The Librarian: Quest for the Spear 2004,  Unrated)
The Librarian: Quest for the Spear
Noah Wyle was made for this part. This movie is hilarious and a fun romp for mythology and history buffs. It's like taking Indiana Jones and dividing him into two people, one the professor and one the adventurer and then teaming them up. This is one underrated movie.
2
Frequency 2000,  PG-13)
Frequency
This movie is full of drama and suspense and is the perfect movie for those who love scifi but also for those who don't. The drama of a family coming back together and dealing with life choices is amazing.
3
The Count of Monte Cristo 2002,  PG-13)
The Count of Monte Cristo
Jim Caviezel and Guy Pearce entered my radar after this sweeping version of the book. Caviezel proved he could do drama in this movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat with the plots, twists and breathtaking confrontations.
4
10 Things I Hate About You 1999,  PG-13)
10 Things I Hate About You
This movie is one of Heath Ledger's best. I love it, and it is the best contemporary setting Shakespeare movie ever.
5
Extreme Measures 1996,  R)
Extreme Measures
Arguably Hugh Grant's finest performance. The drama is fantastic and the cast is amazing from David Morse's harsh crooked FBI agent to Gene Hackman's brilliance, this movie is a must see.
6
A Time to Kill 1996,  R)
A Time to Kill
This was a fairly well adapted movie and the cast is impeccable. Matthew McConaughey plays Jake with ease, Samuel L Jackson is on target and Kevin Spacey is the perfect jerk. The joyful inclusion of Keifer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, Oliver Platt and Sandra Bullock only adds to perfection of the cast in this wonderful look at the racism of a small town and the stand one lawyer takes to try and reverse it.
7
The Watcher 2000,  R)
The Watcher
The story is simple but the character interaction between cop and killer is eerie and suspense driven. James Spader and Keanu Reeves are made for the roles...
8
A Pyromaniac's Love Story 1995,  PG)
A Pyromaniac's Love Story
This movie is hilarious, the love stories crisscrossing into the story of a bakery burned to the ground are funny and heartwarming at the same time.
9
The Adventures of Milo and Otis (Koneko Monogatari) (A Kitten's Story) 1986,  G)
The Adventures of Milo and Otis (Koneko Monogatari) (A Kitten's Story)
Every kid and adult should see this masterpiece. Curiosity doesn't always kill the cat, but it sure drives the dog crazy! Loyalty is not gone and should not always be seen as just for people..
10
Shooting Fish 1997,  PG)
Shooting Fish
I found this treasure on accident, but it is one of the most fun buddy movies around.
11
Almost an Angel 1990,  PG)
Almost an Angel
Paul Hogan is funny as a reformed criminal trying to help a kids center. The best part though is the redemption stories, and Elias Koteas plays so well it touches your heart..
12
Surf Ninjas 1993,  PG)
Surf Ninjas
A mindless treasure with enough humor and martial arts to keep everyone occupied. I actually enjoy Rob Schneider in this movie.
