A José Padilha's masterpiece with a tough and powerful performance of Wagner Moura, as Capitão Nascimento (one the most beloved characters of Brazilian cinema). André Ramiro (Last Stop 174 - Brazil's Official Entry to the Oscars), Caio Junqueira (Central Station - Academy Award nominee), Milhem Cortaz (Carandiru, that was a nominee for the Golden Palm at Cannes) and Fernanda Machado (from the soap opera Paraiso Tropical, nominated for the International Emmy) also give wonderful performances. |
