I did not know what to expect when I first saw it. But as soon as I heard young Elizabeth Swan singing, I could not tear my eyes away if my life depended on it!
Johnny Depp. Immediatly you think of Jack Sparrow. He was absoloutly amazing as Captain Jack Sparrow. I loved the way his plan changed whenever the situation changed. Though Elizabeth said he had no sense of hygeine I think he looks HOT! He's got the bad boy look going. I'm a sucker for that.
Orlando Bloom. No longer an elf he is now a tense black smith. He showed how social standing was back then. As the movie progressed he loosened up more.
Captain Barbossa. The word makes you think of a man who probably has had a sword at his side since he was a teenager. Though not alot of information was given about his past, you knew quickly alot about him.
Elizabeth Swan. She played the damsel in distress for the most part of this movie. Except she did hit that one guy pretty well. She seemed to me standoffish and sheltered at the beginning. She became more accostumed to it, though I don't think of her free will.
"Now....Bring me that horizon." -Captain Jack Sparrow
OH MY GOD!!!! This kept me on the edge of my seat as soon as it started!!!!! It was FUCKING AWESOME!!!! I thought Johnny Depp was hilarious beyond belief!! I mean there were all those other Jacks [and every female knows that there can never be too many Jacks] that were talking to him. Of course the lines between him and Barbosa was pure genius. Will Turner was hot as ever [but not as hot as Johnny Depp of course] but I though Orlando Bloom changed the character too much. He was back stabbing way too much for my taste. Keira Knightly is without doubt the spawn of Satan. The way she weasled her way into power when she knows nothing diplomacy or piracy. If it wasn't for Barbosa or Will or Jack, she would be longgggggggg dead!! And I wish she was. I soo did not expect Will to become the next captain of the Flying Dutchmen. But its a fitting ending. Elizabeth is married to will so she can't get at Jack, but she can only see him every ten years and that rocks because we all know Will is too good for her. What I thought was especially ironic was that at the very beginning of the first movie, Jack is in a dingy and Barbossa has his ship. The ending of the third one, Jack is in a dingy and Barbossa has the 'Black Pearl.' I hope they do another one because they left it so open for another one.
All in all, I am definitly going to see it again. Why? CAUSE IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!
"Did noone come to save me just because they missed me?........I'm standing over there with them." - Captain Jack Sparrow
I went into the movie with high hopes. I was not entirely disappointed.
Captain Jack Sparrow. He seemed as funny as ever, and basically trying to save his own life from Davy Jones. It gave alot of POTC fans alot to discusse as it dropped hints as to his past. The only two parts I did not like was when he kissed Elizabeth {I did swear and scream at the screen} and the part where the Kraken ate him. But he died bravely [tear] besides. You know he's going to come back.
Will Turner. He relaxed more to a pirate picture also seemed to show more leadership than Jack Sparrow. I hated the way his face looked when he saw Jack and Elizabeth kissed.
Elizabeth Swan. She should have married Will and not kissed Jack. She seemed to try and be pirate. I think she's a slut.
Davy Jones. He was brought to life in a terrifying and exhilirating way.
All in all, I AM DYING FOR THE THIRD ONE!!!!!!!!!!
"I love those moments. I love to wave at them as they pass by." - Captain Jack Sparrow
I did not like the first 'Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' at all, so I was not so sure about this one. But it had Johnny Depp in it, so I was curious. I LOVED IT!!!! The first one seemed like cotton candy and bunny rabbits, fluffy. No deep emotion really. This one had more emotion, and much more funny. Johnny Depp gave a before picture of Willie Wonka. He seemed like the child that never got past the age of nine or eleven. He seemed more like a kid than an adult. And i liked it.
'Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why its candy." -Charlie
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that it was so great. The way that all the characters were different and yet they all fit together was really touching. Johnny Depp is my favorite actor of all time, so I especially liked him. He was so funny, it was hard not to! I liked Benny too.
"Your scared, and I know why."-Sam
This is one of the most moving movies that have graced the movie theater screen in a long, long time. I guess it showed that there is a little decency in HollyWood after all. I am soo glad that it is a true story. I highly recommend to anyone.
I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was so GOOD.
Johnny Depp was the perfect Edward. His acting sad and confused was really captivating. He was so....Oh I can't put it into words! But I loved this movie. I thought it was going to be all dark and freaky, but it wasn't.
"Because you asked me to."- Edward Scissorhands
I LOVED IT! Not only because johnny Depp gave you a look into the writer of 'Peter Pan.' but it showed how it important to dream and to try to stay a little bit a child.
"That is Neverland."James Barry
Antonio Banderas was hot and sexy in this movie. One minute he's a grieving, drunk outlaw, the next he's a revenger with a gentleman's cover. I loved how he showed all different areas of expertise. Fighting with swords and guns, riding, dancing, thinking quickly, and charm.
Anthony Hopkins is a true geniuse. You could see the pain and grief on his face when he looked at Elena. The way his anger showed from his eyes when he looked at Don Rafael, and the pride when he looked at Alejandro.
Elena. I am sure she appealed to masculine audience, twirling her skirt all around. You could see her torment in deciding between her two fathers.
"You were trying. She was succeeding."-Alejandro
I thought it so funny and romantic!!!! The way all the ends tied up so cleverly was a surprise. A good one. I especially thought Rupert and Reese made a divine couple in the movie. {not in real life} and Colin was witty beyond average. A really really good movie.
Pure classic. The acting, the swords and the story were above compare.
"Look who knows somemuch! Turns out your friend is only mostly dead. Please open his mouth. Now with mostly dead, he's slighly alive. Now, with all dead. There's only one thing you can do."
"What?"
"Go thru his pockets and look for loose change."
I thought it was a hilarious spoof of the Robin Hood, but a good one. Cary Elwes was a great Robin Hood. I don't remember who played Maid Marian, but she reminded me of the classic princess/mermaid. I don't know why I'm thinking mermaid, but I am. A good movie.
"I can speak with a British accent."
I did not like it as much as the first one at all. It seemed to much like a soap opera. Blackmailing, divorce and another man. It just did not click.
Antonio Banderas is getting older as are we all, but he really showed it in this movie. His hair was thinner and his face stuck out more. But he still was funny and brilliant.
Elena stayed the same as she had in the first movie.
Their son was a brat if i ever met one and i have.
"Never do that again. Unless you have my permission." - Alejandro
I liked this one alot. Its a great movie for girls to see with their dads, and if anyone's dad is like mine, you know what I mean. What I mean is that its not rude, or vulgar. A good movie.
Though an 'old' movie, Erroyl Flynn still leaves women sighing. Remembering the time of the film, it is amazing the affect it has.
"Smartes man in the Caribbean, eh? Well, I think the smartest man just made the stupidest mistake."
