Night of the Living Dead 1968,  R)
Night of the Living Dead
The first film in a long line of zombie movies. There are many imitators, but nothing comes close.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior 1981,  R)
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
Another great post apocolyptic film. A classic, and one I think deserves a place in a vault for preservation, just in case a nuke drops. The rowdy villians drive stripped cars, and bikes and their leader wears a metal hockey mask. And don't forget about the big chase scenes.
3
Pan's Labyrinth 2006,  R)
Pan's Labyrinth
Another favorite film for 2007. Don't let the idea of subtitles deter you from this movie. This is an amazing story. Not for the kiddies, though.

28 Days Later 2002,  R)
28 Days Later
They are not zombies and they no longer behave like humans. They run fast and kill you by beating you to death, and that scares the shit out of me.
5
District 9 2009,  R)
District 9
I enjoyed this movie. The first time I watched it, I thought it was an unusual form of filmmaking. The movie began as a documentary and morphed into a shockingly intense film. I loved it!
6
Groundhog Day 1993,  PG)
Groundhog Day
I like the idea of living life over with no consequences. The repetition only makes it better to watch. My favorite comdey of all time.
7
Office Space 1999,  R)
Office Space
Anyone who has worked in an office can relate to most of this, and that is why this comedy is so great.
8
American Psycho 2000,  R)
American Psycho
High society yuppie with a taste for murder. The best moments are when he talks about Phil Collins while getting ready for sex, and his phone conversation to his lawyer. The book is a lot more graphic and wordy. I've read it twice.
9
Wrecked 2011,  R)
Wrecked
Excellent movie done by an excellent actor.
