My Favorite Movies

That movie really really impressed me ! Those special effects were great for 80-year old movie, I mean this movie is the ancestor of all the great high-budget sci-fi blockbusters of today or yesterday. The fact that it was a 2 hours and a half silent movie didn't bother me at all. I very much loved the architecture of the buildings that were built or drawn. This whole imagination is amazing ! Fritz Lang really was a genius. I think that "Le roi et l'oiseau" got it's idea of "underground town" from this movie. When we watch this movie for the first time and we try analyze it, we can't really said from which period it really is. Well we surely can suppose that it's old because it's silent but I think it's in a way : timeless.

The music was really great because it just takes you in this world and it's really synchronised with the acting, the events. The orchestra just plays 2h30min non-stop.

The quote that was shown at the end was good too.
"There can be no understanding between the hand and the brain unless the heart acts as mediator."

In a word : "Parfait !"
I love every bit of it, the picture, the music, the actors, the costumes, etc... I even went out to see it twice, which is something that I rarely do when it comes to films in theaters ! Bravo Mr.Allen, you stunned me with this beautiful story of yours mixed with that enchanting jazzy soundtrack from the 20's. Owen Wilson was great playing an ex-script writer from Hollywood wanting to achieve his lifetime dream by settling in Paris in a small attic room where he could observe and admire the star at night and become a full time novelist. His wife on the other hand wants to settle in Malibu which isn't the same as Paris , at all. Owen , aka Gil Pender will make some interesting discoveries along his strolls in Paris by night. The spectator has not ought to know a lot about Paris during the twenties but a minimum of culture is kind of .. required to know the film, if those who have seen it know what I mean. I will definitely buy this one as soon as it gets out in dvd or bluray ! This brilliant film made me want to go out more and walk in Paris...Aaaah Paris !

Woow !! This movie just blew me away... First I was completely in love with the movie and Chris's story and then I read the book which is very well written by Jon Krakauer. It's a sad but true story.. Sean Penn did a great job there. Chris McCandless really had the guts.

Amazingly well done and very touching . Liam Neeson plays so well !

I love this movie because it's so well done and sad at the time .. Tom Hanks just makes the movie fantastic.

The best there is with Simon Pegg is in that movie, I think.
It's extremely funny plus it has a really great story.

Breathtaking performance and film ! Mozart's got a quite weird-funny laugh !

True and horrifying story about what happened to the jews during the second world war... Adrian Brody's acting is stupendous. This is a must-see, except not for the faint-hearted.

Wow ! This movie was really really good, I didn't expect it to be that good at first, Emile Hirsch is great, Elisha Cuthbert is cute.. Awsome ! In a certain way it touched me ... I wasn't expecting at all this kind of ending and I was glad ! In a nutshell all I want to say that is : this movie ROCKED THE HOUSE !

At first I didn't want to watch this movie .. I don't know why. But now I know why I HAD to see it. I really liked it, it's cute, funny, sad in overall Brilliant ! The main actress Gianna Jun is so cute and scary, when she gets rid of her poor "savior" she's kind of frightening. But when she's crying like the main actor says : "She's beautiful". It makes you think about Love... It also shows how a guy should act/behave in a relationship. I learned a lot. I found this movie so cute and excellent !

THAT ... was one of the most BRILLIANT movie I've ever seen !! Heath is so scary and I wasn't expecting Two-Face to come into play ! WOW ! The actors are perfect and the scenario is magestic ! BRAVO !

Oh My God !!!!!!!! This movie was funny as hell ! It made me cried of laughter ! The characters are just Sooo excellent ! The story was just oroginal and Great at that time !

This movie is amazingly brilliant ! The characaters are good, I like the music too. The sets are superb ! It really blowed me away !

Great, that was worth it.
I loved this stereotyped neighborhood, with all the lonely-curious housewives who get bored until their husband come back from work at the exact same time. And there's also the part when all the husbands go to play golf at the same time again., that's just delightful ! Edward's mansion is great too ! It has completely nothing to do with the normal suburban colourfull house that are located at least 10 or 15 metres from it ! What can I say about Depp .... HE ROCKS !! He really was unrecognizable in this rol, it's amazing how he played the too much-innocent-lonely-imaginative and clumsy Edward ! And... Winona Ryder is just soooo sweet in the girl who fell in love with the dreamy boy ! She is just cute. In a nutshell this movie is a pure sweet romantic comedy !

Wow ! What should I say about this movie... I don't even know where to start ! First of all I though that the idea of WWII SS zombies was original and it was. The story was credible and a little bit fantasist but good. The idea of the golden coin and jewels was great, we're not expecting this at all. I didn't think that this film would be THAT gore. This film might be one of my best horror movie I've seen for years !

What an extremely good interpretation by Mister Bruno Ganz ! The anger that he puts in the devilish character is most impressive and strong, you can really feel what a monster Hitler was, and how his generals were affraid of him... Alexandra Maria Lara played a secretary named Traudl Junge who worked for Hitler and tells how llife in the bunker was during her 2 years and a half stay. The actress is very cute. The film shows how Berlin was being destroyed bits by bits and people were accusing anyone of bolshevik, and those who were accused were severly punished. Berlin had no soldiers left, the rest was the Hitlerian youth or inexperienced soldiers who didn't fight on any front.

How sad... The movie and the actors are great ! No doubt about that ! Especially Armand Assante ! There's also a good surprise appearence by Celia Cruz and Tito Puente, great salsa/mambo artists ! The story is well done. The song "Beautiful Maria of my soul" is so dramaticaly beautiful and I won't stop listening to it.

This movie made me want to go back and re-visit Vietnam, I was so touched by the landscapes of the sets, where this movie was shot, I know things have changed during 57 years and everything but I remember when I went in 2003 it still looked like this : with the merchant boats, the floating market, those old colonial buildings that still stand on their "feet". I forgot the atrocities that this country suffered, it really made me think about it... Both main actors played really well. I would like now to read the book.

Great film. The dialogs are not frequent in it, it could be a silent film, all is about what they have in mind, their glances. The silent parts are well shoot. The relationship between the two main characters is fun to watch. I loved the ending.

A childhood dream . . . And the songs are just wonderful !

JUST LOVING IT !!! Well Roger Morre is kind of old in that one and it's by the way his last interpretation of James Bond. The soundtrack is just amazing, the casting is great too. Mr Zorin alias Christopher Walken is by far my brest vilain. The spots where James Bond fights are just splendid !



The thing that I've just noticed is that, the trailer just reveals you half of the movie and half of the important things you must see on your own... That trailer is kind of stupid...

Ce film était franchement drole, Didier Bourdon et Bernard Campan forment un duo d'enfer. Leur blagues et les situations des personnages sont très amusantes, Didier est le bourgeois raciste d'extreme droite et Bernard et l'instituteur enseignant dans un collège en ZEP à Saint-Denis qui est d'extreme gauche. On voit bien la situation dans laquelle ces personnages se trouvent. Le scenario a bien été écrit, les répliques sont bonnes, bref le film est à voir.

One of my childhood's classic super sssssssssmokin' movie. This Jim Carrey is on Red Bull, he is so freakin' hilarious in that movie ! Cameroon Diaz was sure hot and seductive in that one. The stroy is quite good, it has good similarities with the cartoons. The dialogs in this movie are impossible to forget !

Excellent movie in every way. The scenes are hot and thrilling. The acting is great and story is perfect.

I am very proud to see that this film was made by a director who comes from Bolivia and who started from scratch and made this great work of filming. I found this movie very very touching, the only movie to make me cry. It puts focuses on two major events, 1 : the discovery of America by Columbus and the slavery of the natives and 2 : the exploitation of water by some private western water corporation so that locals will have to pay an exorbitant amount of tax to consume their own water. I was also impressed by Gael Garcia Bernal's acting skills.. he previously impressed me while playing a young Ernesto CHE Guevara.

Great russian movie. I found the film quite odd at the beginning, but as the film went on, It was getting more and more interesting and surprisingly good. At first view you directly think that it's a violent and gore movie but in fact it's a romantic film which stands strong and solid thanks to the two main characters and especially the beautiful Chulpan Khamatova (?????? ????????). At first sight with his powers, the protagonnist, Sacha makes us think of Wolverine. This movie is a great revelation for me.

I must watch it again...
