I'll be honest I liked it in the cinema. Broad screen in Leicester Sq. Some of it falls flat but once it gets past the Windu/Palpatine fight it's top notch (dialogue aside).
A film I don't think I'd tire of liking. Though lightened in tone to the book it nonetheless has moments that are 'bloody', so to speak. Sam Neill in his heyday.
In theory pointless, but features Sam Neill who perhaps has past the zenith of his career...the man who was once touted to suceed Roger Moore as James Bond.
Marginally good with half decent score by John Williams. If it had Sam Neill returning as Grant I think it would've been extra special. However, anything good to this perhaps ends when we have the T-Rex in San Diego.
I found this better than Flags, moving and putting a face to an enemy still thought as savages. In the cinema there was not a sound as it played. Only time I've experienced that.
few make such an accurate movie on the war lest from the German prospective...other than the Germans themselves as with Das Boot, Stalingrad and others. Simply put, this film is maginificently stirring, moving and emotive.
For reasons yet unknown I'm coming out of this film liking it. Kurt Russell is the bomb and my hero for getting a lapdance from Vanessa Ferlito who is now top of my list.
Other than Kirk teaming up at the end with JL it sucks. The crash of the Enterprise is worth watching though I tend to ignore it for the death of the greatest Trek captain.
I could not help but fall in love with this film. Splashes of Wes Anderson, funny and emotive. The paegent segment is kind of disturbing yet when the gang get up to dance it makes the smile return.
