  Sanders's Rating My Rating
1
300 2007,  R)
300
My new No.1 Film, pure unadulterated style in brutality. A 100% must see.
2
Battle Royale 3D 2001,  Unrated)
3
Transformers 2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
A brilliant action film, full of ground breaking effects and is also highly entertaining, Highly Recommended.
4
Inside Man 2006,  R)
Inside Man
Probably the best heist film to ever be put to film, great cast and exceedingly clever. Dont miss it
5
Cloverfield 2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield
Probably one of the most tense and gripping films of recent years. The perspective its shot from really makes you feel involved, rather than a disembodied observer. The whole mystery of the event will make questions race through your head for hours, if not days after watching it. You really will sit on the edge of your seat with this one.
6
Shoot 'Em Up 2007,  R)
Shoot 'Em Up
I loved this film from start to finish. more so because i didn't go into it expecting something serious. The action is fast, furious and very slick (bar maybe the skydiving bit, that was a bit over the top). Clive Owen is one of my top actors and he played this role fantastically, i couldnt see anyone else doing it so well and Paul Giamatti made a great villain. All in all a must see for lovers of action, serious or not.
7
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children 2005,  PG-13)
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
Action that is unparralled by any other anime or film for that matter, plus CGI animation that is second to none. See this film, or your missing out on life..
8
Versus 2000,  R)
Versus
A mix of the Matrix, Land of the Dead and House of Flying Daggers. Very very awesome, and gory...with some well placed comedy too. Asian Film > Hollywood
9
Azumi 2003,  Unrated)
Azumi
Think along the lines of Crouching Tiger and then magnify the awesomeness by x1000. I loved this movie from begining to end, just like Versus. Kitamura is an amazing director. NB. The man in white is one of the best "bad guys" ive seen in a movie for years.
10
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 2006,  PG-13)
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
The best of the 3 by a country mile. I am biased because i love everything Japanese....but after the first two of just boring ass drag races, drifting is so much more skillful and interesting to watch. I still say, if you want to see pure unadulterated Drifting watch Initial D, but this one pulls it off pretty well too.
11
Silent Hill 2006,  R)
Silent Hill
Best horror movie, not in years but i think more in generations. I havnt played the games but it sure as hell made me want to. Fucked up at times, but so so good to watch. Even if your not much into horror, watch it!
12
Akira 1988,  R)
Akira
A landmark movie in the world of Japanese Animation, aswell as the inspiration behind the Matrix.
13
Ghost in the Shell 2 - Innocence 2004,  PG-13)
Ghost in the Shell 2 - Innocence
One of the most beautiful Anime films ever created...it has a confusing storyline at times, just as the first did...but its vastly superior, both visually and in action. Must See!
14
A Bittersweet Life (Dalkomhan insaeng) 2005,  Unrated)
A Bittersweet Life (Dalkomhan insaeng)
Awesome. one of the prime examples as to why Asian Film does it better!
15
Rat Race 2001,  PG-13)
Rat Race
Funniest Movie ive ever seen in my entire life, couldnt stop laughing...especially the whole stealing Hitlers Car, "SS in the parking lot!"
16
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith 2005,  PG-13)
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Im one huge Star Wars fan, theres hardly anything Lucas can do that will change that. Anyway, i have no idea why people dont like the new trilogy...get a grip and stop just clinging to the originals, EMBRACE BOTH. This 3rd one was the best in the new trilogy..and did a fantastic job of tieing the two trilogies together. Love Star Wars, or hate it....dont just love half of it...
17
House of Flying Daggers (Shi mian mai fu) 2004,  PG-13)
House of Flying Daggers (Shi mian mai fu)
Best Martial Arts movie ive seen in a very very long time. Much better than Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and the fight scenes are nothing short of an art form.
18
Equilibrium 2002,  R)
Equilibrium
Absolutely fantastic. I wish there had been more combat sequences as these are some of the best ive seen in any movie, even besting the Matrix. Christian Bale is perfect for his role and plays it with style. A must see!
19
Kaubôi Bibappu: Tengoku no Tobira (Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knockin' on Heaven's Door) 2001,  R)
Kaubôi Bibappu: Tengoku no Tobira (Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knockin' on Heaven's Door)
If you enjoy Anime in any form, be that the westernised Dragonball or something far more obscure, then you should watch Cowboy Bebop. The Movie is a great story, and has so many great scenes in it. You do not have to have seen the series to enjoy the film, you'll love it just the same.
20
Oldboy 2004,  R)
Oldboy
Can be very confusing to begin with, and can get even more confused when hypnotisim comes into it....the revelations that come about can be really shocking, as can some of the acts of violence. But a very deep and good psychological thriller.
21
Sky High 2003,  R)
Sky High
Another Kitamura great, the only niggles i have with it...is that its not as action packed as his others, and some parts can be tacky...but thats simply due to the fact that they dont rely on CGI or overdone special effects.
