Meanwhile,Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden,by far the most influential character ever made,and the strongest performance by Brad Pitt in his entire career.Tyler Durden is madly took my attention from the very second he appeared in my screen.Along with that buff body,that flair,that enormous appeal,and that solid charisma,Brad Pitt IS Tyler Durden.And when an actor transformed entirely to the character they preserved,that's what so called a masterpiece.Brad Pitt exhibited a massive charm and such an acting quality.A brilliant performance delivered by Brad Pitt.
And third,we can't forget the rests of the cast,Helena Bonham Carter,as the eccentric Marla Singer,also Meat Loaf,and Jared Leto,are equally breathtaking and no less disturbing.And David Fincher,for his brilliant directing,and thanks to him,for brought this brilliant piece of revolution to this earth,which rocks extremely hard.
So,prepare your seat and fasten your seat belt,and enjoy the 2 hours that maybe your most surreal "orgasm" you may have with a movie!

From the second,Baz Luhrmann launched the dazzling Moulin Rouge,and MTV-ish Romeo+Juliet,I can't find another director that literally describe my taste of movie except him.And after Australia's buzz surfaced,Australia officially became my most anticipated movie of 2008,more than The Dark Knight and Revolutionary Road combined.And the stake is high up in the air.
So,what happened?A powerful epic that previewing Australia's outback beauty,Luhrmann's style,and an exquisite acting ensemble,juiced into 5 moving storyline (Murder case,racism,conspiracy,love,and war).
As for me,Australia had already fulfill what I expected,epic set,romantic story,and larger-than-life presentation of Baz Luhrmann creativity.And again,for 3 hours,Luhrmann successfully amazed me,and adressing this movie and it's complication into a full stop.And I'll be damned if Australia did not make the cut for this year Oscar,at least,for it's technical superiority.

Burton's theatrical drawing on the old London is the most breathtaking one,after Luhrman's Moulin Rouge.Burton personified London into this utterly dark industrial vibe-town,along with Burton's essential style,which means magnificent cinematography,and super-lavish production set.
With Sweeney Todd,Tim Burton has officially conquered the world of musical,with his own impersonation.Sweeney Todd,played by Johnny Depp,is an essential Tim Burton character.Dark,gritty,and haunting.And with Depp's touch,Sweeney Todd is never running out of his charisma.Depp's astounding impersonation of Todd,goes along with the supporting casts.
Helena Bonham-Carter,as Mrs.Lovett,in the other hand,is a cleansweep,emphatizing Lovett with a really dark vibe to it.Along with Sacha Baron Cohen and Alan Rickman,they make a solid supporting lineup.
With archievements from every degree,is it too excessive to say that Sweeney Todd is the best musical of all time?Probably yes.But for sure,Burton has served us the musical masterpiece that we've been waiting for,a very dark masterwork,that set a musical to the most haunting.A haunting,and extremely terrorizing musical yet a larger than life work of art for it's extraordinary visual wonderment,and it's dazzling numbers.

Renee Zellweger,as Roxie Hart,sparkles with her gigantic dazzling star persona,ressurected Roxie Hart character to the sexiest,and the most glamorous as it can be.
Catherine Zeta-Jones,as Velma Kelly,undoubtly a surefire shot for the Oscar that year,she kicked away her pregnant woman status,and become this embodiment of a mean-singer-murderer,with a marvelous stage presence and perfect timing.
And all the supporting casts got their own moment,Queen latifah got her moment while singing "When You're Good to Mama",John C.Reily with his comic-adaptation of "Mr.Cellophane".Richard Gere is also coming along the way,he delivered spectacular moments,as well as his spectacular acting.
Chicago rapidly turned the screen into a full-conformity of a stylish and elegant Broadway theatre,with almost 15 stunning set changes for every music numbers,beautifully.Added to his resume,Rob Marshall successfully packed Chicago with all the dazzling cut and masterclass camera work.
Chicago is a mild entertainment,with it's spectacular numbers,marvelous acting resemblance,and exceptional story-telling.Making it the most sensational musical ever,and one of my most best movie ever.

Big Fish is is an embodiment of man's life story,whether fact or fiction.With magical illumination spread along the way,but in the end,all we got to do,is just believe.Big Fish is a movie larger than the story itself,a standing ovation for Burton and his amazing talents behind or in front-of the camera.

As well as many moments were delivered,Son of Rambow also remind us about a simple tales whereabouts a little kids who simply addicted to the movie "Rambo", made a spoof of Rambo movie itself.And in this times where kids love to spend their time with High School Musical and Hannah Montana, Son of Rambow was considered as a bloody diamond based on the important messages about family and friendship also the way it's portraying the childhood in the most delicate way. Yes,Son of Rambow is a great portrayal about childhood etc.But what's greater is how Garth Jennings made this film utterly beliavable,what the critics called,"At least it's better than what Sylvester Stallone's doing now." The two lead actors were completely adorable and insanely genius,and the total of the two performances sum up better than what Stallone did in all Rambo movies,as for me. So what not to love about this movie. The acting is no less breathtaking,Leonardo DiCaprio,who plays Billy Costigan,is in his best performance in a long while,Matt Damon,who plays Colin Sullivan also balanced Leonardo's strong performance as the bad guy,meanwhile,is it really appropriate to question Jack Nicholson himself in this movie?Again,a role to prove the world that he's a master-class acting machine,this time as,Frank Costello,an unpredictable mafia-boss,even in his brightest smile.Wahlberg,in his Oscar-nominated role,always be the SCENESTEALER everytime he appears in the screen,and the other one that barely took my attention is Vera Farmiga,who nailed her performance as both Sullivan's and Costigan's love interest.
Beside the breathtaking acting ensemble,The Departed also has enough tension to rock your nerves,grandly twisted and definitely a modern-day crime classic.
Martin Scorsese re-declared his place in the tight-race of world's greatest film-maker,and we,the audience,have a blast after leaving the cinema!

For the fan,it certainly was a magnificent treat from the TV show,and for the non-believer,it still clearly a perfect romantic comedy. 1The script,hands down.Michael Patrick King is actually has a story to tell.He's throwing a grand homage to the TV show,by writing it's inescapable great script,and few brilliant lines.The script was a knock-out hit from the movie,certainly. 2In terms of story development,SATC:The Movie was a complete reminiscing experience back in the old days.The story was utterly fresh and the narrative by Sarah Jessica Parker is still remains adorable and heartwarming. 3What more entertaining for the fans than watching all four girls re-team in one frame again?Despite all the exhaustion it took to bring back all the girls, Carrie,Miranda,Charlotte,and Samantha are back in their best shape ever.With Patricia Field and New York's Backdrop,I can't imagine anything that more delicious. 4Watching SEX & The City : The Movie is like watching 3 episodes back to back,which is the best way to entertain fans.What's more exciting than see 3 episodes,with large screen and dolby surround sound. and Oddly Mindblowing.The Green Mile,therefore,is a long journey,hours of a magical sphere and smart-plotted story,and for 3 hours-duration,every second in this movie counts as a hit. As the first second goes,the story of Green Mile has already strike a quite hit.Well-plotted,magically-twisted,and beautifully written.Darabont has turned this piece from Stephen King down,brought the script into a 3-hours long movie where magic do realize. Despite Tom Hanks Oscar's snub,which disturbed me so bad while I was watching this movie because it's like every actors in Green Mile coulda shoulda woulda win an oscar statuettes,the one that should get an extreme attention is Michael Clarke Duncan,who transformed his character into a non-other than a living-miracle, truly beautifully acted and pure acting masterpiece. Sean Penn,brought this poetry,with vision,put up such a story of heroic adventure in search of life,in the deepest way it could possibly be.Through Hirsch,Penn established this journey as our personal journey to Alaska.
Emile Hirsch,as McCandless,is a potrait of an idealist,denying the existence of humankind and it's civilization.Hirsch,is brought the character alive,to the core.A brilliant performance.
Into The Wild is a grand embodiment of whoever they want to portrait,and your ultimate ultimate journey to freedom.Into The Wild,actually,is the best movie of 2008,and unfortunately,why no one noticing?
