Not much of a fan of romantic flicks, this film however impressed me more than the usual love story. It was not much the story that captured my attention, but rather Felicity Jones' performance. She displayed an emotion that I could connect with. Her eyes, the unspoken words and her body language felt very natural that we could sense her pain and sometimes despair of wanting to be with the man that she loves. From the female point of view, I think director Drake Doremus brilliantly illustrated a painful love story not by exaggerating it but in a true and realistic manner.

Interesting overview on the relationship between Freud and Jung, and Jung and his patient, Sabina as well! The film might consist only of talking heads but with the clever dialogues and great acting from the magnificent cast, we forget the whole aspect of talking heads.

This film may be 3 hours long but it is filled with very interesting cinematography and, incredible representation of Russians struggling for their survival. Considering that the story takes place in the 15th century, we see how the religion has an major impact on the people. A film to see but only if you're able to appreciate great art and religion blend in one film.
