of his legendary career as Travis Bickle.Bickle is an emotionally unstable Vietname war veteran who gets a job as a taxi driver in New York City.During his work,Travis walks in the streets full of crime and decandence and starts to get consumed by it.Affected by the ongoing violence in the streets,Travis believes he can change the world by trying to help a teenage prostitute, which it leads him to extreme actions.De Niro is one of the greatest actors of all time and Taxi Driver shows De Niro s at his best. His perfomance was so intense and realistic that made Travis Bickle a sort of urban anti-hero.I think this De Niro s most iconic role ever next to Jake La Motta in Raging Bull.Jodie Foster makes one of her first appearences as Iris, the teenager prostitute who makes a connection with Travis. Not bad for Jodie sharing the screen with De Niro. She showed the signs of the great actress she would become. The rest were great including Cybil Sheppard as Besty and Harvey Keitel as Benjamin, the pimp.
Martin Scorsese is a master what comes to classics and Taxi Driver is no exception.Scorsese managed to capture the urban side of New York like no other director could do and Scorsese did it prefectly. The score is one of the best things of the picture,so is Pual Schraeder s brilliant script.
Taxi Driver is a amazing urban saga and one of the greatest movies of all time.Almost 35 years later,Taxi Driver is an unforgetabble classic of film history, courtesy of Martin Scorsese.
Director:Steven Spielberg Cast:Harrison Ford,Karen Allen,Paul Freeman,Ronald Lacey Genre:Action,Adventure Year of release:1981 Running Time:115 minutes
Plot: The year is 1936. A professor who studies archeology named Indiana Jones is venturing in the jungles in South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap doing so, miraculously, he escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to humanly existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemy Renee Belloq and a band of Nazis in order to reach it.
Review: Without doubt one of the greatest movies of all time and an absolutely phenomenal film.More than just a tribute to the 1930´s adventure serials,Raiders of the Lost Ark changed the adventure genre forever.I watched Raiders back at 2005 on DVD and became one of my all favorite movies.Personally,no other movie will beat this classic in my opinion and Raiders of the Lost Ark has everything i love in a movie:action, comedy, great scenes and a memorable character. This is the movie that will never die.The audience was introduced to one of the most iconic heroes of film history:Indiana Jones.
Harrison Ford delivers an amazing and memorable perfomance as Indiana Jones, the daredevil archaeologist who is assigned by the US Army to find the Ark of the Covenant before the nazis.Jones gets himself into a race against time and he must survive traps, poison and snakes to retreave the Ark.Harrison Ford is a wonderfull choice to the role that turned him into a superstar. With his charm, charisma, sense of humour and attitude,Harrison makes Indiana Jones a character who can stand of his own, becoming one of the most memorable heroes of film history.Harrison Ford is and will always be Indiana Jones.Karen Allen is fantastic as Marion Ravenwood,Indy´s old flame who joins our hero into the quest for the Ark.I like Marion because she´s preety tough and she can handle herself without help and Karen fits up to the role wonderfully.Paul Freeman is great as René Belloq,Indy´s nemesis who also wants the Ark aswell.Belloq is pratically just like Indy but he ´s more greedy. The rest of the cast is fantastic including Ronald Lacey as Toht,John Rhys Davies as Sallah and Denholm Elliot as Marcus Brody.
Steven Spielberg s direction is absolutely amazing and inspiring, which made Raiders of the Lost Ark the classic that it is today.Spielberg is the greatest filmmaker of all time and he managed to make a memorable adrenaline rush that will still conquer the audience for many years and i should give the credit to George Lucas for imagining a great story and an amazing hero.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of the greatest movies of all time and honestly it won t have another movie that can have the energy and excitement of this amazing classic. An amazing rollercoaster ride,Raiders of the Lost Ark is a timeless masterpiece, courtesy of Steven Spielberg.
Director:Brian DePalma Cast:Al Pacino,Steven Bauer,Michelle Phfeiffer,Robert Loggia Genre:Crime,Gangster Year of release:1983 Running Time:160 minutes
Plot: After years of diplomatic silence between the United States and Cuba, Castro opens the port of Mariel Harbor, Cuba, to thousands emmigrating to the United States in search of the American dream. Shrewdly, Castro also unlocks the overpacked prisons, allowing hordes of criminals to join the refugees. Tony Montana, a small time hood, is one of them. In Florida, Montana connects with gangster Frank Lopez, and guns his way through the sun washed streets of Miami where he finds power, wealth and passion. He kills Lopez and marries his mistress, Elvira. Montana, better known as "Scarface," soon becomes the leader of a bloody cocaine-smuggling empire but at a terrible cost to his sister, Gina and his loyal friend, Manny. However, like that of others before him, Montana's reign is brief and a violent end is guaranteed as rival gangster compete to become the next drug lord.
Review: No movie has made a massive impact on myself like Scarface when i first saw it back in 2004.This is absolutely one of the greatest movies of all time and one of my personal favorites actually.Based on the 1932 gangster movie with the same name and directed by Howard Hawks, this version is even more violent and updated but briliantly directed by Brian DePalma with a intense script by Oliver Stone.Scarface is simply phenomenal and one of the greatest classics of film history.
Al Pacino delivers an amazing and oustanding perfomance as the ruthless and psychotic cuban gangster Tony Montana which according to Pacino,he was inspired from the original version.Tony Montana is one of the coolest and bad ass movie characters of all time because he´s very honest and loyal to his balls and word but his greed takes him to extreme actions that could make his own destruction.Pacino was phenomenal in the movie and perhaps the role is the most popular role of his career. If it wasn t for Pacino in the role of Tony Montana, the movie wouldn t become the classic that it is now.Not a bad debut for Michelle Pheiffer as Elvira. She was bloody gorgeous but i still prefer her in Batman Returns.Stephen Bauer was great as Manny,Tony s best friend but i was shocked when he got killed by Tony. One of the actors i liked the most was Paul Shenar as Alejandro Soza. What i like about Soza is that he´s a respectable buissenessman but he´s one relentess bastard if some one tries to double cross him.One of the scenes that i don t like at all is when Tony kills his best friend Manny right in front of her sister.I mean is shocking because i would never kill my best friend.
Brian DePalma is one of the greatest directors ever. His technique of filmmaking reminded me of Sergio Leone´s style specially in the close ups to the character´s face but he created a one hell of a epic gangster movie just like the Untouchables.27 years after the release,Scarface changed the culture forever and inspired a generaton.
Scarface is one of the greatest movies of all time and the best gangster movie ever next to The Godfather,Goodfellas and Pulp Fiction. An extraordinary crime epic with no equal,Scarface is a classic phenomenal masterpiece that deserves a special place in movie history.

Review: I knew Back to the Future but i wasn t interested because i thought it was boring. After i bought the movie and watched it,i was like:Holy crap, this movie is fun.Back to the Future is one of the funniest and entertaining movies of all time in the same level of Star Wars,Indiana Jones and Ghostbusters and a great start of one of the greatest trilogies of all time.Back to the Future is now one of my favorite movies and there s no way they ll make a fun movie as this amazing classic.25 years later,Back to the Future is one of the most popular movies of all time.
Michael J.Fox delivers an unforgettable perfomance as Marty McFly,the teenager who accidentally travels back to 1955 and gets involved into a hilarious adventure in the 50 s.Fox is one of the funniest actors ever and i couldn t imagine another actor playing Marty.Marty is a kid like anyone but he has a unique charisma and sense of humour.Michael will always be Marty and i wish him well.Christopher Lloyd IS Doc Emmett Brown. He s everybody favorite mad scientist and also brings a great presence in the movie and the sequels.Fox and Lloyd have a great chemistry, which is the best thing of the series. The other actors were fantastic like Crispin Glover as George McFly and Lea Thompson as Lorraine. It was funny watching her having a crush on her future son.
Robert Zemeckis s direction is magical and he delivers an amazing energy in the movie that makes the audience watching Back to the Future over and over agan. The main star of the movie is definetly the time machine, the legendary Delorean.
Back to the Future is one of the greatest movies of all time and of the 80 s.I ll never get tired of this movie too soon.It won t be another film that can bring the excitement and fun just like Back to Future did.Happy birthday,Back to the Future.
Director:Peter Weir Cast:Robin Williams,Ethan Hawke,Robert Sean Leonard, Kurtwood Smith Genre:Drama Year of release:1989 Running Time:128 minutes
Plot: Painfully shy Todd Anderson has been sent to the school where his popular older brother was valedictorian. His room-mate, Neil, although exceedingly bright and popular, is very much under the thumb of his overbearing father. The two, along with their other friends, meet Professor Keating, their new English teacher, who tells them of the Dead Poets Society, and encourages them to go against the status quo. Each, in their own way, does this, and are changed for life.
Review: Dead Poet Society is one of the movies that really changed my life.I first saw it at school and i absolutely loved it.Until today,Dead Poet Sociey is one of the most brilliant, beautifull and inspiring films ever made with a wonderfull story set in a world of rules but also sends a power full message:making our lifes extraordinary.
Robin Williams delivers a brilliant perfomance as John Keating, the new professor of English Literature in the prestiged Welton School.Unlike his demanded colleagues,Keating s unusual teaching methods will change his students forever.Robin Williams is one of the funniest actor of all time but he has a incredible dramaic abilitly and he gives here one of the his best perfomances.John Keating is the kind of teacher i would love to have.Ethan Hawk was fantastic as Todd Anderson,a shy young man who is also inspired by Keating, becoming a real person,Hawke was great ,s tarting a great career with other movies like Gattaca and Training Day.Robert Sean Leonard was brilliant as Neil Perry,Todd s best friend who is always controlled by his demanding father.Leonard was brilliant and the suicide scene is the msot shocking scene of the movie.
Peter Weir did a wonderfull job on directing the movie, making Dead Poet Society a cinematic masterpiece.I wasn t familiar with Weir but he did make some preety good films like The Witness and Mosquito Coast. and Dead Poet Society is his best work by far.
Dead Poet Society is a wonderfull movie and very inspiring. One of the greatest classics of film history,Dead Poet Society has already a special place in the lifes of moviegoers of the every generation.Masterpiece.
"As I said before, I've allowed you to keep your wicked life for two reasons. And the second reason is so you can tell him in person everything that happened here tonight. I want him to witness the extent of my mercy by witnessing your deformed body. I want you to tell him all the information you just told me. I want him to know what I know. I want him to know I want him to know. And I want them all to know they'll all soon be as dead as O-Ren".-The Bride

Plot: Ellen Ripley, the sole survivor of the alien attack on the mining ship Nostromo, awakens half a century later when she is found by a salvage ship. The welcome given to her by the "Company" officials is far from warm, since they refuse to believe her discovery of alien existence and strip her off her flight officer's license. Ripley also discovers, much to her horror, that the planet LV-426 where her crew had encountered an alien species for the first time, is now colonized by the company. But when all contact from the planet is lost Ripley is called back into action again as an advisor to a team of tough space marines with lots of firepower. To get rid of her recurrent nightmares about the alien creature, Ripley prepares for a final battle with the monsters - and this time, there are hundreds of them out there.
Review: The sequels can be good like their predecessors, better or worse but in the case of Aliens, the sequel of Ridley Scott s sci fi thriller,is just as good as the original. While Alien is a claustrophobic thriller,Aliens is a explosive, heartpouding adrenaline rush that grabs the audience every single minute.24 years later,Aliens is still one of the greatest sequels ever made that will never be beaten.
Sigourney Weaver delivers once again an amazing perfomance as Ellen Ripley, the woman who survived the attack of the alien in the first movie.57 years later,Ripley was rescued by the company but when she related what happened to the crew, noboby believes in her story. When the colonists of LV 426 dissapeared,Ripley reluctantly teams up with a group of marines to investigate but they re about to face this time an army of aliens.Sigourney delivers in my opinion one of the greatest perfomances of her career with a stronger and tougher Ripley like no one has ever seen before. With her mix of toughness and vulnerability,Weaver turned Ripley to the most iconic female hero of all time and opening doors in the action genre other actresses like Angelina Jolie of Geena Davis.Michael Biehn was great as Hicks, one of the members of Marine Corps but he was better in The Terminator.Carrie Hehn was amazing as Newt and the relationship between them is on of the best things of the movie.Bill Paxton is freaking awesome as Hudson, one of the best characters in the movie and he totally stole it big time.
James Cameron made a sequel very faithfull to the original and at the same time taking the story to a whole new direction.Cameron is one of the greatest directors of all time and he proved it over and over again from The Terminator to Avatar.Cameron is indeed the master of sequels.
Aliens is the exampe how a great sequel can become a great movie and just like the first movie,is a timeless classic, not to mention, one of the greatest action-sci fi movies ever made, courtesy of James Cameron.

He realizes that Clarence is working for Bob Morton's competition Dick Jones. Now, Robocop must stop both Clarence and Dick Jones.
Review: Part man.Part machine. All cop.But for me,Robocop is one of the best movies ever made.I m a fan since i was a kid and i watched all the movies but let´s face it.The original is an amazing classic that cannot be beaten.Robocop is a explosive masterpiece and i don t care what they say. They don t make hardcore movies like Robocop anymore and that ´s how a action-sci fi is done.
Peter Weller delivers a fantastic perfomance as Alex Murphy, a police officer of Detroit who is brutally murdered by a gang but he s brought back to life as a crime fighting cyborg called Robocop.Despite being indestructible,Robocop is haunted by old memories including his death. Now he wants revenge.Peter Weller was born to play Robocop because his perfomance was amazing and no other actor would pull it of.Weller makes Robocop such a fascinating and believable character who may be a machine but his human soul is still alive.Weller is and will always be Robocop.Nancy Allen was great as Anne Lewis,Robo s partner and friend. She was a preety good female presence.Kurtwood Smith is awesome as Clarence Boddicker,Murphy executioner and he s such a great badguy with attitude and a sense of humour.Ronny Cox is fantastic as Dick Jones, the real villain who won t stop at nothing to run OCP.Cox brings a lot of evilness to Jones and he s also great in the picture.
Paul Verhoeven is amazing and he shows how action sci film is done.Verhoven combined action, emotion and violence in a big way, making Robocop one of his best works next Total Recall and Basic Instinct.
Robocop is one of the greatest classics of science fiction and a explosive action adrenaline rush who will always be remember.Next to The Terminator,Robocop is a timeless masterpiece who has a special place on my life.

Plot: With just one year having passed after taking out Ra's Al Ghul's plan to have Gotham eliminated and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA the Scarecrow, and after the city was nearly plundered with his toxins, Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego the Batman, continue the seemingly endless effort to bring order to Gotham, with the help of Lt. James Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent. But a new threat has now emerged into the streets. The Dark Knight faces a rising psychopathic criminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin, laughter, and inhuman morality makes him as dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. It becomes an agenda to Batman to stop the mysterious Joker at all costs, knowing that both of them are in an opposite line. One has no method at all and seeks to see the world plunge into the fire he has yet to light. One represents the symbol of hope and uses his own shadow to bring the peace and order he has yet to accomplish doing.
Review: In 2005,Batman was sucessfully revived in the silver screen in the excellent Batman Begins, ressurecting the series.3 years later,Bob Kane ´s legendary hero is back in The Dark Knight.I was excited to see The Dark Knight because i m enjoying this new turn on Batman and man, this movie is definetly a masterpiece. The Dark Knight is a explosive, hearthpouding and phenomenal blockbuster that pleased both fans, critics and audience, becoming one of the must sucessfull films ever made and also a contemporary masterpiece.
Christian Bale delivers once again a brilliant perfomance as Batman/Bruce Wayne. This time,Batman faces the biggest chalenge yet when he faces the sadistic and maniacal crime master known as The Joker, who will force Batman to break the line between the hero and the vigilante.Bale is definetly born to be Batman because he brings a whole new level of intensity and realism to the role.Bale is wthout doubt the best Batman ever.Heath Ledger is phenomenal as The Joker and he delivers one of the most oustanding perfomances of all time. The Joker is a mysterious figure dressed like a clown but he quickly shows to be a menace and takes Gotham to a ride of anarchy and destruction.Ledger did suprised me because i never thought he would pull it off as The Joker but he did.Ledger s Joker is much darker, threatning and dangerous than the other versions, giving to the audience one of the most memorable villains of al time.Heath Ledger will never be forgotten and he totally deseverd the Oscar.Aaron Eckhart was great as Harvey Dent, the district attorney who also becomes the villain known as Two Face.Eckhart was another suprise of the film and he was great. The rest were great including Gary Oldman as LT.James Gordon,Michael Caine as Alfred,Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes(lot better than Katie Holmes)and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
Christopher Nolan once again takes the Batman series to a whole new level and created a sequel that honors the original. With his wonderfull directing, Nolan created a spectacular and dark masterpiece and also one of his best works.Christopher Nolan is without doubt one of the most brilliant directors of today.
The Dark Knight is one of the greatest movies of all time and a modern classic that holds a special place in film history. The Dark Knight keeps alive the legacy of Batman and i can t wait for The Dark Knight Rises.RIP Heath Ledger and keep the good work,Nolan and Bale.

The community hires Max, as Max agrees to help the community transport the gasoline across the highway and fight for freedom, as they are pursued by the Humangus and his warriors.
Review: I always loved the Mad Max series since i was a kid and i was curious to see The Road Warrior because it s considered as the best movie of George Miller s apocalyptic trilogy. When i first watched Mad Max:The Road Warrior,it blew me away and is definetly one of the greatest action movies of all time and an oustanding improvement of the first movie.Mad Max:The Road Warrior is the kind of movie that will never be beaten and puts into the shame those CGI craps of today.Mad Max:The Road Warrior is an standard in the action genre.
Mel Gibson returns as the futuristic ex-cop Max Rockatansky aka Mad Max,after defeating The Toecutter and his gang and avenging his family death in the first movie. In this movie,Max becomes a drifter and travels in the dangerous roads of a apocalyptic Australia with his V -8 Interceptor but suddenly he get involved into a war between Papagallo s tribe and the dogs of war leaded by the Humungus.Gibson was fantastic because he makes Max a mysterious but tortured character and at a same time a complete badass aswell.Mel Gibson is one of the reasons why Mad Max is a great series and i hope he makes the fourth one.I loved Vernon Wells as Wez,the most dangerous of the dogs of war.I loved him as Bennett in Commando but he s a one sick fucker in this movie.Wells makes Wez a relentless villain that has no mercy to his enemies.Bruce Spence was funny as The Gyro Captain, bringing a lot of humour to the picture and Michael Preston give a decent perfomance as Papagallo.
George Miller makes a bigger, better and a more violent movie than the first movie.Miller s direction was fantastic and he delivers with the most spectacular action sequences ever made. The road scenes are absolutely insane that will thrill you every minute.
Mad Max:The Road Warrior is one of the greatest action movies of all time and the best movie of series. This classic is one of my all time favorites movies and it won t be a explosive action experience like this masterpiece.Greatest action movie of all time.

Review: When Star Wars came out,it became a phenomenal sucess and made a huge impact in film history.3 years later, the adventures of Luke Slywalker,Leia Organa and Han Solo continues in The Empire Strikes Back.the second installement of the Star Wars saga. Some sequels are very bad but the case of Empire. It s my favorite because it s more deeper and emotional than the first one.Either way,we re stairing at one of the greatest and brilliant sequels ever made.30 years later,The Empire Strikes Back is still a classic like the original.
Mark Hamill delivers a fantastic perfomance as Luke Skywalker.Luke begins his Jedi training when he meets Yoda in Dagobah and confronts Darth Vader for the first time in the Cloud City but Luke will face a revelation that will change him forever.Hamill s perfomance improved very much since the first film, making Luke much mature and secure of himself bu still the same one.Harrison Ford is once again great as Han Solo who will play a important part in the film when falls in love with Leia and being frozen on carbonite.Harrison is one of the reasons why i love Star Wars and most of his films aswell.Carrie Fisher is also great as Leia, who is much stronger and at the same vulnerable. Also appears is Yoda, the Jedi master who trains Luke.Yoda is one of the most popular characters of the Star Wars series.
Irvin Kershner did a great job on replacing George Lucas, creating one of the best sequels of all time.Kersnher s masterfull direction captured the emotion of the story from Han s carbonite freezing to Darth Vader s revelation as Luke s father.
The Empire Strikes Back is a cornerstone of the Star Wars legacy and one of the greatest classics ever made.If you like Star Wars, then this is your movie and RIP Irvin Kershner for giving us the greatest Star Wars film of all time.
"You know, we are sitting here, you and I, like a couple of regular fellas. You do what you do, and I do what I gotta do. But I tell you, if it's between you and some poor bastard whose wife you're gonna turn into a widow, brother, you are going down".-Vincent Hanna

Review: i first watched Heat a couple of years ago with my older brother but i didn t like it in the beggining because it was too long.Years later,i watched it again and again and boy this movie is a masterpiece.Heat is one of the greatest crime epics ever and influenced other crime epics like The Departed and The Dark Knight but i think it won t be another movie that can make the same impact of Michael Mann s oustanding epic.
Al Pacino and Robert De Niro:two movie legends in the same movie. What can be better than this?I m a huge fan of this two oustanding actors and they re the best thing of this movie.Pacino is Vincent Hanna,a veteran police officer of LA who leads a brutal chase against the gang responsible of the robbery of a armoured van and the murder of three security.De Niro is Neil McCauley,a professional thief and the leader of the gang that makes huge heists.Hanna finds a worthly opponent on McCauley but in the end when he dies,we see that they have a lot of common.Pacino and De Niro gave origin of one of the greatest showdowns of movie history that puts LA in the line of fire.Val Kilmer was great as Chris,Neil s right arm and personal friend. He was way better in this movie than in Batman Forever. The other actors were amazing including Tom Sizemore,Jon Voight and a little Natalie Portman.
Michael Mann s direction is absolutely brilliant and he managed to capture the reality of Los Angeles in a way other directors couldn t do.Mann created some of the most famous scenes of the movie including the bank robbery, the gunfight in the streets of LA and the reustarant conversation between Hanna and McCauley.
Heat is one the greatest crime epics of all time and Michael Mann s best movie next to The Informant,Collateral and Public Enemies. An oustanding classic like no other,Heat will always be one of the greatest movies i ve ever seen in years and it will hard a nice crime movie like this baby.Masterpiece of Michael Mann.

Plot: Recently promoted to 00 status, James Bond takes over his first mission, in which he faces a mysterious private banker to world terrorism and poker player, Le Chiffre. Along with a beautiful Treasury agent and the MI6 man in Montenegro, Bond takes part in a high stakes poker game set up by Le Chiffre in order to recover a huge sum of his clients' money he lost in a failed plot that the British spy took down. 007 will not only discover the threatening organization behind his enemy, but the worst of all truths: to not trust on anyone.
Review: After the dissapointement of Die Another Day,it was clear that James Bond needed to be reivented once again with the intention to bring the real spirit of Ian Flemming s legendary creation. The result is Casino Royale, the 21st film of the series and inspired by the first novel written by Fleming.I actually enjoyed Casino Royale because is so extremely realistic and brutal, ignoring the dumbness of the previous installements. It s preety clear that James Bond is back and better than never, maintaning as one of the iconic heroes of film history.
Daniel Craig makes his fantastic debut as Bond.James Bond. With two killings in his resumé,ranking to the 00 status,Bond s first mission takes him to confront the mysterious Le Chiffre in a high stake poker game in Casino Royale but the consequences will make Bond learn the hardest of all lessons:trust no one.Daniel Craig s choice created a lot contorversy among the die hard fans but after watching the film,Craig was absolutely phenomenal as Bond.Craig brings such a raw intensity, emotion and realism to Ian Fleming s hero, showing the real James Bond.Craig is the best Bond since Sir Sean Connery and i can t wait for Bond 23.Eva Green was great as Vesper Lynd, the woman who would change Bond forever in the most dramatic way.Lynd is kinda similar to Bond but they start to fall in love which ends in a tragic way.Mads Mikkelsen was fantastic as Le Chiffre and he s one of the best Bond villains ever.Judi Dench is also back as M and i like her conflict(and growing trust)with Bond.
Martin Campbell revives Bond once again after the excellent Goldeneye.Campbell´s brilliant and masterfull direction(with the excellent story)brings Bond to his real roots and opening new doors for a whole new generation of Bond films.
Casino Royale is a such a brilliant and oustanding revival of the series and the best Bond film ever made since Goldfinger.I m looking forward for more Bond films as good as Royale with the best Bond ever:Daniel Craig.
"Who said that? Who the fuck said that? Who's the slimy little communist shit, twinkle-toed cocksucker down here who just signed his own death warrant? Nobody, huh? The fairy fucking godmother said it. Out-fucking-standing! I will PT you all until you fucking die! I'll PT you until your assholes are sucking buttermilk!"-Gunnery Sgt.Hartman

On their last day on Paris Island, when everyone graduates, the psychological time-bomb explodes. Only intellectual Joker isn't assigned to jungle duty but as military war correspondent. He's unwilling to play the deceptive propaganda game and violence catches up even in the 'safe' city Hue.
Review: Well, what can i say about Full Metal Jacket?Yeah,i t s a violent and contorversial vision of Vietname but i absolutely loved it.(well, i m a Stanley Kubric fan).Full Metal Jacket is a brutal vision of the war of Viename and the preparation of young recruits during their training in US Army. With memorables perfomances, great characters and incredible violence,Full Metal Jacket is one of the best Vietname war films ever made.
Matthew Modine was great as Private Joker, one of the center characters of the film.I loved the scence when he made his so called"war face"to Hartman.Pvt Joker is preety smart and a working recruit who becomes a correspondent of the army.Vincent D´Onofrio was fantastic as Gummer Pyle and he was the only one who couldn t the pressure during his preparation in the army, which made him Hartman s primary target.I kinda sympatize with Pyle specially when he blows his brains out.R.Lee Ermey was absolutely amazing as Gunny Hartman and man,he s my favorite character of the movie.Hartman is the kind of man who spent his entire life in the army on creating war machines.Ermey s performance was brilliant and i think he s the best actor of the movie.
Stanley Kubrick was an absolute genious.I mean he really was. After leaving his mark in sci fi with 2001 and A Clockwork Orange, epic with Spartacus,Kubrick delivers his most brillaint war epic.Kubrick will always be remember as one of the greatest filmmakers of the all time.
Full Metal Jacket is one of the greatest war films ever made and one of my personal favorite.A brilliant war epic,Full Metal Jacket is a masterpiece courtesy of the legendary Stanley Kubrick.

Shadow Company's leader, General Peter McAllister, and his right hand man, Mr. Joshua, want Riggs and Murtaugh dead, no matter what the cost.
Review: There s no suprise that i ´m a huge action fan and i adore the classics of the genre. One of my favorites is definetly Lethal Weapon, one of the best buddy cop thrillers ever made.I love Lethal Weapon and i watched all 4 films but the original is definetly my favorite because is such a rollercoaster. With a great cast, direction and a wonderfull but dark story,Lethal Weapon is absolutely explosive.
Mel Gibson delivers an amazing perfomance as Martin Riggs,a police officer with sucide wishes who lost his wife, changing him for the worse. With nothing to lose,Riggs is a danger not only to the badguys but also to his partner,Murtaugh.Gibson is a great fit to the character and he delivers one of his most popular perfomances oh his career.Riggs is so intense and dangerous with a touch of charm and only Gibson could bring to the role.Danny Glover is also fantastic as Roger Murtaugh,a veteran police officer who can´t wait to retire but that won t happen when he teams up with Riggs.who will turn his life upside down.Glover was awesome and he was able to keep up with Gibson.Despite their diferences,Riggs and Murtaugh make a great team and also one of the most popular cop duo off all time.Gary Busey was great as Joshua,McAllister´s henchman and he s of the most badass villains of the series.
Richard Donner s direction is absolutely fantastic and only Donner would make such a awesome movie like he did with Superman. Also we can´t forget Shane Black´s brilliant script, creating a great story with a tone of darkness and realism.Donner and Black created one of the most influential action movies of all time.
Lethal Weapon is a wonderfull classic and a cornerstone of the golden age of action. If you love explosive action and Mel Gibson at his best(so is Danny Glover),than Lethal Weapon is your movie.
Director:John McTiernan Cast:Bruce Willis,Alan Rickman,Bonnie Bedelia,Alexander Godunov Genre:Action,Thriller Year of release:1988 Running Time:131 minutes

He goes to floor 32 and pulls the fire alarm, but the terrorists cancel the alarm and send someone up to kill John. However, he kills the terrorist and steals his machine gun. Now he has to kill the rest of the terrorists and save the hostages before the terrorists get their way.
Review: Die Hard is the movie that changed a genre forever back in 1988 and until today this amazing classic still thrills the audience.I was familiar with Die Hard because i first watched the sequels but i was really forward to see the beggining of the adventures of John McClane and i had that shot back in 2003 when i watched Die Hard for the first time.It really grabed me for the beggining and i couldn t get tired of this amazing film with a lot of action and pure adrenaline.Die Hard is such a spectacular ride that will take you to a 40 store of sheer adventure.
Bruce Willis delivers an oustanding perfomance as John McClane, a New York cop who travels to Los Angeles with the intention of spending a nice and quiet Christmas with his separated wife Holly. When a group of terrorists takes control of Nakatomi Plaza, everybody is held hostage except McClane, who escapes without any suspicion.Finding himself in a complicated situation,John must put his life on the line to save the hostages, kill the terrorists and regain his wife s love.Willis is perfect for the role who made him a superstar because he brings such a realism and vulnerabillity to McClane in a way not even Arnie or Sly couldn t bring.Even in some tough situations,McClane always keeps his sense of humour. After this experience,John McClane will love to spend a nice christmas at home.Alan Rickman is absolutely brilliant as Hans Gruber, the best villian of the series and also of movie history.Rickman doesn t make Gruber the typical villain. He s basically a inteligent and respectfull man who has a purpose:money and he won t allow that anyone gets in his way but the last thing he would expect is John McClane.Alan Rickman is such a great actor and when comes to badguys,he s the best.Bonnie Bedellia was great as Holly Gennero,John s wife. She has a lot of strenght for someone who s not the typical lady in distress.Alexander Godunov is fantastic as Karl,Hans Gruber s relentless hencman. He has one of nastiest death scenes when McClane hangs his neck with a steel chain. That s badass.
John McTiernan is one of the most influential action directors of all time and Die Hard shows McTiernan at his best. His direction was absolutely brilliant on mixing the action, the suspense and the comedy with Michael Kamen s oustanding score as one of the best things of the movie.
Die Hard is one of the greatest and the most influential action movies of all time that is a landmark of the genre. One of my all time action movies of all time along Mad Max:The Road Warrior,Lethal Weapon,Predator and Aliens,Die Hard is a classic adrenaline rush.
Director:Darren Aronosky Cast:Natalie Portman,Vincent Cassel,Mila Kunis,Winona Ryder Genre:Drama Year of release:2010 Running Time:110 minutes
Plot: Nina (Portman) is a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her obsessive former ballerina mother Erica (Hershey) who exerts a suffocating control over her. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side - a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.
Review: When i listened to the huge buzz around Bladck Swan,i got very excited to see it.Black Swan is probably one best flims of the moment adn a potential candidate to the Oscars.I found Black Swan much more then a vision about the world of ballet. It´s a complex and brilliant journey into the dark side of the human personality.
Natalie Portman gives an fantastic perfomance as Nina Sayers,a young and talented ballerina who is chossen to be the Swan Queen of The Swan Lake. But the demands of her trainer, the arrival of a possible replacement and her obssesive mother will take Nina into a journey of insanity an alucination while she struggles against her emerging dark side.Natalie Portman gives the perfomance of a life time, showing once again why she´s one of the best actresses of her generation. Her perfomance was amazing an she has the Oscar guarrantee.Mila Kunis was as great suprise as Lily an she ´s surt of Nina´s dark reflection. The rest of cast including Vincent Cassel,Barbara Hershey and Winona Ryder gave very good perfomances.
Darren Aronosky has done it again and he s in great shape after The Wrestler.Aronosky brings a wonderfull yet disturbing masterpiece very dark and deep like Aronosky knows best.Darren Aronosky makes his best work since Requiem of a Dream an i look forwar for his next projects.
Black Swan is a oustanding and dark cinematic masterpiece and one of the best films of the moment. An incredible phsycological drama,Black Swan shows Natalie Portman in one of the greatest perfomances in film history.

Review: The Untouchables is a incredible film and one of the reasons that atracted to watch this movie is because i love gangster movies and this movie is on the same level as The Godfather,Scarface and Goodfellas. When i was a kid,i got a litlle uncomfortable with the violence of the movie but now i m all grown up,i absolutely loved The Untouchables and the idea of one man has the courage to stand against corruption. The Untouchables is definetly a masterpiece and no other movie of the genre can reach the same level of Brian De Palma s crime epic.
Kevin Costner delivers an amazing perfomance as Elliot Ness, the federal agent who swore taking down Al Capone.Costner is perfect as Ness and proves to manage the role perfectly. What i love about Elliot Ness is the fact that he s a man with principles and rules but he soon realizes that the only way to face Capone is hunting down with no mercy. This is probably Costner s best roles but i m curious to see him in Dances with the Wolfes.Sean Connery gives a memorable perfomance as Jim Malone which earned him his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.Malone becomes not only a father figure but he s also the heart and soul of the group.Connery delivers here one of his best peformances of his career, proving that he s not only the best James Bond,he s one of the greatest actors of all time.Robert DeNiro was phenomenal as the legendary gangster Al Capone.I didn t recognize him but boy he was amazing.DeNiro is one of the greatest actors of all time and he shows here why.Capone is a little different of the other gangsters. He basically looks more a buisness man than a criminal.Well a honest criminal who won t hesitate to take down his enemies. The other actors were amazing including Andy Garcia as George Stone,Charles Martin Smith fantastic as Oscar Wallace and Billy Drago sinister as Frank Nitti,Capone s henchman.
Brian De Palma directs his ultimate film and probably the best movie he has ever done since Scarface.De Palma is a genious and he managed to create a memorable crime epic like he knows best with memorable scenes like the train station gunfire and of course Ennio Morricone s amazing score.
The Untouchables is one of the greatest movies of all time and probably of the 80 s.An american classic that will alwalys live forever as one of the most stunning crime epics of all time and i hope Mr.De Palma delievers more masterpieces like The Untouchables.Classic piece of cinema.

After she finds out the horrible truth behind Freddy's rampage she decides to take action and bring this dream murderer out of dreamland and into the real world where she can send him straight to where he belongs.
Review: There were a few horror films that used to scare the hell out of me and A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of them,in a good way of course.I m a huge fan of the series but i was familiar with the follow ups but i was very interested to watch the original and man, this movie is definetly one of the greatest and most influential classics of the horror genre.A Nightmare on Elm Street will make you think twice before you fall asleep.
Robert Englund deliveres a memorable perfomance as one of the most iconic screen villains of all time:Freddy Krueger, a child killer who hunts his victims in their dreams, killing on the most horrific way possible but this time Freddy may have found a worthly opponent on Nancy Thompson.Robert Englund was born to portray Freddy because he brings such a charisma and a evil sense of humour to the character.Unlike Jason and Michael Myers,Freddy enjoys playing with his victims before killing them.Robert will always be Freddy in my opinion.Heather Langenkamp is fantastic as Nancy Thompson and she s a preety strong character because she decides to face her own fear when her friendes are all killed by Freddy.Johnny Depp makes his first screen appearence as Glen,Nancy s boyfriend.Depp also stars in the most famous death scene of the movie, which will lead him to the brillliant career he has today.
Wes Craven s direction is amazing and he delivers a masterpiece of horror that remains unbeatable after 26 years.A true master,Craven was able to create the kind of horror he used to do and this is one of his best works next to thr Scream series.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the greatest classics of the horror genre and one of the best movies of the 80 s.A groundbreakiing masterpiece,A Nightmare on Elm Street will live on for many years to come.Don t fall asleep or Freddy will come for you.
"Listen and understand! That Terminator is out there. It can t be bargained with,it can t be reasoned with.It doesn t feel pitty or remorse or fear and absolutely will not stop.Ever!Untill you re dead."-Kyle Reese
Director:James Cameron Cast:Arnold Schwarzenegger,Linda Hamilton,Michael Biehn,Paul Winfield Genre:Action,Science Fiction Year of release:1984 Running Time:108 minutes
Plot: In the future, Skynet, a computer system fights a losing war against the humans who built it and who it nearly exterminated. Just before being destroyed, Skynet sends a Terminator back in time to kill Sarah, the mother to be of John Connor, the Leader of the human resistance. The terminator can pass for human, is nearly indestructible, and has only one mission, killing Sarah Connor. One soldier is sent back to protect her from the killing machine. He must find Sarah before the Terminator can carry out it's mission.
Review: In the history of cinema, few films were able to make a huge impact in film history but in the 80 s,one movie changed the way movies are made and that movie is called The Terminator.I was familiar with the series thanks to Terminator 2:Judgement Day and the original used to scare the shit out of me when i was a kid.But years later,i started to enjoy this amazing sci fi classic and althought T2 is more beloved,The Terminator is and will always be one of the greatest movies ever made.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is absolutely memorable as future s deadliest killing machine,The Terminator.Terminator is actually a cyborg surrounded by living tissues created by Skynet who is sent to the year of 1984 with the mission of killing Sarah Connor, the future mother of John Connor, the leader of the human ressistence. The Terminator proves to be indestructible and it will not stop until the mission is complet.Schwarzenegger is perfect of the role because he makes The Terminator someone who looks very dangerous and unstoppable and boy,Arnie is very scary.Ít was kinda cool to see Arnie as the villain and i couldn t imagine another actor playing The Terminator.Michael Biehn is brilliant as Kyle Reese,a young soldier who is sent back through time to protect Sarah from the cyborg.Biehn s perfomance was fantastic because he was able to mix the action with the emotion of the character.I think Michael Biehn is better in Terminator than in Aliens.Linda Hamilton is fantastic as Sarah Connor.I like her because she s not the typical lady in distress but someone who s starts as a normal person who suddenly becomes the victim but in the end she becomes very strong.
James Cameron makes his debut with a bang and boy only Cameron was able to create such an amazing and original movie. The visual effects may not be great but who cares? The most important is the story.Cameron left his mark in cinema as one of the most visionary directors of all time.
The Terminator is one of best movies of the 80 s and a landmark in science fiction. An timeless masterpiece that is worth to watch and gets better everytime.Masterpiece of James Cameron.

You will make my strength your own, and see my life through your eyes, as your life will be seen through mine. The son becomes the father, and the father the son. This is all I... all I can send you, Kal-El".-Jor-El

Lex Luthor, however, has other ideas - to sabotage a pair of nuclear missiles and use them to create an earthquake that will wipe out the California coastline. Superman must race against time and stop a sinister plan by Luthor to eliminate him before millions of innocent people are killed.
Review: I love Superman since i was a kid because he s the greatest super hero of all time and culture phenomenon.I always followed his adventures in the comics but when i watched Superman:The Movie,it made such a impact on myself that made me love Superman.A lot of people believed The Dark Knight is the best comic book movie ever but this is and will be always the greatest super hero movie of all time. With a great story, brilliant cast and oustanding visual effects,Superman:The Movie shows that the legacy of The Man of Steel will never die.
Christopher Reeve delivers a memorable and unforgettable perfomance as Superman/Clark Kent and he s the heart and soul of the movie. You didn t have to say anything because you can look at him and say:he s Superman.Chris s perfomance was amazing because he makes Superman such a believable and strong character and he s also hilarious as Clark Kent.No other actor would pull the character better than Reeve because he s perfect for Superman, not just phisically but vocally too.Christopher Reeve is and will be always be Superman because he made me believe a man can fly.Gene Hackman is fantastic as Lex Luthor,Superman s arch nemesis.Hackman makes Luthor a menancing and a egomaniac villain obcessed on destroying Superman.Margot Kidder was fantastic as Lois Lane. She and Chris have a great chemistry in the relathionship between Clark and Lois and the romance between Lois and Superman.Marlon Brando makes a special appearence as Jor El.Superman s father. His perfomance was amazing for a small apperance.
Richard Donner s direction was amazing and made this movie the classic that it is today. With his brilliance and sensitifity with the story and the characters,Donner made the movie fans would be very proud of.The visual effects are amazing, still impressive until today and Superman s flying scenes are mind-blowing.
Superman:The Movie is one of my all time favorite movies and no other movie of the genre can capture the magic and the soul of this oustanding movie.Sorry Superman Returns but this movie is definetly the best movie of The Man of Steel and will always make people believe a man can really fly.Classic.
Director:George P.Cosmatos Cast:Sylvester Stallone,Richard Crenna,Steven Berkoff,Charles Napier Genre:Action,War Year of release:1985 Riunning Time:95 minutes
Plot: John Rambo who is now in prison after the ruckus he caused in the previous movie, is approached by his former superior, Colonel Trautman. It seems that the government's looking for American MIA's in Vietnam, that are still being held there. Now the man in charge of the mission, Murdock, tells Rambo that his job is to go in, confirm their presence by taking photographs. Rambo senses that Murdock is not what he seems. Rambo goes in takes the photographs, but also takes one of the prisoners with him. When Murdock learns of this, he orders the chopper that's suppose to pick him up to pull out. Rambo is then captured. Obviously Murdock's desire was not to find anyone. Trautman warns him that Rambo's going to come after him. And that's what Rambo's going to do but first he is going after the Vietnamese and Russians, who brutalized him.
Review: In 1982,we witnesed the birth of everybody´s favorite killing machine John Rambo in the excellent action thriller First Blood.Years later,Rambo returns in Rambo:First Blood Part 2,the second installement of the most emblematic action franchises of all time. This is personally my favorite of the series because is one of the grandaddies of the genre.Who ever grew up with Rambo, will enjoy this amazing movie that has everything that action fan loves.Rambo.First Blood 2 is a pure adrenaline rush.
Sylvester Stallone is once again great as John Rambo and i don t care what those morons who don t like action say.Only Stallone could pull Rambo off and i couldn t imagine another actor playing Rambo.Rambo gets out of prision and he s assigned in a mission which he must return to Vietname to locate the american POW s.Betrayed by his own people,Rambo puts his life on the line and unleashes the war against his enemies and rescue the prisioners.Stallone became the icon he is today thanks to Rambo and he will always be our favorite killing machine.Richard Crenna is once again great as Colonel Trautman.Trautman and Rambo s relationship is great because they have a father-son relationship, which is a great thing.Steven Berkoff was fantastic as Podosky, the creepy Russian Colonel. He thinks he can intimidate Rambo but he will learn not to mess with him.Charles Napier was a son of a bitch as Murdock. My favorite scene is when Rambo says:"Murdock,i m coming to get you"and he realizes that he s so fucked.
George P.Cosmatos s direction was fantastic and is great like Ted Kotcheff in the first movie. The action is absolutely explosive and fantastic which makes this movie is timeless classic that will never be beaten.
Rambo:First Blood 2 is one of the greatest action movies ever made of the 80 next to Commando,Die Hard and Predator. This is Sylvester Stallone at his best and my all time favorite Rambo movie.Classic masterpiece of action and recommendable of all Rambo fans.
"If we all reacted the same way, we'd be predictable, and there's always more than one way to view a situation. What's true for the group is also true for the individual. It's simple: Overspecialize, and you breed in weakness. It's slow death.".-Major Motoko Kusanagi
Director:Mamoru Oshii Cast:Atsuko Tanaka,Iemassa Kayumi,Tamioki Oki,Koichi Yamadera Genre:Animation,Science Fiction Year of release:1995 Running Time:85 minutes
Plot: Ghost in the Shell is set in the not-too-distant future, when an unnamed government uses lifelike cyborgs or "enhanced" humans for undercover work. One of the key cyborgs is The Major, Motoko Kusanagi, who resembles a cross between The Terminator and a Playboy centerfold. She finds herself caught up in a tangled web of espionage and counterespionage as she searches for the mysterious superhacker known as "The Puppet Master."
Review: Ghost in the Shell is the kind of movie i ve never seen before.I love Anime since ever and i always believed that the japanese animation is absolutely brilliant.I felt attracted to this movie when i saw the trailer and couple of clips When i first watched Ghost in the Shell,i was blown away and is definetly one of the greatest anime movies ever made and a mind blowing movie experience.Ghost in the Shell is absolutely impressive and people should see movies like this instead of Disney movies.Ghost in the Shell is one of the best sci fi movies ever made next to Blade Runner and The Terminator.
Major Motoko Kusanagi is a member of a elite police force in Tokyo,in the year of 2029.Without knowing, she is a android and with that discovery, she enters in a journey to find the truth about herself and her creation.Kusanagi is the most interesting character of the movie because we can see in her eyes how lost she is ,not to mention how sexy she is too.Bateau is Kusanagi s partner and her friend because he understands that Kusanagi wants to feel human at all cost but she can t escape for what she is.The Puppet Master is the mastermind behind the creation of the artificial bodies and the responsible of Kusanagi s inner torture without knowing what will happen to both of their existence.
Mamoru Oshii s direction is absolutely brilliiant and he was able to make a standard in the anime genre and also was inspired in movies like Blade Runner or The Terminator to create his ultimate masterpiece. The visual effects are amazing, the animation oustanding and the story is brilliant and at the same time very deep and impactfull in a emotional sense.
Ghost in the Shell is the cornerstone of the anime genre and the best of genre next to Akira and Ninja Scroll and an amazing movie experience what sends a important message:Not matter who you are and how feel, never doubt of your own existence.Masterpiece of science fiction and Mamoru Oshii s most legendary movie.
''I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. ''-Bryan Millis

When the girls arrive in Paris they share a cab with a stranger named Peter, and Amanda lets it slip that they are alone in Paris. Using this information an Albanese gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim barely has time to call her father and give him information. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend.
Review: I was looking forward to see Taken because i read some preety good reviews about this movie.I got the chance to see it and i dare to say Taken is one of the best action thrillers i ve ever seen in years. The intensity and brutality of the film blew me away big time and we need more movies like this one instead of girl movies like Twilight.Anyway,Taken is already on my list of my favorite action movies.
Liam Neeson delivers one of his best perfomances ever as Bryan Mills,a retired secret agent who s trying to get closer to his daughter. When his daughter is kidnapped by human smuglers in Paris,Bryan travels to Paris to find his daughter before it s to late and hunt down the responsibles.Mills maybe retired but he s not out of action.Liam Nesson is one of my all time favorite actors and he can play any role but man Liam delivers one of the most bad ass perfomances i ever seen that would put James Bond into a shame. What impressed me a lot is Liam s incredible fighting styles(reminded me of Bourne)which made him even more badass.
Pierre Morel makes his directorial debut and what a debut.Coming under the wing of Luc Besson,Morel proved to be a great action director who was able to mix the action and the emotion of the movie.Watching him work made me very curious to see his new film,From Paris with Love.
Taken is one of the brutal and brilliant action thrillers ever made and that s how a action film is made without CGI or 3D.A great movie with a brilliant perfomance by Liam Neeson,Taken is a movie you should not miss.

Gotham's only hope, it seems, lies in this dark, brooding vigilante. And just how does billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne fit into all of this?
Review: I love Batman since i was a kid and he s one of greatest super heroes of all time next to Superman and Spider-Man.I know Batman better than the people who doesn t read comics or they believe that The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie ever made but for me Tim Burton s oustanding adaptation is a amazing classic and honors the true spirit of Bob Kane s legendary hero.Batman is the most exciting of all Batman movies and a spectacular ride.
Michael Keaton is absolutely fantastic as Batman/Bruce Wayne and he was impressive. His choice was so contorversial that the fans were so enraged because they though he would suck as Batman but they were wrong.Keaton s perfomance was great because he makes Batman a dark, mysterious and tortured character with a touch of madness and realism.Keaton brings a lot of intenisty to Batman and he s such a badass with the bat suit.Michael Keaton portrayed the real Batman of the comics just like Chirstian Bale and he s simply fantastic.Jack Nicholson dominates the entire movie as The Joker and he was perfect because The Joker is the kind of villain we love to hate and laugh too.Nicholson s perfomance was amazing and no matter how Heath Ledger was great in TDK,Nicholson was the most faithfull to the comics.Jack Nicholson is a true showstopper.I love Kim Basinger as Vicky Vale and she was stunning. She and Keaton had a great chemistry specially in the Bat Cave scene when she learns the truth about Bruce Wayne.
Tim Burton brings his unique dark vision to the world of Batman and he was the perfect director on bringing the Caped Crusader to the screen.Burton s one of few directors who has such a great and unique visions in his films and Batman is no exception.Burton started with Batman his amazing career and this is one of his best films along Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow.
Batman shows that the legacy of The Dark Knight is still alive and this classic is no exception. One of my all time favorite movies and of the 80 s,Batman is an oustanding masterpiece reccomendable for all the Batman fans.

Review: All i havet to say is:oh my god, what a movie. This is the most spectacular, brilliant and influential western movie of all time with non-stop action and legendary perfomances.I was never a huge fan of westerns(just my father)but after i watched The Good,The Bad and the Ugly,i got hooked to Spaghetti Westerns, the genre created by the legendary Sergio Leone. The unique style and visual of this movie influenced a lot of directors including Robert Rodriguez with Desperado and Quentin Tarantino with Kill Bill vol 1 and 2 but can never be equal to the master that is Leone.
Clint Eastwood was absolutely amazing in the movie. He took once again his immortal role of The Man With No Name aka Blondie, the most relentess and toughest gunfighter of the West. This is the role that made Eastwood the living legend that he is today, inspiring a lot of bad muthas in the silver screen.Nothing will beat Eastwood´s classic image with the hat, the cigar in the mouth and the gun in hand. Now that´s a badass in my opinion.I loved Lee Van Cleef in the movie as Angel Eyes.I first met him in Escape from New York but he´s a constant presence in the westerns. He will be always remembered as the West´s most toughest villain.Eli Wallach is fantastic as Tuco Ramirez aka the ugly.He was great on making on Tuco such a cool and well intencioned guy who is very greedy until the end.
Sergio Leone is one hell of a director. He has such a unique style of filmmaking which is amazing. He´s the Kubrick of westerns in my opinion. The standoff scene between Blondie,Tuco and Angel Eyes is one of the best scenes of the film and also of cinematic history. That scene is so intense and spetacular and with Ennio Morricone´s amazing score makes it even more amazing. This movie grabed a lot and too bad they don´t make this kind of movies anymore. The Good The Bad and Ugly is the definitve western movie of all time and a landmark of cinematic history just like Raiders of Lost Ark for the adventure movies and Die Hard for the action movies.
The Good,The Bad and the Ugly is no doubt of my mind one of my favorite movies ever and i hope to see more Spaghetti westerns just as spectacular as this amazing masterpiece. The ultimate bad ass movie ever made by the master Sergio Leone.

It isn't long before the commandos start getting killed off and Dutch and a girl from the camp, Anna, are the only people left and fighting for their lives. But what they discover is too shocking for them to imagine. What's been killing them is the Predator, an alien that hunts rare species and make his trophies out of their skulls. And human beings are the new species he has discovered.
Review: Predator is one of the greatest action movies of all time and i have no shame to say it .This classic is the ultimate guy flick and it doesn t waste anytime with romantic scenes. It s pure action from the beggining to the end and at the same thing grabs you every single second.Predator is an oustanding classic that starts like Rambo and ends like Alien. In simple word, this movie is pure adrenaline.
Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn t need introduction because he s the king of action and this movie is the example. His character Dutch is a preety tough guy and a natural leader but he and his men will face a enemy they have never met before:a alien who hunts for sport and feels the thrill of the hunt but Arnie proved that he s not easy man to hunt.Carl Weathers was ok as Dillon, who has a nasty death in the movie.Bill Duke was fantastic as Mac,perhaps the most paranoid of the group and becomes a little crazy when he faces the Predator for the first time.Kevin Peter Hall dominates the entire movie as one of the famous movie creatures of all time:Predator.i love Predator because he s very inteligent and deadly. He s really the ultimate hunter and nobody suits up nicely as Hall did.Oh and he beats the crap of Arnold, kinda shocking actually.
Before setting a standard in the genre with Die Hard,John McTiernan directed nicely this movie, right in the level of James Cameron s Aliens.McTiernan made a very intelligent movie with a interesting plot, leaving his mark as the most influential action directors of all time.
Predator is one of the most badass movies of all time and one of Arnie s best movies along The Terminator,True Lies,Total Recall,T2 and Red Heat. This is one of the movies that will never die and is a lot better than the sequel.Masterpiece of action courtesy of Arnold Schwarzengger.

Kenobi tells Luke of the battle of the rebels against the ruling Empire and the spiritual energy called "The Force." Soon Luke, Kenobi, and a mercenary named Han Solo (Harrison Ford) join forces to rescue Princess Leia from the Empire's mammoth warship, the Death Star, controlled by evil genius Darth Vader.
Review: May 25th,1977 is the date where cinema was made when a tiny sci fi movie became one of the most sucessfull blockbusters of all time.I m taking about Star Wars,an oustanding space adventure that begun one of the greatest sagas of all time.I m not a huge fan of Star Wars but i have a tremendous respect because Star Wars changed not only the movies but also became a culture phenomenom.Since 1977,Star Wars continues to thrill the audience and conquering a new generation of fans and moviegoers.
Mark Hamill delivers a great perfomance as Luke Skywalker,a young boy who enters into a adventure of a life when he´s persuaded to join the battle against the Galactic Empire.Luke also learns to use the Force and starts his path to become a Jedi Knight.Mark was born to be Luke Skywalker because he´s brave and also idealistic character to identify with.I couldn´t imagine anyone on the role because Mark Hamill owns it.Harrison Ford is fantastic as Han Solo, the arrogant and cocky mercenary who joins Luke in the battle.Ford stole the entire movie thanks to his star-studed perfomance as Han Solo, becoming one of the greatest movie stars in the world.Carrie Fisher is amazing as Princess Leia because she´s a very strong female character who can take care of herself.Sir Alec Guiness is oustanding as Obi Wan Kenobi,an older Jedi who teaches and guides Luke with the ways of the Force.Sir Guiness makes Kenobi one of the most memorable character of the series.
George Lucas revolutionized cinema with his amazing space adventure that changed movies forever. He may not be the greatest filmmaker for some people but Lucas was able to create the kind of movie audience love to watch over and over again. The visual effects are amazing and very revolutionary, making Star Wars an oustanding cinematic spectacle.
Star Wars is one of the greatest action-sci fi movies every made and the kind of movie that can never be beaten.Almost 34 years after the release,Star Wars will always continue to amaze the audience and fans many years to come.
"Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day! "-President Thomas Whitmore

Review: I almost had a heart attack when i discovered that Iron Man would be adapted to the silver screen.I was preety excited because Iron Man is one of the coolest super heroes of Marvel and one of my faves next to Captain America,Spider-Man and Wolverine.I was afraid of the idea of being a dissapointement but thank god that didn t happen.Iron Man is the kind of movie i ve dreamed of:has action, comedy, amazing cast and impressive visual effects. It may not be like Spider-Man of X-Men but that doesn t even matter.Iron Man is one of the most spectacular comic book adaptations ever made next to The Dark Knight and Superman:The Movie.
Robert Downey Jr. delivers a brilliant perfomance as Tony Stark aka Iron Man and he was made for the role.Tony Stark is the example of success:buiseness man, playboy billionaire and a brilliant inventor but his fame has it s bad side specially he s kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan.Tony builds a special armour to escape.Affected by the effects his weapons can create,Tony decides to protect the world as the armoured hero Iron Man.Downey is perfect for the role because he brings a lot of charisma and dynamic to Tony Stark in a great way.Thank god for him because he s a brilliant actor and Downey Jr will always be Iron Man.Jeff Brigdes was amazingly evil as Obadiah Stane.Stane is Tony s mentor and family friend who has thirsty for power and creates his own armour to destroy Stark at any cost.Brdges was great as usual and i love this kind of villain.Terrence Howard was ok James Rhodes,Tony s friend.I think Don Cheadle will be better in Iron Man 2.Gwyneth Paltrow was great as Pepper Potts but i would prefer Rachel McAdams in the role but Paltrow was great like usual.
Jon Favreau did a great job on bringing Iron Man to the big screen in a huge way and direction was briliant on making such a fun movie and at same time respecting the comic book.I more excited than never for the sequel.
Iron Man is without doubt one of the best summer blockbuster of 2008 and one of my favorite comic book movies in years.Iron Man is here to stay and i hope they make more movies with the Armoured Avenger.Bring it,Iron Man 2!!!

While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.
Review: Waiting for a movie is not a big deal but when is a new project of James Cameron,12 years is a long time to wait. Was Avatar worth to wait?Absolutely because i was looking forward to see this amazing movie and i was blown away when i saw it in the theaters.I had a good feeling about Avatar and i was right.Using the most advanced techonology on 3D and with a wonderfull story,Avatar is the most innovating cinematic experience since the original Star Wars.
Sam Worthington delivers a great perfomance as Jake Sully,a former US Marine in search for redemption who is sent to the planet Pandora where he takes to the Avatar program so he can infiltrate into the population of the Na´vi.But the mission becomes personal for Jake and he s forced to make a choice between his mission and his conscience.Sam Worthington is one of the rising stars of the moment and he delivers here one of his best perfomances.Actually ,he s lot better here than in Clash of the Titans.Zoe Saldana was fantastic as Neytiri, the female Na´vi who teaches Jake to become one of the tribe and also makes a emotional connection with Jake,I was amazed with Zoe Saldana s perfomance because she really nailed the character perfectly.Stephen Lang was great as Col.Quaritch and he was really badass, remind me a lot of Lee Marvin.Sigourney Weaver was fantastic as Dr.Grace Augustine and it was great to see her reunited once again with Cameron,24 years years after Aliens.
James Cameron has done it again and he still has the magic intact after Titanic.Cameron creates a wonderfull and innovating masterpiece that will never be forgotten and Avatar is his best work ever since The Terminator and Titanic.
Avatar is a contemporary classic and a wonderfull adventure that will live forever.I will go to Pandora many many times and Avatar holds a special place in my heart.Way to go,Cameron and don t make us wait too long for your next project.

Review: Robin Hood is a character that has been around people s imagination.I ve seen the Disney film and the 90 s version with Kevin Costner but i wanted to see in my opinion the best Robin Hood version.I watched by accident and thank god for that. The Adventures of Robin Hood is the most exciting, adventurous and legendary swashbuckling epic of cinema history that became a cornerstone of the genre that would inspire future classics like Raiders of the Lost Ark.If you want to remember the golden age of cinema,Robin Hood is the kind of film you will want to see.
Eroll Flynn delivers a immortal perfomance as Sir Robin of Locksley, loyal servant of King Richard who becomes a renegade after King John takes over the throne.Robin decides a hero to the people and a enemy to the rich but very loyal to his true king.Errol Flynn became one of the most icon movie stars of all time and a action hero of a generation.Flynn is the ultimate Robin Hood thanks to his good looks, charm and charisma to bring the dynamic role to life.Olivia de Havilland was great as Lady Marion,Robin s love interest. It was great to see Robin and Marion together and in love.Basil Rathbone was great as Sir Guy of Gisbourne,King John s right arm.Flynn and Rathbone deliver one of the great swordfights of film history
Michael Curtiz and William Keighley prooved that two heads are better than one and they created a classic that is still alive after 70 years. Both directors created some of the most famous action scenes and the highlights are spotted on the famous swordfight between Robin and Guy.
The Adventures of Robin Hood is one of the greatest action-adventure masterpieces of Hollywood, that earned his spot in the history of cinema.Few movies were able to capture the excitement, adventure and glory of this oustanding swasbucking classic.

Fight promoter Jergens gets things in gear, and Rocky starts training with Mickey. After a lot of training, Rocky is ready for the match, and he wants to prove that he can go the distance with Appolo.
Review: Rocky is a movie that definied a generation of moviegoers around and one of the most beloved classics of movies history.I grew up with the Rocky movies and i ve seen all of them but the original is an oustanding masterpiece that will live on forever.Rocky sends a powerfull message:never give up of your dreams and in 1976,we assisted at the beggining of the greatest underdog story of all time.
Sylvester Stallone delivers an amazing and insipring perfomance as The Italian Stalion Rocky Balboa.Lot of people think that Sly is a bad actor but they re wrong. He s a great actor and the prove is in this movie.Rocky is a small time boxer with a lot of bad luck but he gets the chance of a life when he s challenged by Apollo Creed in a match for the World Heavyweight Title. For Rocky, the important is not the victory but the chance to prove that he can overcome the odds.Sly was born for the role of Rocky Balboa. He brings a lot of heart and soul to the character in a way the makes Rocky the anti hero we all know and love.Talia Shire was great as Adrian, the shy girl Rocky fells in love with. The chemistry between them is fantastic and is very interesting their relationship.Burgesss Meredith was brilliant as Mickey,Rocky s trainer and mentor.Mickey is a boxing veteran for 50 years and he believes that Rocky has a lot of potential to become a great boxer.Carl Weathers was awesome as Apollo Creed. The final fight between Rocky and Apollo is so brutal and intense.
John G.Avildsen s direction was brilliant with a great story created by Sly himself with great and fantastic characters.Avildsen will be known as the responsible for another underdog story:The Karate Kid.
Rocky is one of the greatest movies ever made and of the best movies of the 70 s.A wonderfull and inspiring masterpiece that became a cultural success,Rocky is a movie that will never be forgotten for a long time.
"A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely".-Henry Ducard

Unfortunately for Jake, he is appointed to Alonzo Harris, an officer who has a nasty reputation for not treating victims very well, abusing suspects, handling drugs and other evidence in a questionable matter, and opening fire randomly. So, Jake must watch his own back with Alonzo on this "Training Day".
Review: Training Day is a one explosive movie and that is a fact. When i first saw it,i loved the movie because is so realistic and focus on the rotine of the police officers of LA.The main theme about this movie is about the choice you face in your own and bouderies to cross, even as a cop can be more dangerous than a thug.Either way,Trainining Day is an amazing cop drama right on the line of The French Connection and Dirty Harry.
Denzel Washington delivers an oustanding and electrifying perfomance as the Narcotic Detective Alonzo Harris and this is a Denzel like we have never seen before.I m used to see Denzel as the good guy but he s amazing as the bad guy.Alonzo may be charismatic and cool but he has a side that is very ugly and he s the kind of guy you don t want to mess with.Denzel won his second Oscar thanks to his oustanding role and he deserved it because this is his best perfomance by far.Ethan Hawke is fantastic as Jake Hoyt, the rookie cop who becomes Alonzo s aprentice. What is wonderfull about Ethan s perfomance is that he makes Jake a very nieve ad innocent guy that will find out even the cops are way worse than the criminals and he will soon learn that what he must do whatever it takes to cumply the law.The chemistry between Denzel and Ethan is fantastic because they have a mentor-student relantionship that ends in the worse way.
Antoine Fuqua s direction is brilliant and he manages to capture the intensity and reality of the movie.Fuqua may not be a brilliant director but he did a fantastic job and i hope he makes more good movies as this baby.
Training Day is one of the best cop movies ever made and Denzel Washington s most memorable movie by far.A oustanding cop epic in the same level of Heat and The Departed,Training Day is an amazing masterpiece.

One killer with a sinister, distasteful laughter. The other, a killer with just a plain dirty attitude who holds the badge.
Review: What excited me about the first time i ve heard about Dirty Harry is how memorable the movie is and i wanted to see it so badly because i love Clint Eastwood. When i first saw the movie,it blew me away from the beggining to the end with such a incredible intensity and violence never seen.Dirty Harry is the ultimate cop movie because left it s mark not only in the genre but also in film history, inspiring another cop epics like Lethal Weapon,Heat or Training Day.Almost 40 years later,Dirty Harry is a timeless classic.
Clint Eastwood is absolutely memorable as Inspector Harry Callahan, best known as Dirty Harry.Callahan is a good but ruthless cop who uses unusual methods to take down criminals.Callahan faces a huge challenge when a shooter known as Scorpio is killing innocent people in the city of San Francisco and demanding a ransom, otherwise he will continue to kill until getting his money.Harry decides to hunt down Scorpio in his own way and stop him once and for all.Eastwood became the icon that he is today thanks to his most emblematic role that turned him to a legend.Eastwood s perfomance was brilliant on making Harry a ruthless and tough cop who believes the only way to face criminals is to hunt down.If you cross in Dirty Harry s way,you should ask yourself one question:do you feel lucky, punk?
Don Siegel s direction was absolutely electrifying and explosive that grabs you every minute,Siegel managed to create such a amazing movie with control and a brilliance that can t be matched. The action scenes are legendary, specially when Harry stops a bank robbery,Dirty style.
Dirty Harry is one of the greatest cop movies ever made next to Bullit and The French Connection and one of the greatest movies of the 1970 s.An immortal movie that live on forever and Clint Eastwood s most iconic movie ever made.

But before long, E.T. gets seriously sick, and because of his special connection to Elliot, the young boy suffers, too. The situation gets critical when the task force finally intervenes. By then, all help may already be too late, and there's no alien spaceship in sight.
Review: E.T:The Extraterrestial is one of the beautifull and beloved films of all time that has a special place in the heart of a generation of audiences.I love E.T since i was a kid and i got a chance to rewatch this stunning classic and boy i just want to cry because E.T has a unique magic and brilliance that touches in everybody s heart. The story of a friendship of a young boy and a alien is now part of the cinematic history and ET is the kind of movie that will forever.
Henry Thomas delivers a memorable perfomance as Elliott, the little boy who finds ET and becomes friendly of the beloved alien.Few child actors wouldn t pull off the role like Thomas did because he s just a kid like everybody else but he s very loyal to his friends. The scenes between ET and Elliot are absolutely heartbreaking because we can feel the love and the connection between them.Drew Barrymore was so cute as Gerty,Elliott s little. She was a cutey back then(she still is) and is definetly her most memorable role of her career. The real star of the movie is definetly ET,the most beloved alien of all time.E.T is one of my favorite movie creatures because he has a cuteness and innocence that conquers you immediately. He may be a puppet but E.T has a lot of soul that will make the audience fall in love with him.
Steven Spielberg delivers here one of his greatest movies and the most beloved of his legendary career.Spielberg brings a unique magic and brilliance to the movie that made ET a wonderfull cinematic masterpiece.Only Spielberg would make a beautifull movie like E.T because he s the greatest movie director of all time.
E.T:The Extraterrestial has a special place in my heart and is one of the greatest movies of all time and Spielberg s best movie next to Jaws,Raiders of the Lost Ark,Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan.E.T will live forever and it won t be a magical and beautifull like this classic for a long time.

Over a twenty year period, Andy is able to maintain his sanity and dignity in prison not by physical force but by mental force. His smarts and confidence keep him going and he is able to teach the other prisoners that hope is the ultimate means of survival.
Review: The Shawshank Redemption is one of most beautifull and touching movies i ve ever seen in my life.I got the movie as a present of my French teacher and she said that i will enjoy the movie and she was right. When i first watched The Shawshank Redemption i just wanted to cry because the story touched me a lot and i enjoyed this amazing movie every second.I doubt that will make such a beautifull and inspiring movie as The Shawshank because this movie has a unique magic.
Tim Robbins delivers an amazing and brilliant perfomance as Andy Dufrense, who is accused to murder his wife and his lover.Andy is sentenced to 20 years in the Shawshank prision where he deals with the crooks, murderes and even the prision guards until he gets friendly to Red.What i enjoyed about Tim Robbins is the fact that makes Andy such a interesing person and gives great deepness in someone who is in prison but he never gives up hope and who wants to achieve his own dreams.Robbins s perfomance is worth of an Academy Award but he gets rewarded with his another great perfomance in Mystic River.Morgan Freeman is one of the best actors of all time and he shows here why as Red,an convicted who becomes Andy s best friend.Morgan s perfomance is absolutely great because Red is a guy who lived all of his life in prision that considered his house untill he meets Andy,he gets a new meaning in his own life,The chemistry between Robbins and Freeman is one of the best things of the movie because they are two guys who are trying a new meaning in the their life. The other actors were fantastic including Clancy Brown and Bob Gunton.
Frank Darabont directs this movie with such a brilliance and realism that made this movie a stunning masterpiece. His direction captured the story and the characters in a way that is overwellming.I m really curious about A Green Mile but this Darabont s best movie yet.
The Shawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies of all time and personally one of my all time faves. This movie is so beautifull and inspiring that really touched in my heart and is inspired me to never give up in my dreams.Stunning mastepierce.

Director:Andy and Larry Wachowski Cast:Keanu Reeves,Laurence Fisburne,Carrie Anne Moss,Hugo Weaving Genre:Action,Science Fiction Year of release:1999 Running Time:136 minutes
Plot: Thomas A. Anderson is a man living two lives. By day he is an average computer programmer and by night a malevolent hacker known as Neo. Neo has always questioned his reality but the truth is far beyond his imagination. Neo finds himself targeted by the police when he is contacted by Morpheus, a legendary computer hacker branded a terrorist by the government. Morpheus awakens Neo to the real world, a ravaged wasteland where most of humanity have been captured by a race of machines which live off of their body heat and imprison their minds within an artificial reality known as the Matrix. As a rebel against the machines, Neo must return to the Matrix and confront the agents, super powerful computer programs devoted to snuffing out Neo and the entire human rebellion.
Review: I remember the first time The Matrix came out and everybody was crazy about the movie. When i first saw it,i was blown away with the movie because The Matrix is the kind of movie was never made. The Matrix is one of the impressive and revolutionary movies of all time that set a new standard in movie history. With a interesting plot and mind blowing visual effects,The Matrix is a movie who can watch again and again.
Keanu Reeves delivers a great perfomance as Thomas Anderson aka Neo,a computer programmer who discovers that he lives in a alternative reality known as The Matrix.Recruited by Morpheus,Neo joints the fight against The Matrix and at the same he evolves unusual skills.Keanu was absolutely fantastic in the movie and i think he s the heart and soul of thr picture.Reeves sees in Neo a role that will fit in many years to come.Laurence Fisburne is fantastic as Morpheus, the man who believes that Neo is the One.Morpheus becomes a mentor and a father figure to Neo,which Fisburne can do very well.Carrie Anne Moss was great as Trinity and i haven t seen a strong female character for a long.Trinity is very strong and independent but at the same vulnerable when she fells in love with Neo.Hugo Weaving was brilliiant as Agent Smith and i think he s one of the best screen villains ever.Smith is part of the Matrix protective system with second intentions of dominating and finds in Neo his arch nemesis.
The Wachowski delivers the revolution and future of filmaking. They were impressive with this movie and i hope the bros make another preety good movie like The Matrix. The visual effects are absolutely mind blowing and the action is preety spectacular. Many tried to imitate but they could match the brilliance of The Matrix.
The Matrix is one of the greatest movies ever made and one of my favorite sci fi movie next to Blade Runner and The Terminator. The Matrix will always be known as the movie who opens the doors to a new generation of movies.
"I just want to tell you, I'm the one who was supposed to take care of everything. I'm the one who was supposed to make everything okay for everybody. It just didn't work out like that. And I left. I left you. You never did anything wrong. I used to try to forget about you. I used to try to pretend that you didn't exist, but I can't. You're my girl. You're my little girl. And now, I'm an old broken down piece of meat... and I'm alone. And I deserve to be all alone. I just don't want you to hate me".-Randy Robinson

Review: One of the things that excited me about The Wrestler is i m a huge wrestling fan and after i read positvie reviews about this movie,i decided to see it and my god what a movie! The Wrestler is such a great movie with a lot of heart and soul and we haven t seen this kind of movies since Rocky. The Wrestler is an oustanding masterpiece with a great story about overcoming the odds and following our dreams.
Mickey Rourke delivers an amazing perfomance as Randy"The Ram"Robinson and this the role that ressurected Rourke s career with a bang.Randy used to be one of the greatest wrestlers of the 80 s.20 years later,Randy works in a supermarket and wrestles in the third category wrestling. After having a heart attack,Randy tries to get closer to his daughter and starts a relationship with a stripper. But his desire for wrestling grows more and Randy decides to return to the ring and fight one more time.I was never a fan of Mickey Rourke but he was impressive in this movie because his character is someone who lost everything but he gets a second chance.A memorable perfomance by Rourke.Marisa Tomei was fantastic as Pam Cassidy, the stripper and single mom who gets affected to Randy.Tomei s perfomance was oustanding and her chemistry with Rourke is great because they re two persons who never give up on hope.
Darren Aronofsky s direction is amazing and he shows with this movie why he s one of the most talented directors of his generation.Aronosfksy directs mastrefully this movie with a touch of a genious but Rourke s incredible perfomance makes the movie worth to watch.
The Wrestler is an oustanding masterpiece and of the greatest movies of 2008 next to The Dark Knight,Slumdog Milionaire and Rachel Getting Married. The Wrestler is a great example of pure cinema.Masterpiece.

Review: Reservoir Dogs is without doubt of my mind one of the greatest movies i ve ever and is an oustanding masterpiece.I wasn t sure if i would like it as i much i love Pulp Fiction but this movie is amazing and it didn t dissapoint me at all.The cast is amazing and the script was welll written. If it wasn t for Reservoir Dogs,it wouldn t have Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill in my opinion. This movie revealed for the first time the genius of director Quentin Tarantino, one of the greatest directors of all time.
Let s go to the cast.Harvey Keitel was fantastic as Mr.White, which is the most experienced of the gang. His perfomance was amazing and boy Keitel was a complete badass.I may not seen a lot of his movies but i enjoyed him in this one.Michael Madsen is absolutely badass as Mr.Blonde,my favorite character of the movie. He s very relentless and he doesn t care who kills.Madsen is so cool in the movie as Blondie.Steve Buscemi wasn t a faggot as Mr.Pink.He was fantastic and i love in end of the movie when he gets away with the diamonds. That was preety smart.Tim Roth was alright as Mr.Orange but he was bleeding as pig since the beggining of the movie.
Quentin Tarantino makes a brillaint debut with Dogs, opening the doors for a long and promising career. What i love about his movies is the inteligence and brilliance of the stories and the fascinating characters.Tarantino is simply amazing and every movie he makes is a masterpiece.
Reservoir Dogs is one of the best movies of the 90 s and of all time.It may not be like Pulp Fiction but Reservoir Dogs is a one bad motherfucking movie. In a nice way.

Review: I wasn t exacly a appreciator of musicals but i do respect because is one of the most important genres of cineam history and the most iconic and memorable of the films is Singin´in the Rain.I actually was very curious to see it and wow,i absolutely loved Singin´in the Rain.I think this movie embodies the spirit of the golden age of cinema.Singin´in the Rain is the kind of movie that will live forever in the memory of the moviegoers who enjoy a good classic.
Gene Kelly delivers one of the most memorable perfomances of all time as Don Lockwood,an actor who has the chance to work in a musical but he must do it with his annoying on screen partner Lina Lamont.Don has the chance to show his singing and dancing skills, giving the audience exacly what they want.Gene Kelly will always be remembered as one of the most iconic actors of Hollywood and he sure left his mark thanks to Singin´s in the Rain.Kelly combined his wonderfull acting skills with his singing and dancing skills, giving a wonderfull magic.Debbie Reynolds was also great as Kathy Selden,a young girl who has the chance to work in the industry and becomes Don s true love interest.I enjoyed her acting and singing. She was divine.Jean Hagen was so funny as the annoying Lina Lamont. She is kinda of the dumb actress without talent but she nailed the role nicely.
Gene Kelly co-directed this classic with Stanley Donen, delivering one of the greatest classics of all time with wonderfull sequences specially the iconic scene where Kelly dances and sings in the rain, hlding a special places of classics moments of cinema history.
Singin´in the Rain is absolutely amazing and i will watch more classics like this movie.A wonderfull, funny and touching masterpiece,Singin´in the Rain is one of the greatest musicals of all time.

Review: I was very interestd to see American Pshyco because it looked to be a very interesting film.Based on a novel written by Bret Easton Ellis,American Pshyco suprised and shocked me in a good a good way of course. This dark and disturbing thriller is already one of my favorite movies.
Christian Bale delivers one of his best and brilliant perfomances as Patrick Bateman,a young executive who works and lives in New York.Bateman may be very handsome and sophisticated but he also has his dark side by kiling people for pleasure. But will Bateman being influenced by his desire for blood?Christian Bale is one of the best actors of his generation on portraying dark but interesting role adn Bateman is the role that made his talented very appreciated.Bateman is not a badguy. In fact,he s very disturbed because he lives in a fake world.During the picture,Bateman goes more deeper and deeper to hell and he may not come back to the real world.Bale is phenomenal and he proved it with The Maquinist,Batman and The Fighter.
Mary Harron did a great job on making this film and she was able to capture the dark tone of the novel.Harron created a great dark thriller, exploring the dark side of a human being, leading him to extreme actions.
American Phsyco is a preety well done dark thriller that will grab from the beggining to the end.It s one of my favorite films and also we see Christian Bale at his best.Win the Oscar because you deserve it,Bale.

The confrontation sparks off Tetsuo's supernatural power leading to bloody death, a coup attempt and the final battle in Tokyo Olympiad where Akira's secrets were buried 30 years ago.
Review: I wanted to see Akira for a very long time because i always felt attracted by the visual and the film itself.Based on the acclaimed Manga created by Katsuhiro Otomo,Akira is an oustanding anime masterpierce that made a huge impact when it first premiered in 1988.In other words,it s one of the most brilliant films ever made.
Set in 2019,Neo Tokyo, the story focus on Kaneda and Tetsuo, two childhood friends and members of a cycle street gang.Suddenly,Tetsuo suffers an strange accident and is held by the Army but at same time,Tetsuo gains a unusual but destructive power enough to destroy the planet.Kaneda is forced to stop Tetsuo and also to find Akira,a mysterious being much more powerfull than Tetsuo himself. The characters are great an very deep specially Tetsuo because he s the most insane and torture of all characters.
Katsuhiro Otomo created an oustanding anime classic just like he did with the Manga book.Otomo is a master because he was able such a great movie that influenced some filmmakers like Steven Spielberg or James Cameron and became a cult classic that stays strong since the release.
Akira is a masterpiece of anime and my favorite next to Ghost in the Shell. An wonderfulll classic of japanimation,Akira still holds its place in cinema history, continuing to amaze future audiences

Together, this crew will have an adventure in the final frontier where the old legend is altered forever even as the new version of it is just beginning.
Review: I was never a huge fan of Star Trek because i didn t think it was a interesting saga like Star Wars is so my expetations were kind of low. When the movie was on theaters,i decided to see it and oh my god,i was so impressed about this movie. This new version of Gene Rodenberry s space saga is definetly one of the best movies i ve seen in years. It s such a fun rollercoaster ride i ve missed in years and in my opinion, this is how Star Trek should be.Star Trek is such a exciting, heartpouding and spectacular adventure that you will enjoy, doesn t matter if you re a fan or not.
Chirs Pine delivers a fantastic perfomance as James T.Kirk, the recless and brash Iowa farm boy who is challenged by Cpt.Pike to enlist the prestigious Starfleet academy. Althought his arrogant attitude,Kirk realizes that it s his destiny to become the captain of Enterprise.Chris Pine was a excellent choice to portray William Shatner s iconic role because he has the attitude, charsima and realism to bring Kirk to life.I hope to see more of Chris because he s a preety good actor with the potential to become the new Harrison Ford.Zachary Quinto is absolutely fantastic as Spock.Born half-human,half vulcan,Spock is the most tortured character because he s divided between the planet who rejects him and Starfleet but he s able to find his own path.Quinto was great because he does look like Spock and his perfomance was brilliant, bringing a raw intensity and emotion into the character.Eric Bana was great as Nero, the phsycothic Romulan who wants to destroy the Federation planets, unless the Enterprise crew is able to stop him.I think Nero is one of the villains next to Khan.It s also great to see Leonard Nimoy back as the original Spock.I always like Nimoy ands he s the heart and soul of the saga.
JJ Abrams has done it again and he sucessfully brings Star Trek back from the ashes but at the same time takes it to a whole new direction.Abrams bring the sense of adventure back to the movie and he delivers one of the best movies efforts he has ever done.I can t to see more movies of this genious.
Star Trek is one of the greatest movies of 2009 and a spectacular action blockbuster that will please the audience many years to come.I can t wait for the next adventures of Kirk,Spock and the rest of the Enterprise crew in 2012.

I will be at the South Street Seaport everyday at mid-day, when the sun is highest in the sky. If you are out there... if anyone is out there... I can provide food, I can provide shelter, I can provide security. If there's anybody out there... anybody... please. You are not alone".-Robert Neville

Review: I was deadly excited to see I am Legend because, well,i m a huge Will Smith fan and when i first saw the trailer,it looked a great movie and like usual,i was right.I Am Legend is such a great movie and the brilliant vision of a apocalyptic New York reminded me a little of Escape From New York and Mad Max trilogy but what attracted me more was the story of a man who is the last survivor of Earth and his crusade for saving the planet of a deadly virus.I Am Legend is fantastic science fiction and i m sure that will be next to other great sci fi movies like Blade Runner or Terminator.
Will Smith delivers a fantastic perfomance as Robert Neville, the last man on Earth.Every movie with Big Will is a must see and Legend is no exception.Neville is a military scientist who survived to the virus that killed the population of the planet, losing also his wife and daughter during the process. In a apocalyptic New York,Neville tries to have a normal life with his dog Sam and at the same time looks for more survivors but suddenly he realizes that he s being chased by the mutants created by the virus. In a race against time,Neville must find a way to defeat the mutants and save the planet. Will was a great choice for Neville because he s a man who wants for repair the mistake he did and we can feel his loneliness and his pain. This is in my opinion Will s greatest perfomance because not only he has his usual sense of humour but at the same time he can portray dramatic roles.
Francis Lawrence s direction impressed me a lot because i didn t know that he would pull it off that nicely.I think he did a amazing job and i hope he makes more good movie like this baby. What Ridley Scott did with Alien and Blade Runner and Jim Cameron with Terminator,Lawrence delivers a great action sci fi epic at it s best.
I Am Legend is one of the best movies of 2007 and Will Smith s best movie next Independence and Men in Black.A great movie with a touching story,I Am Legend is definelty a great movie and is on my list of my favorite science fiction films.Vintage Will Smith.

As the relentless executioners advance and the conspiring young girl's plans are set in motion, their paths will cross for a fateful evening that will shake the very annals of history.
Review: I was very excited for Inglorious Basterds because it´s Tarantino ´s oldest project but he put it on hold to make Kill Bill.Couple of years later,Tarantino ´s long awaited war epic comes to life and man,it was worth to wait.Inglorious Basterds is such a great movie with all Tarantino elements:hardcore violence, memorable characters and brilliant dialogues.Inglorious Basterds is totally vintage Tarantino.
Brad Pitt is fantastic as LT.Aldo Raine, the leader of a guerrilha fighting team known as The Basterds who are on a mission of killing nazis during WW2.The Basterds become Hitler´s biggest headeche.Brad Pitt nailed perfectly the role because he looked like Clark Cable or Marlon Brando but he was a great choice to play Aldo.Christoph Waltz is oustanding as Hans Landa, better known as The Jew Hunter.Landa is also responsible for killing Shossana´s family.Christoph Waltz is definetly one of the biggest suprises of the film and he created one of the most fascinating and sadistic villains of all time next to Heath Ledger´s Joker.Waltz earned the Oscar thanks to his brilliant perfomance.Diane Kruger was great as Bridget von Hammersmark, the german actress who is a spy in the service of the british.Kruger impresses me a lot in each movie she makes.Melanie Laurent is another big suprise as Shossana,a young woman who uses a cinema to achive her revenge against the nazis.
Quentin Tarantino does it again and collects another masterpiece.Using his trademark filmmaking with Leone´s spaghetti shots,Tarantino created the war epic he always wanted.Inglorious Basterds is one of the his best films next to Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill.
Inglorious Basterds is one of the best films of decade and a an oustanding masterpiece. If you love Quentin Tarantino, you will certainly enjoy this amazing war epic, courtesy of Mr.Tarantino.

Director:Russell Mulcahy Cast:Christopher Lambert,Sean Connery,Roxanne Hart,Clancy Brown Genre:Action,Fantasy Year of Release:1986 Running Time:110 minutes
Plot: Among humans for centuries, an immortal specie existed. Connor MacLeod is a member of this specie. Unaware of his powers, he is unable to explain his revival after his apparent death in a clan-fight in the 15th century. This convinces the superstitious villagers to stone him and drive him out of the village. He then encounters another one of his kind, Ramirez, who indoctrinates him in the ways of the immortals. The only way these "immortals" can die is by having their heads cut off. Given the credo that there can only be one, you can imagine a race where everyone tries to chop everyone else's head off. Of course, in such a race, there'll be factions, and MacLeod and Ramirez are one side battling the forces of evil immortals who want to take over the planet and wreak destruction on it.
Review: I m very familiar to the Highlander series since i was a kid and i think is a fascinating saga.I ve seen the terrible sequels and even the TV show but nothing can match with the original and the best of all Highlander installement.I love this movie because is so spectacular and amazing.Highlander is such a legendary movie and there can be only one:the original.
Christopher Lambert is fantastic and unforgettable as Conner MacLeod, the original Highlander.Conner MacLeod has been alive for 500 years and he cannot die because he s immortal. We assist his training for the battle of the Prize to his final battle against Kurgan and in the end, there can be only one.Lambert is a perfect for Conner McLeod because he s a mysterious and tortured man haunted by his gift and past but he s ready to make his future a lot better.Christopher Lambert will always the best of the Highlanders.Sean Connery is great as Ramirez,Conner s mentor and friend and Sir Connery was great like usual.Unfortunately,Ramirez is killed by Kurgan, which is a shame.Clancy Brown is so badass as Kurgan and he s now one of my favorite villains.Kurgan does all what we love in a badguy:cuts guys head off, rapes innocent women, drives a car like a maniac and disrespects and nuns.Kurgan is a one bad mutha and his goal is to kill McLeod and rule the world.
Russell Mulcahy s direction made the movie the classic and this the only decent movie he has ever done sadly. One of the best things of the movie is the soundtrack by Queen and Freddy Mercury s legendary band makes this movie worth to watch with their great songs.
Highlander is a stunning classic of the 80 s and a great cult film.Lot better than the dreadfull sequels, there can only one and it s the original.Classic of the 80 s.

Review: Total Recall is the kind of movie i watched over and over again while growing up.I used to watch this movie when i was a kid.Although the hardcore violence,Total Recall is such an amazing film with a brilliant plot.I dare to say it s one of the best action-sci fi movies ever made and gets better everytime i watch it.
Arnold Schwazenegger delivers a great perfomance as Douglas Quaid,a simple civl worker who is haunted by memories of planet Mars.Decided to discover the reason of this dreams,Doug finds out that he s actually a secret agent from Mars which memory was erased by the agency.Schwarzenegger s perfomance was brilliant and i dare to say he delivers his best role yet next to The Temrinator on portraying a ordinary man with unusual skills.Rachel Ticotin was great as Melina,Quaid s former lover who wa able to be in the same level of the hero.Michael Ironside was fantastic as Ricther,Cohaagen s henchman.Ritcher is kind of a losse cannon who won t stop at nothing to kill Quaid.Sharon Stone was sooo hot as Lori. Before becoming miss hot legs in Basic Instinct, she left her mark with her first villain role.
Paul Verhoeven does it again with Total Recall after his sucessfull american incursion with Robocop.Verhoeven knows how to make such a great with incredible violence and realism with a interesting.I think Total Recall is his best movie ever next to Robocop and Basic Instinct.
Total Recall is one of the best action-sci fi ever made and such a timeless classic aswell.Total Recall is one of the my favorite Schwarzengger movies next to The Terminator and Predator.A must see.
Director:Jim Henson Cast:David Bowie,Jennifer Connely,Brian Henson,Ron Mueck Genre:Fantasy Year of Release:1986 Running Time:101 minutes
Plot: Young Sarah is left home alone by her parents and she has to babysit her little brother Toby. But the baby keeps crying and Sarah, while telling him a story to make him sleep, inadvertently conjures from a fantasy world the Goblin King who steals the child and brings him to his castle in the middle of a labyrinth. Sarah has to rescue him before midnight, or the baby will became a goblin...
Review: When i was looking for some movies in a store, there was one that attracted me a lot:Labyrinth,a fantasy adventure released in the 80´s but it didn´t become sucessfull back then.I like fantasy movies and Labyrinth is a preety good.I loved the story and the universe and this is the kind of movie that fascinates the kid inside of us.That´s what happened to me when i watched Labyrinth and now is a favourite of mine.Prouflu,of course.
David Bowie is delightfull as Jareth, the Goblin King who will give young Sarah a very hard task:entering the Labyrinth and find his baby brother before midnight.Bowie is a music legend but i was very impressed by his acting skills. The Goblin King isn´t the typical villain.Well,he´s good-mooded villain that no one would resist.Jennifer Connely was great as Sarah, the young girl who has a very bored weekend by taking care of his baby brother but she gets in a adventure in the labyrinth,a unusual place with unsual characters.Connely was only 15 years but she was giving signs of the great actress she is now.I had a crush on her and i still do but back then she was incredibly beautifull and gave a decent perfomance as Sarah.
Jim Henson, the father of The Muppets, delivers a wonderfull fantasy adventure like i ve never seen before, thanks to a little help of executive producer George Lucas.Henson ´s directing was great and he used his Muppet magic to create an unique fairy tale adventure for all ages.
Labyrinth is a fantastic fantasy adventure that is a cult classic today. The kind of movie i would watch with kids(i will show them, without doubt),Labyrinth will continue to fascinate the kid in me may years to come.
"Please don't lie to me, Ms. Rain! Love ain't done nothing for me... but beat me... rape me... call me an animal! Make me feel worthless! Make me sick! "! -Claireece"Precious"Jones
Director:Lee Daniels Cast:Gabourey Sidibe,Monique,Paula Patton,Mariah Carey Genre:Drama Year of Release:2009 Running Time:109 minutes
Plot: In 1987, obese, illiterate, black 16-year-old Claireece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey Sidibe) lives in the New York City neighborhood of Harlem with her dysfunctional family; she has been raped and impregnated twice by her father, Carl, and suffers constant physical and mental abuse from her unemployed mother, Mary (Mo'Nique). The family resides in a Section 8 tenement and subsists on welfare. Her first child, known only as "Mongo" (short for "Mongoloid"), has Down Syndrome and is being cared for by Precious's grandmother.
Review: When i first heard of Precious,i felt that is a very special movie, specially for the good reviews i heard about the movie.I got the chance to watch the movie this weekend and it blew me away big time.Precious is the kind of movie people can really relate to because it focus in reality and the difficulties the teenage mothers live on but they never give up õn their dreams.I think Precious is a wonderfull and touching that should not be missed by the fans of real cinema.
Gabourey Sidibe delivers an phenomenal perfomance as Claireece"Precious"Jones and what a perfomance! She s extremely talented and the Oscar nomination for Best Actress is well deserved.Clareece is a 16 year old girl who was rapped by own father and rejected by her mother but she gets a new goal in her life when she enters in a special school for teenage mothers. What i enjoyed about Precious is something very determined to have a good life for herself and his children.Gabourey is one of the biggest revelation of this year and i hope she makes more good roles because she deverves it.Mo´Nique s perfomance as Precious s mom,Mary was absolutely amazing and she was impressive.I m used to see her in comic roles but she is a huge suprise and a strong contender for the Oscars.Mary is such a a bitch because she treats Precious like garbage and she spends her time on watching TV and smoking cigarretes but she s a woman who suffered a lot and wants the best for her family.Mariah Carey is another suprise in the movie as Miss Weiss, the social assistant who helps Precious.Mariah was so different in the movie who helped her perfomance becoming very good and made me forget the Glitter crap.
Lee Daniels s direction was amazing and he captured and realism and the magic of the movie with a great script based on the novel Push. What makes the movie great is the wonderfull story that captures the emotional premisse of the picture.
Precious is an oustanding masterpiece and one of the greatest movies of 2009 next to Avatat,The Hurt Locker,Inglorious Basterds and Star Trek. This is a movie that shouldn t be missed.

Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!"-The Wizard

Review: Conan is no strange to pop culture because he´s one of the most emblematic characters of literature and he s ´around since 1930´s.Reason enough for being adapted to the sliver screen with great sucess.I used to watch Conan The Barbarian as a kid and is one of my favorite chlidhood movies. An spectacular epic adventure,Conan The Barbarian is a wonderfull adaptation of Robert E.Howard´s legendary creation.
Arnold Schwarzengger delivers a starstuded perfomance as Conan,a warrior from Cimeria who as a boy, witnessed the murder of his parents and being taken as a slave. For years,Conan trained to become a skilled swordsman and now free,he decides to confront the Seth cult to avenge his parents. Before his career explosion in 1984 with The Terminator,Schwarzenegger left his mark on portraying the invincible barbarian warrior.Arnold makes Conan a character of his own, bringing raw power and intensity.Arnold was born to be Conan.James Earl Jones was fantastic as Thulsa Doom, the leader of Seth cult and the responsible for Conan´s parents death.Earl Jones is phenomenal and no wonder he has one of the best careers in movies.
John Milius did a fantastic job as the director and he really captured the story and reality.Milius delivered a fantastic adventure epic full of intensity with bloody gore fight scenes but still the type of film we don ´t see nowadays.
Conan The Barbarian is a great epic adventure and a fantastic classic of the 80´s.A rare example of a sucess transistion from the comics to the silver screen.A great movie that will never be forgotten.

Review: I ve heard about TRON for a long time but i knew very little about it.I did some research that made me very interested to see the film. For some people,TRON is kinda weird but i don´t think so.I think it´s one of the extraordinary films ever made, althought the film didn´t grab the audience in 1982.28 years later,TRON gained a loyal legion of fans ,becoming of the greatest classics of science fiction.
Jeff Brigdes delivers a great perfomance as Kevin Flynn,a computer hacker and owner of a arcade room who enters into the system of his ol company.Suddenly,Flynn is transported into the Grid,a virtual world ruled by The Master Control. Now,Flynn must survive in the fascinating but dangerous Grid and return to reality.Bridges was great in the film because he brings coolness and humour into the character, making the film very interesting to watch.I think it´s Brigdes´s most cool role, who would repeat in the sequel Tron:Legacy.Bruce Boxleitner was also great as Alan Bradley also known as TRON,the program who fights against the Master Control to release the Grid.He was very good in the role and one of the most important elements of the saga.David Warner was brilliant as Ed Dillinger, the current chairman of ENCOM who also is The Master Control´s henchman and puppet.
Steven Lisberger created one of the most revolutionary films of all time, becoming part of pop culture. His directing was great, mixing for the first time live action with computer animation. He was great because he ´s the father of TRON.The visual effects were amazing that can compete with Star Wars anytime.
TRON is a great movie and one of the most impressive films of the 80.An adventure like you ´ve never seen before,TRON is without doubt a phenomenal cult classic of science fiction.
