Collateral
One of the best films I've seen, period. Who would have thought Tom Cruise could play such a deep and interesting character, one of his finist performances to date. Jamie Foxx was also brilliantly cast as the innocent cab driver caught up as the wheelman for a stone contract killer. Mann's use of camera lens for nightime LA gave a a great feel to the film, and the direction of the action, especially during the gunfight in the chinese dance club was magnificently gripping, with a great choice for backing music: Paul Okenfold's Ready Steady Go, with chinese dubbing lol.
