this movie would have to produce the most memorable lines. Great cast, and with such a surprise twist the first time you watch it.... it just doesnt seem to fail the second and third time that you see it again.
visually compelling!!! grew up watchin transformers the episodes...and to see it as a live-action movie just blew my brains away. Definately impressed by SFX. But it probably should be expected by action man Michael Bay
Even though I haven't seen the other batman movies ...yet (and I made a promise that one day I will), this is by far the best. The delivery of the Joker was amazing, obviously since he was played by Heath Ledger. And Aaron Eckhart impressed as Harvey Dent transformed into the psychotic Two-Face. From time to time, it seemed like the movie was going to have one of those long, excruciating monologues. However, there wasn't too many dull moments. As the action and talents just kept hitting.
An awesome experience on the big screen. One that shouldn't be missed. I'd definately see it again.
It starts of with a pretty slow introduction to the two detectives investigating a cat-and-mouse crime. But when they start solving each puzzle, which leads to another revealing moment each time. It's what happens in the end that leaves you clinging to the edge of your seat.
After seeing this film, it just made me wanting more. I wanted to see the theatrical stage show towards the end. Tim Burton had captured that theatrical motion onto film. And there just lovely compositions in cinematography. There was also great talent from the actors as they sang their way to some tunes that just get stuck in your head.
I found that the cinematography was the main appeal to me in this graphic novel turned film. It was amazing seeing the images just pop right out of the graphic novels. The lighting was beautifully crafted and made the scenes amazing. The storyline may seem abit off at times in the film, but i was just captivated by its stylisation.
An absolute stunner. It leaves you glued to your seat as you want to find out more. As Jim Carrey's character Joel tries to forget Clementine, he just discovers more and you go through the same experience, trying to peice it all together.
One of Jim Carrey's best performance, along with Kate Winslet.
Michel Gondry has a unique style to his approach to making the film, his method is so practical, and there is hardly any need for CGI. And the atmosphere created on set had improved the performance of this film all the better.
I say get the DVD and watch the movie, then check out the bonus material.
Hilarious and a captivating story. It's a heart-warming family film, which has morale. It is also an all time classic and has the most memorable scenes. As well as the talents of Johnny Depp and Vincent Price.
An absolute adventure of self-discovery. A intriguing insight to one mans path of life and how his encounters shape others and himself. it defiantely makes me want to go on a adventure and meet and greet with the wonders of the world. On another hand, it is a story of realisation. And points out a meaning in life, which everyone discovers at a time that is almost too late. This is a story that would motivate most (like myself) to take a step forward and take advantage of what the world has to offer in its travels on winding paths.
This is just a mind bubbling film that leaves you guessing. It is so abstract in its translation. I had to definately watch it again the second time to really get the small details. Mainly because I didn't believe it the first time. However, I just couldn't stop watching this movie. It is one that stikes an intriguing interest and thoughts. When watching the movie you can't have your mind wonder off for a second, 'cause when you do, you end up in this lost maze of whats happening.
An animated film about the struggle of growing up in Japan during the wartime. A young boy and his little sister do what they can to survive each day as they await for the re-uniting with the only family they have.
It's a very heart-felt story, which I just found very emotionally moving.
It's just a movie that you can enjoy by its amazement. It truely brought this world to life. Seeing the 3D and the normal screening were, either way an experience. People keep stating that it's a predictable plot, well of course. District 9 pretty much played on a race being kicked out and mis-treated... and then there's war. But it's about how the film plays on that story, the way it pulled it off. And stunning FX definitely did that!
If that projected world becomes believable, then it has achieved something astounding.
A top notch animated film, with a diverse range of interesting characters. I was kept in this intriguing world of spirits while following a young girls experience of this place. It made me feel apart of this world, as Miyazaki shows these odd looking characters to have such a different lifestyle, however still have a humna quality to them. You begin believing in this world of personalities and end up captivated.
It's got that classic 2D animation that you just love. It may seem ridiculous that the main character is a horse, who's also narrating the entire movie. But its the strength in the story that made this film amazingly moving and quite captivating. Music was also an incredible boost in the feel of it.
