Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror) 2007, R)
Just finished watching another film. The "sequal" to Death Proof by Tarantino. Robert "guerilla" Rodriguez directs this movie. Like an answer to a prayer I've been looking for a good version of Night of the Zombies (Battalion of the Living Dead)(Gamma 693)(The Chilling)(Sister of Death) and now I need not look. Everything I wanted and a hell of a lot more! Screw Romero , Rodriguez is my #1 Zombie director of the year! |

Witchblade 2006, Unrated)
This anime is tight! Okay so Witchblade was a comic from TopCow and did several crossovers (Witchblade/wonder woman, Witchblade/Alien/Predator, Witchblade/Medievil Spawn, Witchblade/Vampirella) and a long 100+ issue comic 'Witchblade' feat Sarah Pazzini (which is the dullest!) the cool thing is Witchblade is not a superhero but an artifact. Some superheros draw their energy from an artifact (iron man) yet beholding the witchblade makes you a superhero. But my interpretation is that the Witchblade is the super hero you want to find the history too, not just the many Woman whom have, do, or will come to possess it. By the way, the witchblade can only attach itself to women and only those chosen to possess it by the Witchblade itself. It flutters itself through history. There are some really excellent Witchblade comics out there so it was my intention to watch this japanimation! I liked the first 3 episodes that came on DVD. Very well presented, good details, colouring, voice overs, story arch. It's your typical well executed Anime. So yesterday I paid out for the full 6 seasons and I am getting 13 hours and 5 minutes of sweet, fast, and sexy action. |
