Clint's crowning glory, his masterpiece.
5
Juno 2007,  PG-13)
Juno
In a word brilliant. I love this movie to pieces. Ellen page is a star, Michael Cera is superb and the soundtrack is awesome. My favourite movie of 2008 so far (June 24).
6
The Dark Knight 2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
If the excellent Batman Begins was the appetiser this is the main course. A truly memorable experience that transcends the its filmic boundaries. Heath Ledger is gaining worthy kudos for his final complete role but Christian Bale is just as good as Batman. Then there's the awesome support cast with Maggie Gyllenhaal confirming Katie Holmes performance in the first chapter was second rate. The greatest star however doesn't appear on screen, director Christopher Nolan, undoubtedly one of the finest lensmen in history. There is no other word for this film than magnificent, the acting, story and action make this arguably the best total movie experience since The Return of the King.
