Omg I loved this film! Like Memoirs of a Geisha but with out the trimming down to a cute little package for consumers in the west & with even more beautiful detailing!!
One of my favorite movies.
An awesome "zombie" movie (even if they weren't really zombies, but instead "infected". Kind of like in the Resident Evil video games).
The movie had a very realistic feel to it, and basically skipping the pretenious cooing,...KICKED A**! In the same league as George A. Romero, but with help of modern effects and such.
"Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice that strange and interesting plant in the window. What is it?"
I just re-watched this for the first time in a while. It's more fabulous than it was before! How could I forget that Steve was in it! I love him to death!
Suprisingly good,
but be careful who you watch this with (kids, parents, etc...)
on a sidenote,
I love penguins, not quite as much as Jessica's character and definately not as much as Danes'! LOL! Don't skip watching the credits,...wow! so wrong. The plastic surgeon was more annoying than I think he was supposed to be and Dane definately brought himself into his character. Jessica was cute and gorgeous...as usual, but the penguins were cuter to me ;)
a bit done up and packaged,...but an adorable package none the less.
A very retro yet overdone tv dinner of a early 60's movie throwback. Very Dorris day with a modern touch.
August rush is a magical journey into the world of talent, music, and fate.
Keri Russel's eyes do most of her acting, and Robin Williams plays a slimeball of a troubled man who takes advantage of other's gifts and abilities. Rhys-Meyers is beautiful, but should leave the music to August, and last but not least Freddie Highmore/Evan/August Rush is magical.
The end could have been a little but more, but the movie loses very little because of it.
Overall the movie is great and I highly reccomend it! :)
Contrary to the popular oppinion,
I enjoyed this film.
The ending was boring, and I say they should've cut her head off, but maybe that's cause I don't like Kirsten that much, even though she's an alright actress. Also, the little girl in the movie was adorable.
The clothes and scenery were beautiful,
and instead of the line "let them eat cake" she should've said let them wear cake...hey were those converse high tops I saw btw?...nevermind that, I give the movie 4 stars, and I want French pasteries...NOW!
It was sort of like a documentary,...but scripted & with B stars.
It did a good job of making it's point & case against consumerism, immigration issues, non-vegetarianism/the meat industry, nutrition/sanity issues with fast food/meat, human rights problems, animal rights problems, big chain corps taking over and losing individuality & consideration of others, etc...
Had a lot of B stars, mostly PETA faces, which makes sense given the movies messages. Fez (Wilmar Valderrama) as Mexican,...interesting,...but someone should of pushed Avril off that hill with the chance was given. lol Horrible acting from her.
Pretty good, I like the message, but should've traded in the stars for a documentary. It would've pressed the points better and cheapened it less by not using a gimmick to try & get more watchers.
Awkward but wise. Odd AND strong. Barbra starts as a spark & ends like a firework. Mandy Patinkin is wonderful & Amy Irving is graceful. Great film facing what people think they are supposed to do vs. what they really are supposed to. Not just women, but any one seen as weak. Don't be underestimated, & if you are prove them/you wrong.
