Marcello plays both. And what great actor he is. |

What a masterpiece, in every way - Perkins' acting, Orson' directing and vision, camera angles, light, scenery. It manages to preserve Kafka's work and still prints Orson's personal touch. |

Samurai Rebellion is one of the greatest achievements in the genre. Kobayashi, more than Kurosawa, makes me think of Sergio Leone in the world of the Samurai, despite the remake of Kurosawa's "Yojimbo" by the Italian director. Kobayashi fills his film with intense human depth. Honor, morality and love move Samurai Rebellion and its conflits and make it a must-see for anyone who loves cinema - specially Oriental cinema fans. |
