One of the best films I've seen, period. Who would have thought Tom Cruise could play such a deep and interesting character, one of his finist performances to date. Jamie Foxx was also brilliantly cast as the innocent cab driver caught up as the wheelman for a stone contract killer. Mann's use of camera lens for nightime LA gave a a great feel to the film, and the direction of the action, especially during the gunfight in the chinese dance club was magnificently gripping, with a great choice for backing music: Paul Okenfold's Ready Steady Go, with chinese dubbing lol.
Besson makes the most believable futures I've ever seen in film. The production values and meticulous detail on set designs was absolutely beautiful. Oldman is brilliant as usuall. One of my favourate films ever.
A timeless classic with astounding meticulous detail. Nothing is done crappy or half assed in this film. Brilliant dancers, the introduction of coulour makes the film beautifully vivid, and the story itself is one of the best ever.
Totally unrealistic, nearly fantasy like film that never fails to raise a smile. Tom Hanks perhaps puts in one of his best performances. Beautifully made.
Best fantasy film ever made. Cary Elwes is absolutely hilarious and has me in stitches most of the film. One of the best scripts ever written. Adorable movie.
One of the greatest Japanese movies ever. Period. Fukasaku is an amazing Director and Kitano performs as a brilliantly, amazingly scary evil school teacher. I can watch this film over and over again. If your a fan of this film, read the manga!!! which is where it came from.
