This film is one of my top 3 all time favs. Awesome acting (Del Toro/Spacey) brilliant writing and so cleverly put together, esp. from a first time director... You'll never see the end coming...
4
Transformers 2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
Michael Bay and co totally surpassed all my expectations with this beauty. First off the whole concept is brilliant. Next comes the script, flows well, tongue-in-cheek, and top acting all round. However, right from the get go the main thing you will notice is that you can't take your eyes off the screen, bar raising SFX. 5/5

Watchmen 2009,  R)
Watchmen
So much more than a comic book movie, they said it was unfilmable and having read the book I'd thought the same. Hats off then to Snyder who clearly felt passionately about the source and has done an incredible job. Not to everyones taste, smart, complex, dark, watch it.
