The Girl Next Door 2004,  R)
The Girl Next Door
When you first look at the description for this film, you might seem slightly put off about the idea of the lead female character being a porn star, but the story isn't all about that, and does actually have a soul and heart. Of course there is the slight nudity, but then what R-rated comedy film doesn't have nudity? The script is very cleverly written, with smart jokes and lovable characters. You can feel just what the characters might feel, and really makes you think what you would do. Everyone portrays a wonderful character from Emile Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert to Timothy Olyphant, Paul Dano and Chris Marquette are a joy to watch. It's not the kind of film to watch as a family, but do not enter it thinking it's all about sex. Enjoy

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
The problem when writing reviews for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, is that they are so perfect in every way known, that there reviews will be so familiar. Each film gets better than the last, and Return of the King pulls out all the stops to bring you an unforgettable masterpiece of epic proportions. The story is well written, with the relationships between the characters really appearing.

The special effects were wonderful again, along with the locations and creatures. It becomes near impossible to spot the point when the CGI doubles become the real actors. The music again, really set the tone for the film, and expanded on the adventure. The acting was superb again, especially Andy Serkis' performance as both the non-cgi and cgi versions of Smeagol/Gollum.

There isn't much to say about this film apart from BRILLIANT. If you haven't seen these yet, you don't know what your missing. Once the end credits start rolling, you start to feel a feeling of sadness deep inside you. An unforgettable journey has come to an end. He's one fan who hope Peter Jackson will finally choose to make The Hobbit books into a cinematic masterpiece.

The film deserved the 11 academy awards it got. You should go out now and pick this up. I also would recommend the extended editions for each films. You gather lots more action and back story, along with Sarumans missing death scene.

Titanic (in 3D) 2012,  PG-13)
Titanic (in 3D)
If you ever want to see one of the best film-making examples, then 'Titanic' is one of them. Some of the lines might feel a bit cheesy and the love story lines might feel a bit too much love filled, but just watching it was an amazing experience, and i was only watching it on a DVD. The fact that the film is based on something which actually happened, makes it so tragic and so emotional to watch. I'm not normally an emotional guy, but i just felt devastated seeing everyone happening on it. The music doesn't help prevent the emotional experience, as it's some of the best music i've heard on dramatic sequences. The special effects are also amazing too with some amazing realistic shot of the ship. A lot people seem to be put off by this film, but i think its a work of movie making at its best.

Into the Wild 2007,  R)
5
Alpha Dog 2006,  R)
Alpha Dog
Well built characters and an emotional storyline helps creates an entertaining and heart-filled drama, with wonderful performances by all of it young cast.
6
Little Miss Sunshine 2006,  R)
7
King Kong 2005,  PG-13)
King Kong
Peter Jackson does it again. After creating the amazing Lord of the Rings trilogy, Jackson has turned to the classic King Kong and remade it his way. Any other director and it could have turned out bad, but Jackson has managed to make it as epic as the Rings trilogy, with a wonderful story and fantastic effects, turning King Kong into an exciting modern day classic.
8
Donnie Darko 2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
Weird and bizarre, but so beautifully shot and acted that you can not help but fall in love with this film. The characters are likable and although it has many twists and turns, the basic story should be able to be grasped easily by most viewers.
9
No Country for Old Men 2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men
Wonderfully crafted and directed, 'No Country for Old Men' is one of the best films of 2007. Huge levels of drama and suspense builds up to a unexpected climax. Javier Bardem rightly deserved his Oscar win just for creating such an iconic and terrifying villain.
10
Carlito's Way 1993,  R)
Carlito's Way
Superb crime thriller which places Pacino further as one of the masters of this genre. The supporting cast, with a wonderful turn by Sean Penn, and the well written script keeps you hooked into the very end, with the want for more.
11
Bean 1997,  PG-13)
Bean
Mr. Bean is brought to the big screen and placed all the way in America. Although the country is different, this doesn't limit the comedy at all. There are some classic moments featured, as Atkinson continues to play the role perfectly.
